Video inspiration

Welcome to my blog today, my card was created for this weeks challenge, with crazies team on the Crazy4challenges blog.

For our challenge this week create a card using any technique that was inspired by a video.

I have spent some time lately taking stock of my supplies and ways to use them. There
are so many ways with videos out there to revisit on techniques. One that caught my eye
recently was Paper piecing using designer paper and stamps, which I found from Jennifer
McGuire. While I used the video for inspiration I final choice was the video of paper piecing a die cut image.

I have used the Tonic Studio die, Sending Love pretty pocket die set that was free in the Die-cutting essentials issue 61 magazine.

Birds of a feather

Welcome to today's card made for the CCEE Stampers blog challenge.

National Bald Eagle Day Today we celebrate the Bald Eagle. Make a card with a bird on it…extra points if it’s a Bald Eagle.

Well there are no extra points for me as I don't have any thing that resembles a Bald Eagle, but I found some nice designer paper with birds on it to use a a background. I thought it was about time I used some of my older (retired) products, they are just a waste sitting in the storage cupboard.

I have made a double platform in the center of the card using  Karen Burniston Lorna Label pop -up die (retired). It is my favourite way of using the pop up die.

Sweet Baby

Hi Crafting Friends,

It is week 3 on the Crazy4Challenges blog and that means it is time for a sketch challenge.

I was recently asked to make a welcome baby card, for a couple who were having a baby and liked pugs.
I didn't have any stamps of pugs, so I search clip art for my pug images. I created the inside of my card with the Karen Burniston photo collage pop-up. And added die cut words as embellishment.

Stellar Birthday

Hi Crafting Friends,

My card today is for the theme challenge with the team on the CCEE Stampers blog.

Youth Day Make a card for a kid of any age! We all have little kids in our life, but we also have those “big” kids who never seem to age. Your choice, a young person….or a person who never ages!

To make  my base card I have used the Lawn Fawn magic iris dies set. I have added the space embellishments from Karen Burniston.

I have use the Lawn Fawn super star stamps set, for the sentiments and the heat embossed star images.

Gin-credible Birthday

                                                  Hello Crafting Friends

Our challenge with the Crazies design team on Crazy4Challenge is to Celebrate World Gin Day with a card!

This week think of cocktail drinks, Juniper berries, the colors and flavors of Gin, Pink, Ink, Orange blossom, Rhubarb, blood orange, Violet, spiced, passionfruit, pineapple, mango, Lime.

I have made my card using the Fancy Label  Accordion Die from Karen Burniston. I added a solid front panel so that I could attached the sentiment.

I decorated each panel with stamps from Beccy's Place called Girls' Night.

The accordion folded card folds flat for postage and I have included and area on the back for a personal message.

My Handy Hero

Hello Crafting Friends,

It is time to join my friends on the CCEE Stampers blog for this weeks challenge.

Father’s Day Father’s Day in the USA falls on June 11th this year. Make a Father’s Day card. If, like me, your Father has gone to his heavenly reward, make a masculine card of any type for any man in your life!

It is not Father's day until September in Australia, so I created this card for the special Tradie in my life.

Okay I have had this stamp set and designer paper for quite sometime. it is amazing what you find hidden in your supplies when you have the time to look.
I also pulled out this hexagon nested die set from spellbinders that I have had for many years, and created a z fold card.

Glitter Lace

                                                           Hello Crafting friends.

This month on the Crazy4Challenges blog it is my turn to be the Hostess with the challenges.
I had some time to do a bit of trivia research and came up with this idea.

The month of June derives it name from Juno, the Roman Goddess of marriage. It was thought that couples who married in June would be blessed with prosperity and happiness. Brides seem to have lace on their dress so please create a card with Lace …either Real or Faux.

I have create a Faux lace background using micro fine glitter. Using a piece of wide patterned lace I attached it to the card with double sided tape. I then added the micro fine green glitter and rubbed it into the tape so that it adhered though the lace pattern. I then pull off the lace and added black glitter over the green and it adhered to the exposed tape. I then attached the die cut piece, cut out of the white base card.

Hello Beautiful

Hello Crafting Friends,

Welcome to this weeks challenge with the CCEE Stampers design team, our hostess this month is Vicky.

June Birth Month Flower: The Rose Symbolically, the rose has more meanings than one can count! • A pink rose means perfect happiness, while a red rose means “I love you.” • A white rose signifies innocence, purity, and new beginnings. • A yellow rose conveys jealousy! A bouquet of roses means sincere gratitude, whereas a single rose amplifies the meaning of the color (a single red rose means “I REALLY love you”). Make a card with a single rose or a bouquet of roses…or however many roses you want! Happy Rose Day!

I have created my card using Altenew - Layered Blossom cover die A and B.
I wasn't sure how it would look with the black outline, but the more I look at it, the happier I am with how it turned out, especially with the black sentiment and the pop of colour in the die cut word.
