The fabric of life

Today is the last challenge for hostess Frances on the CCEE stampers blog.

Sunday 27th November is Pins and Needles Day which commemorates the opening of a historical Broadway Play called Pins and Needles in 1937.

This week let's create cards with a sewing theme, using either stamps, dies,  papers, buttons, pins, needles or any combination of the above.

For my card I have used the Lots of pops die, designed by Karen Burniston for Elizabeth Craft Designs .
Designer paper in a sewing theme, Mo Manning stamps by Penny Black, buttons, twine, ribbon.

Cute Baby Girl

Hi Everyone,

It is the time for the sketch Challenge on Crazy 4 Challenges. When I first designed the sketch I was thinking of a floral theme, but I needed to build up my supplies of baby cards, so this is what I came up with.

The front is just made up with designer paper and die cut cuts.

I am still having fun creating the twisted panel card with twisted circle pop up die, designed by Karen Burniston for Elizabeth Craft Designs

Just some more designer paper, die cuts and a few stamps and the card is complete.

I love the way everything just folds down for postage.

Supplies
Elizabeth Craft Designs  Stitched oval , Fitted oval
Karen Bruniston designs  - Twist circle pop up  , Accordion Rectangle (speech bubble),  Lots of pops (baby banner) Stamps - Baby
Pre-made die cuts

Don't forget to check out the rest of the “Crazies” cards over on the Crazy 4 Challenges blog and also their individual blogs for more details.

Party Bears

Hi Everyone,
Welcome to another fun challenge with hostess Frances and the CCEE stampers team.

Yesterday 16th November was " Have a Party with Your Bear Day". So to celebrate, lets's feature bears on your cards this week

This was a perfect challenge to use my Stampendous bears from the woodland friends set. The bear head and body comes as two separate stamps, after fussy cutting them I have angled the heads for some added expression.
The pop up platform for the centre of the card was made with the Lots of pops die designed by Karen Burniston for Elizabeth Craft Designs .   The party hats were made with the Props 2 die set. I have just used the designer paper for the front of the card as the main focal point is in the middle.

Don't forget to check out the CCEE Stampers blog to see the rest of the creations the CCEE Stampers have created this week. You can also see more details of their creations on their individual blogs.

Twisted Panel Baby Card

Today I am sharing with you the card that I made for the FGM challenge, I get together with a couple of friends each month and we challenge ourselves to use certain stamps/ dies.
This month we are following the latest craze the Twisted Panel card, there are various methods on how to made this card, but we are making it with the Twist circle pop up designed by Karen Burniston for Elizabeth Craft Designs

For my background I have used some baby designer paper, on the panel I have used the Baby CharmsAccordion Rectangle, Stamps Baby

On the front of the card I have the banners from the Anita Frames Pop up and the Labels & Circles die along with the stamps. It is so clever the way this folds down you can see how we received our inspiration for this challenge with Karen's tutorial here.

Stitches & Threads

Welcome to another week's challenge with the Crazies on the Crazy 4 Challenges team.

Stitches and thread add some for of sewing to your card. This could include machine stitching, faux stitching, dies that have stitches, sewing related stamps, dies, papers, buttons, threads, string etc.

I have use the Stitched rectangle from Elizabeth Craft Design  an old wood mount house mouse stamp originally from Stampa Rosa, possibly still available at Stampendous in a clear cling, buttons and threads.

Strawberry Medallion

Welcome to another challenge with the CCEE stampers team, here is Frances's challenge.

Tomorrow 11th November is Origami Day, lets include something origami on our cards. It could be a folded shirt, dress, crane, a folded box whatever you like.

For my origami component, I searched though my stamp collection and found this teabag folding stamp that I used to create this medallion. It looks like I am still in the the summer fruit mode from my last challenge.
I used  the stitched squares from  Elizabeth Craft Designs     two large ones for the base and one for the back of the medallion. I then attached base part of the the Hanging Charm pull tab designed by Karen Burniston and the Medallion to the top part, added a ribbon so that you can pull the tab to reveal the stampendous sentiment. I also added the heartfelt creations girl to fill the space on the side.

Because the card will be up for display it has just a base card, which you can write your sentiment on the back. The card then folds flat for postage.

Sweet Strawberries

Hi Everyone,
It's time to join the Crazies of Crazy 4 Challenges blog and this month I am the hostess.
I would like to welcome guest hostess Liz Williams for this months challenges.

My challenge is
Who can resist fresh fruit in season, for me it's strawberries, so add some form of fruit to your card. Think of stamps, dies, papers or colours.

For the front of this card I have used this beautiful Penny Black stamp designed by Mo Manning. It is framed with Elizabeth Craft designs stitched oval.
For the last few months a couple I have been working with the Twist circle pop up  designed by Karen Burniston for Elizabeth Craft Designs.   You can watch Karen's video on how to use this die  here .

Previously I have used this as a landscape design but I wanted to use this designer paper with the layering design. In the portrait layout you can see part of the arm when you open the card after I attached my decorated circle, to hide it I attached an extra strawberry and it just folds under the circle when I close the card.

I have used Joset's strawberries die, shaped and coloured them with distress inks. When the card is fully opened the circle with the strawberries lies flat, I hope that you can get the idea without a video, it is a fun interactive card.

Here is a close up of the pop up strawberries.

Supplies:
Elizabeth Craft Designs Stitched oval
DCWV designer paper, copic pens

Naughty or Nice

Hi everyone,

It's challenge time on CCEE Stampers blog and this months hostess Frances has some fun challenges for us.

The 2nd of November was Wobbly Wednesday, this day is to bring awareness to a condition called Nystagmus, a non-stop and uncontrolled movement of the eyes, symptomatic of problems with the visual system of the brain and body.

For my card I have use the Rectangle pull card die, designed by Karen Burniston for Elizabeth Craft Designs. This is a fun way to use the front and back stamps for an interactive card.

Here is a close up of the wobble action.

Supplies:
Elizabeth Craft Designs  Embossing folder - Petal Power
