Hi Crafting Friends

It is time to join the design team on the CCEE Stampers blog for this week’s challenge.

This week, create a masculine birthday card to celebrate her son turning 18 Kelly asks that we use 1 (one) or 8 (eight) of anything on our cards!

I have made an aged male card, suitable for any occasion. On the front I have stamped an Art Impressions image - Grillfather and used dies to create the panel.

Some interactive fun inside with dies from Karen Burniston
1181 - Little Labels Pop-up
1110 - Happy Hour Charms
1135 - Fast Food Charms

Brother celebrate 60

We recently celebrated my Brother in Law's 60th birthday. He is a bit of a car enthusiast so I made this masculine slimline card for him.
I chose masculine papers from Kaisercraft and added some stamped gear images. I then added the die cut sentiment and number.

Lime Navy and Turquoise

Today on the Crazy for challenges blog our challenge is to use the colours Lime Navy and Turquoise on our card.

I found this designer paper in my stash, perfect for today's challenge and a great time to try out the new Karen Burniston dies.

I have used the Happy Fathers Day die and the Tool charms on the front.

On the inside I used the Flower Pivot Panels die with some more tool charms.

My Handy Hero

Hello Crafting Friends,

It is time to join my friends on the CCEE Stampers blog for this weeks challenge.

Father’s Day Father’s Day in the USA falls on June 11th this year. Make a Father’s Day card. If, like me, your Father has gone to his heavenly reward, make a masculine card of any type for any man in your life!

It is not Father's day until September in Australia, so I created this card for the special Tradie in my life.

Okay I have had this stamp set and designer paper for quite sometime. it is amazing what you find hidden in your supplies when you have the time to look.
I also pulled out this hexagon nested die set from spellbinders that I have had for many years, and created a z fold card.

Don't forget to check out the CCEE Stampers blog to see the rest of the creations the CCEE Stampers have created this week. You can also see more details of their creations on their individual blogs.

Adventures and Possibilities

It is challenge time with the CCEE Stampers challenge blog design team, this month our Hostess Anne.

White embossing is beautiful on neutral colors.  My challenge is to use white embossing on a card, using Kraft, or any other shade of brown.

I had this designer paper in my supplies and thought it would be a great background paper for a male card. I used white heat embossing powder for the sailboat and added a pop up on the inside for something fun.

Supplies:
Beccy's Place - sailboat
Karen Burniston - 1011- Katherine Label pop-up
circle dies, stitched rectangles, fishtail banner dies, snow white embossing powder,

Kick & Bend it

I was recently asked to create a soccer themed card for a 10year old. I wanted to use this old clear stamp image and I found some fun paper in my supplies. I added some die cut pieces from the paper stack on the inside.

I have been wanting to do this layout for awhile. My friend Karen Aicken came up with the way to use Karen Burniston pivot panels, she has show that it works great with the train pivot panel, you can find a link to Karen's card here. But for my card I have used the gift pivot panel and it works just as great.

Today's Challenge....
Brrrr, it's cold outside in most of the Northern Hemisphere or it's quite warm in the Southern Hemisphere.  Do a winter-themed card if you live in the north and a summer themed card if you live in the south!

For my Dad

Welcome to this weeks Challenge with the Crazy 4 Challenges team.

This week our challenge is to make cards with a male theme. With Fathers Day next week in Australia I thought I would make a card for my girls to give to their Dad. He likes nothing better than spending time on the golf course.

I have used the Lawn Fawn Stitched hillside pop-up die and the  'For the boys' stamps that were free in the Cardmaking in easy steps issue 26 Magazine.

Don't forget to check out the rest of the “Crazies” cards over on the Crazy 4 Challenges blog and also their individual blogs for more details.

Sports fan

Today I am sharing the card that I made for my daughter's partner. He is a huge Liverpool fan and was missing the games since he relocated to be with her, so she asked if I would make him a football/soccer card. I had this Daisy & Dandelion set for awhile, it has several small images that I wanted to use. I decided to make it a fun interactive card with the twist panel pop-up dies from Karen Burniston.

Here is a closer look at the pop -up panel in the center of the card.

Tonight they are at a pub/bar watching the first game of the season, hope they are having a good night.

Summer bugs

Welcome to this Saturday's challenge with the Crazy 4 Challenges team.

I love summer! With summer time the bugs come too....the annoying ones, like the mosquitos, but also beautiful ones like dragonflies and butterflies. For this challenge put a bug on your card/project.

I imagine any where in the world summer means bugs. Lots of bugs of different varieties  and lots of time trying to catch them or swat them away.

CCEE1617 baseball

It is challenge time with my friends on CCEE Stampsers blog. And Anne has the last challenge for this month.

" I'm reminding you all that it's baseball season again (YAY!).  Promote your favorite team, their colors, or just use a baseball theme."

Now I don't follow baseball so I don't have a clue about team colours, but I did have this cute cute bunny playing baseball and stuck with the blue and red colour theme.
For by card I decided to make a four page accordion booklet, using Karen Burniston designed dies for Elizabeth Craft Designs.

I combined several stamp companies to decorate this card, some of them are wood mounted and from discontinued companies.

Supplies:
Elizabeth Craft designs accordion circle die
Stamps: Daisy and Dandelion, Hanna Stamps,Stamping Bella, Stampabilities
copic pens, foam tape, distress inks.

CCEE1445 Moustaches

It is a new month and a new CCEE stampers hostess, I have been on the design team since June and this is my first time hosting. I hope every-one enjoys my challenges.
This week my challenge is to create a card that features a moustache to celebrate Movember - A Global Movement raising funds for Male issues. http://au.movember.com

When I was at our local craft store I found this fantastic wrapping paper that I just had to have.
For my card today I have used the Katie Label Accordion Die, Designed by Karen Burniston for Elizabeth craft designs.
The main photo image of this gentleman is from an Oxford Impressions set, that I have had from the years when the only unmounted stamps were available in red rubber.
The middle panel was die cut and embossed and while the die was still in place I used a fine black marker to define the embossed area. The sentiment is a from My Favorite Things.
On the last panel I layered the Katie Label pieces to write my own message and I think this gentleman really needs a hat, so I used the hat from the props 1 set.

Now pop on over to CCEE Stampers blog to see what all the others have created and don't forget to add your own creation for us to see.

Have a great day
Maryann

CCEE1436 Newspaper

This week on CCEE Stampers our new hostess Lois has asked that we create a card with newspaper as inspiration.
This Sunday it is Father's day in Australia, I made this card for my girls to give to their Father, the newspaper is the only thing he reads and he loves fishing. I even went and borrowed a swivel and line from his supplies for embellishments.
The stamps and the designer paper are both from the Forever Friends Retro Collection"The Good Life"

Happy Father's Day to all the Dads. I hope you have a great day.
Take care
Maryann

Tomorrow is another day

Once a month I get together with a couple of friends for an outing to a craft store. After a trip in January we decided for this year we would choose a purchased item that we all own to create a card before we would meet up again. For the month of February with was to use any of the sizzix grid dies to create a project.
I started with the die cut frame in black and glued in place on Some blue sticker paper that looks like water. The cute little guy was coloured with copic pens and mounted with foam tape. The text is a my Favourite Things stamp and it was cut and mounted to look like a banner.

Time for fishing

Today's card was made using the sizzix pop n' cut die with the original insert.
The designer paper is from DCWV, the text from MFT and the bear image is from docrafts forever friends retro collection.
