Autumn Happiness

Welcome to today's challenge with the Crazy for challenges team.

It’s now fall and I know this because I see it on my calendar even though you wouldn’t know it in Florida. Let’s put leaves, or trees with beautiful fall colors, or anything that says fall to you on our cards this  week.

I found this cute little dragon in my supplies, it is rubber so I have had him for awhile, but I thought he would look good on a reveal wheel card from Lawn Fawn as they had a leaf window too. I chose not to use any sentiments on my card yet as it is not fall for me but spring. I just coloured the inside of the wheel is shades of Autumn/fall leaves, so you card reveal which season you wanted.

You are awesome

Welcome to this week challenge on CCEE Stampers.

Set back stamping - I was inspired by Jennifer McGuire's set back stamping tutorial, using stamps and dies, something different to the normal layering that should be fun trying.

For my card I used the Altenew build a flower Magnolia stamp and die sets along with Altenew ink cubes.

FGM interactive card

My card for today is for the challenge that I do with some friends. Each month we challenge ourselves to use our supplies. This month our challenge is to create an interactive card. This month I chose to use dies from my favourite interactive die designer Karen Burniston. I have followed Karen over the years, when she has designed for other companies, she now has her own and this is the first time I have used the Charm accordion die set.

I decided to make this a four page booklet, to show case the flower images from the Australian company Uniquely creative. The set is called sweet succulents photopolomyer stamp.

I used a black glaze pen to make the hinges look like they have metal fastenings.

The four pages fold flat for posting.

Flamazing 60th Birthday

Welcome to another challenge with the Crazy 4 challenges team.

Make a birthday card and put numbers on it. For example -the recipients age, use background paper with numbers on it, or even a numbered candle die cut if you have one.

Well this challenge was perfect timing for me as I needed a card for my work colleague who was celebrating a big zero birthday. She absolutely loves flamingos, I have been saving the designer paper for such occasion and when Karen Burniston came out with the flamingo charm I knew it was a must have die set. I have also use Karen's Circle charm pop-up dies and since the numbers and word dies are still on my Karen Burniston's wish list, I just used what I had that would fit. MFT- numbers and sentiment and fishtail banner die, Sue Wilson creative espression Happy Bithday die.

Baby Tag Book

Welcome to this weeks challenge with the CCEE Stampers team.

Baby - Create a card using baby as your inspiration, example: new baby, baby shower, grand baby, baby animals or even just a baby sized card.

For my card I have used the picket fence Jungle babies stamp set.

For the inside of my card I used Karen Burniston's Tag Book Pop-up die set. Instead of making a tag book, I added it to the inside of a card. I have seen a few of the design team use this technique for their cards so I thought I would give it a try.

I love the way this has turned out, an unexpected surprise when you open the card.

Here is the side view of the center pop up tag.

Wedding charms

Welcome to the September Sketch challenge with the Crazies team from Crazy 4 Challenge blog.

I was asked to make a floral wedding card, that is great about sketches you can use them to make cards for any theme.
I found this pretty paper in a designer paper pack and used that for my theme, I first used the stencil with embossing ink and white embossing powder for some texture. My bride and groom are die cut charm pieces from when Karen Burniston designed for Elizabeth craft designs, but my circles are from her circle charm pop- up set.

Supplies:
ECD - KB wedding charms (retired) KB Best wishes stamps (retired)
Karen Burniston - circle charm pop-up dies
MFT - Stitched fishtails, ECD - congratulations die
Kaisercraft - stencil, versamark ink, seafoam embossing powder.

Fortune cookie day

Welcome to another challenge with the CCEE Stampers team. When I was deciding the challenges to use as hostess for this month a found out that is was Fortune cookie day. Oriental themed cards were so popular when I started card making, that was a long time ago and I still have papers although I did purchase a new stamp set.

Fortune cookie day - According to the days of the year calendar it is Fortune cookie day, use this to inspire an oriental themed card.

Grandparents day

Welcome to another challenge with the Crazies team.

It's grandparents day tomorrow, so we have been challenged  to make a card to show someone you love or appreciate them for what they do for you.  I know I am forever grateful for my family.

Today's challenge gave me the chance to use this stamp from Art Impressions, that I have had for ages. The sentiments are from the Altenew stunning cosmos set. Inside is the first time I have used the Karen Burniston Upsy daisy pop-up dies, nothing too fancy in the decorating as it was more important to see it I could use the dies. I didn't seem to have the right sentiment for the inside so I just cut a few clear stamps sentiments apart to make the words sending you kisses. The little heart pieces are from Karen Burniston's coffee charm die set.

Swimming by.......

Welcome to this weeks challenge with the CCEE stampers team, this month it is my turn to be hostess.
This card has been around for a lot of years but lately I have noticed some modern twists to it, so give us your version of a shadow box card.

So for my inspiration for this challenge came from a Jennifer McGuire tutorial, which I will link here.
I cut my card to size before assembling I used the  honey bee ocean borders stamp and inked it with versamark ink to give the watermark effect.

The front of my card is fairly simple as all the focus is when you open the card. The front has also been inked to look like water mark, and the oval piece is the piece that I cut out of the inside piece of the card, I just added the black mat and a few more images.

As you open the card, up pops the shadow box.

So the images I have used are from the Australian company Paper Rose, the stamps also have coordinating dies. This type of card can also be used as a base for an inside tunnel card linked here.

Here is a closer look at the inside images.

Bird on a wire fence

Welcome to this week challenge with the Crazies team from Crazy 4 challenges. Our hostess this month is Raquel Mason and her guest designer is Fran Sabad.

Today we are making cards using any technique!  The technique can be something you've never tried before, something you've tried many times, or even a technique that you're inspired to try.

For my card today I have made a background using the Distress Oxide technique. I sponged the colours wild honey, abandoned coral, broken china, peacock feathers, I then spritz it with water to create a lovely soft background. I then used the bird on wire fence die from Paper Rose to create a perfect Australian scene.
