Best Witches

This is my card for the Crazy4Challenges blog design team challenge.

For this week, make a card or other project using pumpkins or gourds in any colours EXCEPT yellow or orange.

I found this pretty designer paper book in the local craft store. It had a page of  pumpkins is all colours, a tick for this challenge. I have used Karen Burniston dies for the tree and the hills. The stamp is an old one from La La Land stamps.

Don't forget to check out the rest of the “Crazies” cards over on the Crazy 4 Challenges blog and also their individual blogs for more details.

Always Emergency Ready

Welcome to today's challenge card with the CCEE Stampers design team.
While it is Law Enforcement Appreciation Day in America and I am in Australia I decided to stretch the challenge.
Over the last few months we have had some devastating fires in Australia and a huge thank you goes out to include all emergency services and volunteers who have helped out those affected.

Law Enforcement Appreciation Day In the United States, January 9 is a day set aside to celebrate police officers by thanking them for their public service and showing them support. Let’s help out by creating a card to thank these dedicated servants. To spread the word, post your cards on all of your social media accounts.

Don't forget to check out the CCEE Stampers blog to see the rest of the creations the CCEE Stampers have created this week. You can also see more details of their creations on their individual blogs.

Ahoy

Hello everyone, Welcome to this weeks challenge with my friends on the CCEE stampers blog.

Well I have been missing for sometime, travelling to the United Kingdom and Europe. After having such a fabulous time, it has been rather difficult coming back and getting back into the routine of daily life.

I would like to take the time to say Hi and Welcome Kelly, who joined CCEE Stampers while I was away. Kelly has issued the challenge for this week.

Create a card  to celebrate talk like a Pirate Day that was earlier in the week.using anything pirate related and extra 'treasure/booty' for using a map
anywhere on the card!

For my card I created a twisted easel card using designer papers and La La Land Luka Stamp and some sentiments and dies from Elizabeth Craft Designs.

Don't forget to check out the CCEE Stampers blog to see the rest of the creations the CCEE Stampers have created this week. You can also see more details of their creations on their individual blogs.

It's Yarr Birthday

Today I am sharing another requested birthday card. For this themed card I had to call a friend as I have a limited supply of  pirate themed stamps., luckily my friend has a few more. I also had a chance to play with her Misti, I always wondered how her images were dark and define and wondered if she had special ink. Now I know her secret, the Misti allows you to re-ink and stamp the image several times always in the place, to add several layers of ink.
Here is a u-tube video on how to use a misti, it was so much fun so it is now on the top of my Christmas wish list.
Okay so now on to the card, on the front I have the parrot and sentiment die cut with spellbinders dies, sponged in the shadow while the dies was in place then I matted it in black.

Because I made a pop up card I had to cover up the holes left from die cut pop pieces, with red card I then used the Agatha edges for some shape.
I used the lots of pops die designed by Karen Burniston for Elizabeth craft design for the inside and added 5 separate stamped images to create a scene. And added the flourish from the Agatha edges set.

The lots of pops die is able to cut 5 different levels of pops, because I had a large image I wanted to pop I kept the large panel to pop and folded in the others into the background.

Another shot at a different angle.

Supplies
Elizabeth craft designs - Lots of pops, Agatha edges
spellbinders -  circles, speech bubble
Stamps - La la land Luka, Paper Pretties - parrot and various other stamps.
Copic pens, foam tape and glue.

Thanks Frances for the images, I hope you like how it turned out.
Cheers

CCEE1517 - Hug an Australian Day

It is Challenge time with my friends on CCEE Stampers and this is the Challenge hostess Frances gave us.
Apparently the 26th April is Hug an Australian Day who knew and I am Australian LOL.  If you don't know any Aussies close by you can hug me, we might need to rely on virtual hugs haha! {{{{hugs}}}}. For our challenge this week use a cute critter that you think would be huggable … Bonus points if you use an animal native to Australia.

Now being Australian my self of course I have a few Aussie animal stamps, but I really like these two from La la Land Crafts.
I created a pop up card using the Lorna Label die and I made a Eucalyptus Gum tree with the all seasons die and the curvy leaves die was trimmed to look more like the Eucalyptus leaf.

Here is a close up of Kangaroo Marci and Koala Luka. Because Marci was attached to the front pop up part and she was rather tall I added a piece of card folded into a square behind her as a hinge for more stability, it moves with Marci as you close the card.

On the front I placed another Gum tree and some mountains for a outback scenery feeling.

Supplies
Stamps-    La la Land Crafts
Dies: Elizabeth Craft Designs, Lorna Label, All seasons tree, curvy leaves, Katie Label, Beach edges

I hope you like my card.
If you would like to play don't forget to go over to CCEE Stampers blog and see what the other have made and add your card.

CCEE1442 Ghosts, Ghouls and Monsters

This week on CCEE Stampers Liz and Lynn have challenged us to pick out your favorite ghoul, ghost, monster, or witch that might scare up some fun for Halloween. Living in Australia we don't really celebrate Halloween although in the last 10 years it has become more popular especially through the retail stores.
Every body loves a chance to dress up and have a party in fact my Niece is having a themed party for her daughters birthday, so this is my inspiration for this challenge. I have made some gift bags for some lovely Lindt Halloween chocolates.

My bags are made using the WE R memory keepers gift bag punch board , the stamped images are La-La Land crafts flying witch Marci and Vampire Luka  and the are mounted on spellbinder nestabiities die cut panels.
I have also combined this challenge with the challenges on Crazy 4 Challenges C4C257 Halloween Treats and C4C256 Orange, Purple and Green.
Hope you like my Halloween project, pop on over to CCEE Stampers blog to see what the other design team members have created.

Take care

Winter stand up

Each month I get together with a couple of friends and we attend our favourite scrapbooking /craft shop.
This year we decided to challenge ourselves to use the products we buy. It has been several months since we have gotten together as a few of us have been away travelling, so our challenge was to make 3 cards one using a sizzix stand up die, a sizzix flip is die and an embossing folder that we all liked.

CCEE1434 Back to School

For our challenge on CCEE Stampers this week Amber says it is time to the kids to go back to school. So make a card to give to the teacher.
When I saw this designer paper I thought of an apple for the teacher. The label on the front is two of the dies from the Lorna Label set from Elizabeth Craft Designs.
For the inside I have used the Lorna Label pop up die designed by Karen Burniston. And La la land crafts backpack Marci.
Here is a close up of Marci, she has been popped up with foam dots and I have added another layer to the apple for extra dimension.
The die cut letters and the sentiment inside are from the Stamps of life.

Have a great Day

CCEE1432 Baked goods

It is the beginning of a new month and a new hostess on CCEE Stampers. Amber has challenged us to create a card with a County Fair theme. It wasn't until I was posting this card that I read the finer details for this challenge that was that you got extra points if you used green on your card. Green is the colour (color) for the 4-H youth organization  administered by the National Institute of Food and Agriculture of the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA)......Oops.... but I do have a green background so I hope that counts.
Now we don't use the term county fair but I am guessing that it is the same as our Royal Queensland Show . If you are a local you would call it the Brisbane Ekka, which just happens to start this week. There is a wide range of competitions wood-chopping, animals, produce, crafts and many more. A favourite of mine is the cake decoration entrants.
For the front I have used La La Land Crafts Chef Marci  on Designer paper DCWV sweet stack
On the inside I have used Elizabeth Craft Designs Lorna Label pop up designed by Karen Burniston and the stand up helper Happy Birthday as an embellishment.
Take care

La la Land make and take

Today I had a wonderful time at the Brisbane Scrapbook & Papercraft convention. I managed to see Tim Holtz although it was 4 deep to see him at work. I stopped stand 31 to see
Irina Blount from La La Land Crafts, conducting make and takes. With some perfect timing and a vacant chair, I was invited to make and take a 3D box card. This was the best make and take I have ever made, although I was a bit nervous using copic pens in front of an audience, as I know I don't use them the way that are meant to be used, and I take quite some time to get the colouring the way that I like it.
I couldn't resist adding a few more Marci and Luka stamps to my collection.
and a some flourishes stamps, penny black stamp, Marianne dies, and copic refills and a few other things.

Super Cupcake

Happy Birthday Sky. My Nephew's girlfriend is having a fancy dress 18th birthday party. I am looking forward to seeing the photos of all the costumes. Now I wanted to make a card in the same theme and thought is was about time I christened this La-La land Marci stamp. To start I coloured the image with copics but I must have used the wrong card and they did bleed a bit but that was ok as I had planned to cut the image out anyway. I used My favorite things sketch mftwsc36 for my layout inspiration and the colours were inspired by the Marci stamp packaging but since Sky is blond I changed the hair colour. I hope that she does like the pink and purple colours.
I found this sheer ribbon that match very well and I went with the button embellishment, actually it is two button I had a small silver button that fitted perfectly inside the larger purple button. The colours didn't photograph very well but they are purple and silver.

For something different I did the inside of this card using the Martha Stewart border punch some scrap card and a stampin up stamp and punch.
Supplies:

Stamps: La-La Land, stampin up

Paper: white, black, rich razzelberry, DP DCWV glitter stack

Other: copics, ribbon, buttons, thread, MS border punch , SU scallop punch, foam dots

Hugs
