Hello Sunshine

Welcome to this week challenge with Hostess Frances on the Crazy 4 Challenges blog....

I love the look of inlaid die cutting using alphabet or word dies over a design on a card which is becoming popularly known as the Eclipse Technique

You will find lots of inspiration on Pinterest using this technique here.

What a fun technique this is, I had a leftover stencil background from another challenge, that I wasn't really sure how to use. I only have a small set of letter dies and they look rather odd on the card so I filled in the card with some flower and leaves dies from Elizabeth Craft designs.

Tropical Sunrise

This is Joanne's last challenge for this month on the CCEE Stampers blog.

This week’s ‘theme’ is RELAXATION.  Create a card that depicts RELAXATION to you.  Can be a place where you are relaxed or what you do to relax.

When it come to relaxing and just getting away from the everyday routine, we like to spend time by the ocean. Many times we have walked hand in hand watching the sunrise. One day we hope to travel to the the west coast to watch a sunset over the ocean.

For my card I have created a scene with the Gina K Framed tropical skies stamp set. I have used several distress inks for the watercoloured background.

Ombre background

Welcome to another challenge with the crazies team on the Crazy 4 Challenges blog.

Frances is our hostess and our challenge this week is .....

Ombre
Definition - a french word meaning "shaded". Ombre is the gradual blending of one color hue to another, usually moving tints and shades from light to dark.

The ombre technique has become very popular in stamping over the past few years. Use this technique in some way when creating your card this week.

Here are a few links to YouTube videos for inspiration:
Ombre Stamping- Jennifer McGuire
Easy Ombre Backgrounds– Jennifer McGuire
Ombre Background Stamping– Yana Smakula
Misti 101: Ombr̩ StampingРJustine Hovey

I first stamped and white heat embossed the hero arts cosmos background. I then sponged the distress colours, spun sugar, ripe persimmon, abandoned coral and candied apple. I die cut the panel and matted it into a card and added the die cut Happy Birthday and some gems stones.

Ocean Deep Thanks

Welcome to this weeks CCEE Stampers Blog challenge.
Joanne's theme is........

As many of you know, the ocean is my favorite place….and my annual trip to Maine is sacred.  So, in honor of that, please create a card inspired by the ocean or beaches.

To create my card I started with the Honey Bee ocean scene builder stencil. I then added the stamped and fussy cut images from the Lawn Fawn you are sublime set and the Bayou backdrop die for the underwater foliage.

C4C439 June Sketch

Welcome to this weeks sketch challenge with the Crazies team on Crazy 4 challenges blog.

I have used this sketch as a chance to play with the Coffee charms set from Karen Burniston and on the inside I have used her coffee cup pop-up die. The die has a spot to attach a gift card if you wish to as I have done here.

Blooming flowers

Welcome to this weeks CCEE Stampers Challenge, Joanne is our hostess and says.......

Around here spring came late, so we are still enjoying the blooming of flowers.  Please create a card with multiple flowers.

Okay, so I am glad that we don't have any challenge police here as I am not sure if I have met the brief.
I keep short hand notes for my challenges in the craft room and all it says is blooming flowers, it wasn't until I was putting up this post that I read that it was suppose to be multiple flowers. Anyway I so wanted to try out this Altenew Layered Blossom cover die, it comes in two parts an A & B so I really do have two blooms on my card. LOL Well that is my story.

Just go fishing

Welcome to another Crazy 4 Challenge challenge.

This week our challenge is ..... Masculine Cards – Father’s Day is coming up in the Northern Hemisphere, so this week let’s make male cards. It does not have to be a Father’s Day card.

To day I have made a step card using the Cheery Lynn step die and instead of a stamped image on the front I used at die cut from Tutti designs called fishing buddies. All my stamped images are from Sparkle n Sprinkle Just go fishing set.

Bring me Sunshine

This month on CCEE Stampers Blog, Joanne is our hostess of the challenges.

I don’t think  I am the only one with unused, or ‘virgin’, stamps.  This week I want you to go through your stash and ink those virgins to create this week’s card.

I have used the concord & 9th , Hello Lovely stamps set to create this background and coloured it in with Copic pens. I also used the tonic studio everyday sentiments die and cut it 4 times and layered them for dimension. I also used the stamp on the inside of the card.

Fairy sweet go barefoot day

Welcome to a brand new month of challenge with the Crazies team on Crazy 4 Challenges.
This month our hostess is Frances Byrne.

Apparently yesterday was "Go Barefoot Day" include something on your card that is barefoot.

When I first saw this challenge I didn't think I was going to be able to play along thinking that I didn't have any barefoot images, when a friend had the suggestion that I think outside the box as she was sure that I would have an image that I could use.

Well I found a set of Fairies, they go barefoot most of the time.

On the inside I added this fairy admiring a lady beetle. And made a pop up card with the the spinner square pop-up from Karen Burniston. The card folds flat and when you open it 3 lady beetles fly away from behind the fairy by way of the spinner panel.

Don't forget to check out the rest of the “Crazies” cards over on the Crazy 4 Challenges blog and also their individual blogs for more details.
