Lets snuggle up

Today I am sharing the card I made for the CCEE Stampers blog challenge CCEE2104.

Warm and Cozy Many of us are experiencing very cold days during late January. Feature on your design something that makes you feel warm and cozy even on the coldest of winter days.

Whether it is hot or cold I love snuggling in with a good book. I created this slimline card with designer paper as the background. I stamped and coloured the My Favorite Things images and cut them out with the Brother scan n cut.

On the inside I created a pop up scene.

I have used the Karen Burniston mini pops pop up die, to pop up the chair when you open the card.

Don't forget to check out the CCEE Stampers blog to see the rest of the creations the CCEE Stampers have created this week. You can also see more details of their creations on their individual blogs.

Shutter gatefold

                                                         Welcome Crafting Friends.
My card today is my take on a gatefold card which is the Challenge of the Crazy4Challenges design team.
This isn't my original idea, but it is something that I have been meaning to make for some time.

My stamped images are from the Picture perfect stamp set from My Favorite Things. The image is put onto a belly band that you take off to open the card.

I have used the shutter card components from My favorite things to create the inside of the card.

Poppy make a wish

Today I had a chance to play with some new release items from My Favorite Things. I also use the Wednesday sketch challenge MFTWSC116 for my layout.
For this card I haven't used any designer paper instead I went back to my early card making days were we used stamps to create backgrounds. I have also tried letterpress embossing, where you ink a embossing folder before placing your card stock in and emboss, the colour of the base card pops out of the coloured ink. The poppies were backed with foam tape to give a 3D effect. Glitter was added to the center of the flowers and faux piercing add to the border.

Supplies:
Stamps: MFT LJD Pretty poppies, triple scoop set
Other: MFT Die-namics poppies & leaves, Dizzy doily duo, Glitter fabric paint, Brilliance pearlescent ink -poppy,beige, lime,Craft concepts Embossing folder - Venus, Riding hood red ribbon and card, black and white card.

Happy Birthday

Summer is well and truly summer here in Queensland and many of our flowers are in bloom.
For this card I used the MFT hibiscus and fancy flourish die-namic to create the flower. The stamp is the free on that I received last month. The papers are from DCWV citrus stack and is one of my favourites, although I have used the red card the photo shows up a bit pink.

I even splashed out and created something for the inside of the card using MFT layered label die-namic.

I started out using a MFT sketch but altered it to fit the stamp used.
Inspiration : MFTWSC101

Supplies:
Stamps: Papermania strictly party stamp, MFT Big Greetings
Paper: DCWV citrus paper stack, cream card stock
Other: Oval & oval scallop nestabilities, hot glue, copic pens, MFT die-namics, forever in time glitter gems

Supplies:
Stamps: MFT A'la mode
Paper: Cream and Purple card, DP - around the block
Other: Marianne dies, MFT die, copic pens, ribbon, brad.

Sporty pink car

I made this card for a 16yr old 's birthday, who just got her learners licence. This rubber romance stamp was just calling to me and when I saw the MFT sketch, I just wanted to flip the top layer open rather just making a layered card front. I then embossed the base panel and highlighted the raised area with ink. I think it just looks like she has been driving around in circles, I can remember doing just that when my girls learnt to drive.
Supplies:
Stamps: Rubber romance, MFT Sassy Saying
Paper: DCWV glitter stack, pink black and white card
Other: couture creations entangle embossing folder, copic pens, brilliance pearlescent orchid ink
Inspiration for this card My favorite things sketch MFTWSC63 and

Domo Arigato

Hello there it has been awhile but I think I am back in the swing of things.
I made this card for My Favorite things Wednesday sketch challenge MFTWSC60 . This was awhile ago but I had no idea what the phrase meant, so I did a Wikipedia search a found it means "Thank you very much" which is good because I had it lined up as a Birthday card so I will just put it into the Thank you collection.
I used MFT PI- Good Fortune set and stamped the image and cut it out with circle nestabilities and nellies die, then coloured and paper pieced the dress with some oriental paper, the floral background was made with rice paper. I used MFT mini Tabs quartet and Martha Stewart border punch and then added a few gems.
Have a great Day

Diamonds are forever

This is the other card I made again I use My Favorite things sketch for inspiration MFTWSC57. I coloured the image with copic pens and paper pieced the dress with  designer paper and the used more copic pens for shading. Although you can't tell with this photo the designer paper I have used on the background has felt embossed flowers on the cream card, it looks really elegant. This edge is a Martha Stewart border punch and the flower is once again the MFT Prima Donna Petals Die-namics die the edges were sponged with Antique Linen distress ink.
I even did the inside of the card as many people seem to be doing these days. I does seem to give something extra to the card.
Supplies;
Stamps: MFT - a'la mode "It must be Love"
Paper: DCWV La creme stack, black and cream card
Other: ms punch, copic pens, sizzix swirls die, nestabilities dies, kindy glitz, gem stones, MFT Die-namics, distress ink.

Perfect Engagement

This week I had to get some inspiration I had 2 engagement cards to make. Of course I knew exactly which stamp I wanted to use so I looked through past Wednesday sketch challenges and chose MFTWSC55 and made it into a easel card, I just love the way it stands to display your work.
The image was coloured with copics and the dress paper pieced with the same designer paper as the background. This is the first time I have used the MFT Flower die that I got for Christmas and I just love it, be prepared to see more often on my cards. The create to oval for the text I just traced the inside of the nestabilities die and cut it out by hand and then rubbed out the pencil marks for the perfect fit.

Stamps: My Favorite Things -  A'la 'Mode It must be Love', sentiment  Gina K- punchy words
Paper: DCWV - designer paper, white and black card stock

Super Cupcake

Happy Birthday Sky. My Nephew's girlfriend is having a fancy dress 18th birthday party. I am looking forward to seeing the photos of all the costumes. Now I wanted to make a card in the same theme and thought is was about time I christened this La-La land Marci stamp. To start I coloured the image with copics but I must have used the wrong card and they did bleed a bit but that was ok as I had planned to cut the image out anyway. I used My favorite things sketch mftwsc36 for my layout inspiration and the colours were inspired by the Marci stamp packaging but since Sky is blond I changed the hair colour. I hope that she does like the pink and purple colours.
I found this sheer ribbon that match very well and I went with the button embellishment, actually it is two button I had a small silver button that fitted perfectly inside the larger purple button. The colours didn't photograph very well but they are purple and silver.

For something different I did the inside of this card using the Martha Stewart border punch some scrap card and a stampin up stamp and punch.
Supplies:

Stamps: La-La Land, stampin up

Paper: white, black, rich razzelberry, DP DCWV glitter stack

Other: copics, ribbon, buttons, thread, MS border punch , SU scallop punch, foam dots

Without Wings

Today I have another card for the Boomerang Stampers COTM theme things with wings. The technique I have used on this card was something that I did at the craft show last month.

The Fleur de lis die and Designer paper was also sponged. The sketch I have used is MFTWSC22 and I have also added string for C4C92 twine/string challenge and finished it off with a gold button.Oh the last final touches a spritz with smooch ink and some gem stones around the die.
Supplies:

Paper: cream, chocolate & black card, Dp scraps
Other: smooch spritz, distress ink black soot, tea dye, vintage photo, Fleur de Lis nestabilities motifs & Accents, gems, button, sponging block.

I coloured the "a'la mode" image with copics and cut it out with nestabilities. The designer paper was matted with black on white and then black on white base card, with a little bling on the corners. After assembling the card I used kindy glitz to add bling to the diamond.
