It is a good day

Welcome
My card today was made for the Crazy4Challenges theme.

Back to metallics for the end of the month. Use foiling on your project. If you don't do you own foil, look for foiled patterned  or mirror papers pr embellishments like chipboard or stickers in your stash.

I am working a building my supplies of wedding themed cards. I went looking for some foil designer paper and found a page of sentiments that would fit well with the rocking rectangle die from Karen Burniston. I then created the front of the card using dies.

This card has a lot of foil as every page has foil as well as embellishments. Here is a closer look at the foiled sentiment panels.

Under the night sky

My card today is for the challenge on the CCEE stampers blog.

Tomorrow is Arbor Day! Therefore, I am asking you to let a tree or trees be the star of your CCEE design this week!

I created a night sky with distress oxide inks - squeezed lemonade, chipped sapphire, wilted violet, peacock feathers. I then die cut the main image 3 times in black card and glued them together and add them to the night sky and glued it to designer paper background.

FGM Challenge Wiper card

Today I am sharing the card that I made for the monthly challenge that I do with some friends, our challenge is to make a wiper card.

This is the first time I have made one, there are a lot of tutorials out there and I watched a few as I understood the concept but sometimes a visual explanation is better.

Basically you have what looks like a normal card but instead of opening it up you pull on the sides and out pops a panel with a sentiment or picture.

It is so much fun to play with I will certainly be making some more of them.

Thanks for looking today...……..

There's Hope

My card today is made for the CCEEstampers weekly challenge.

In the United States, April is the National Month of Hope. This week Lynn challenges us to create a card with a sentiment of encouragement to send to a friend who is in need of a spark of love and hope in their lives. Sometimes the smallest gesture can light that spark.

The other day I caught up with a friend who I hadn't seen for a long time, she has been going through some rough times, I thought of her when I made this card, she loves a nice cup of tea.

I have used retired Karen Burniston dies to create my card, I love this die set I am sorry that it has been retired.
The stamps are a sentiment set from Penny Black, called cup of tea.

Simply a Gift box

Today it is challenge day with the crazy team on crazy4challenges.

Let’s make an ABC! That’s Anything But a Card! Maybe a scrapbook or art journal page, a tag or ATC, gift packaging, a mixed canvas, postcard or maybe even a flip book!

No doubt you will be seeing lots of wedding items on my blog. Both my daughter's became engaged last month, while the weddings are still in the planning stages I am just working on some ideas that they may like to use.

I had this spellbinders - amazing paper grace wedding collection - favorable simple gift box die for some time and thought it was time I used it. I pulled some of my old MFT dies for decoration.

Books to Read

Welcome to todays challenge with the CCEE Stampers team, hostess Lynn had set our challenge.

Tomorrow is National Drop Everything and Read Day. I know that reading if a vital part of each of your lives both for business and pleasure. This week I would love for you to create a design which features a favorite book, favorite book character(s), or a reading theme stressing the importance or value of reading.

This challenge is close to my heart, I always had a book on the go, I have my own library of my favourite author, I have so many books that it can be several years before I go back and re-read one.

I created a twist panel pop up card to show case the cute little images. I used designer paper for the look of wall paper and used a stencil and salty ocean distress oxide ink for the look of carpet. Each little image was fussy cut out and glued onto panel pieces.

I kept the front of the card simple with a fun lead into the card with images used in the inside.

Supplies:
Mama Elephant stamps - bookworm.
Catherine Pooler  stamps - Book and Film
Dies - Karen Burniston - 1057- crosshatch circles, 1009 twist panel pop up, MFT lace border.

Gilded Roses

Today I am sharing my card for the Crazy4challenge theme set by hostess Rebecca.

Metallics are super trendy right now! Use at least 3 metallic or metallic-coloured embellishments on your card or project.

I started with a black card and embossed it with cottage roses embossing folder, I then added the old gold, summer blue and patina gilding wax to highlight the raised areas. I die cut the Happy in foil card stock and gold heat embossed the birthday sentiment. I also add some liquid glitter dots.
