Sunshine and Rainbows

Hi Crafting friends,
My card today is made for a challenge that I do with a couple of friends each month to make us use our craft supplies. This month our challenge is new.

My new items are the Altenew stencil and the Spellbinders die - Joyous Celebrations
I created the background using Distress oxides with the stencil. Die cute the Joyous Celebrations die 4 times and glued them together for some dimension. I then added the Karen Burniston Celebrate die to the top corner.

G'Day Australia

The challenge for today with the Crazy 4 challenges team is...….

Celebrate! January always feels so long, but it’s coming to a close. Make a card to Celebrate! You can make a birthday card, a card to celebrate an upcoming holiday, a card for
someone who has a new job, going on a vacation etc. Let’s Celebrate

Today is a day to celebrate living in this multi- cultural country Australia. It what ever way you came to live in this country, it is worth the celebrations.

I finally had the chance to play with the technique, the twist circle forest that Karen Burniston showed us with a tutorial, in November last year.
The twist circle die currently come with the snowman twist circle die set, although if you had the previously released twist circle set you could use that. I was so disappointed that I had lost the main part of that set when I went to use it, Karen kindly sent me a replacement piece. Thanks so much Karen, this card would not have been possible without your generosity.

I used Ultimate crafts dies to create an Australian bush themed pop up card. As you open and close the card, the twist circle folds the Kangaroo and bush grass up and down.

Supplies:
Karen Burniston - Twist circle pop-up die
Ultimate Crafts - G'Day mate stamps, dies - Kangaroo, ironbark branch, gum leaves, Australia map, G,Day, grass tree, tall grass tree, eucalyptus blossom.
Distress inks and copic pens

Enjoy every moment

Welcome to today's challenge with the CCEE Stampers team.

I found that gold was discovered in California on Jan. 24, 1848, so let's see some gold used on your creations this week. Glittery gold paper, gold chrome cardstock, or gold embossing and any other possibilities you can think to create, we would love seeing on your creations.

I created the back ground on this card using alcohol inks - watermelon,Valencia, Salmon, Gold. I then cut out the background with the My Favorite things Striped Sentiment Strip die.  The sentiment words are from Honey Bee. The word enjoy is white card layered onto gold foil card, although it looks black in the photo.

Supplies:
My Favorite Things - Striped Sentiment strip die.
Ranger- Tim Holtz alcohol inks
Honey Bee - enjoy stamps and enjoy honey cuts

Cheers

Welcome to today's challenge card with the Crazy for challenges team.
Today is a sketch challenge.

For my card I have used the embossing folder, stamp and die set that came free with the Papercraft essentials magazine issue 161. The word cheers is a die from My Favorite Things.
After embossing cream card stock I used distress inks to highlight the raised areas.

Coffee with friends

Welcome to today's challenge card I made for the CCEE Stampers blog.
Our challenge was to share our favourite hot beverage.

As you can see mine is coffee, some day you just need caffeine to function, when I walk the dog I am very tempted to stop at the cafe for a coffee, that is why I just had to put this little dog on the to go cup.

It is also great to catch up with you best friend over a coffee, I just had to incorporate the My Favorite things, friends at first sip stamp set to go with the Karen Burniston Coffee Cup Pop-up die set for the inside.

Just a view from the top and side. There are 10 dis in the Coffee cup pop-up die set and 10 in the coffee charms set follow the links for video assembly instructions.

Here is a close up of the charms that I have used, I glued them to the card but threaded twine through the loops for a rustic look.

Supplies
Karen Burniston Coffee pop-up and coffee charms sets
My Favorite things friends at first sip stamp set
Copic pens, designer paper

Framed pop -up

Welcome to today's card made for the challenge on Crazy 4 Challenges blog.

Everybody needs a smile now and then - this week lets make a humorous card!

I found this cute little clear stamp set in my supplies, I have had it for ages not sure if it is still available.
But to create my two part humorous card, I used the Karen Burniston Frame pull pop up die.

I suppose the front could be classed as humorous, as I can imagine the statement has been made before but it is when you pull the tab that the second part of the sentiment gives you a laugh, it has probably been said many times before also.

For instructions on how to use the die and make the pull card, I have linked Karen's tutorials here.

Supplies
Karen Burniston Frame pull pop-up die
Stitched fishtails die, inkadinkado clear stamp.

Party Like a Rock Star

Welcome to today's card made for CCEE Stampers team challenge.

Happy Birthday, Elvis!! (8th January) Liz is challenging us to make him come alive in some way on our cards this week.( Maybe a rock and roll theme, records, an Elvis or guitar stamp, or perhaps even “Blue Suede shoes.”) Anyway you can think to let the world know “the King” of rock and roll.

I had a super fun time creating this card. I wanted to use the Juke box die but as an interactive element, so I used the center die out of the Karen Burniston Explosion die set.
The Jukebox is a Tonic Studios die which I die cut as a sticker then glued it onto silver card stock then fussy cut the whole thing out, it took a little time but I think it was worth it. The music notes and the records are from the Sizzix Jukebox & Music set.
I was so happy with the way that the Jukebox turned out that I did the same with the Electric Guitar but inlaid some of the pieces with orange card.

Supplies
Tonic Studios dies - Jukebox Jive Electric guitar, piano melody
Sizzix dies- Jukebox, records, music
Karen Burniston Explosion dies set.
Your next stamp - Silly Monster Rock stars
Elizabeth Craft desgins - stitched rectangle die

Sending warm and feathered hugs

Welcome to today's challenge card.
This is our first challenge with the Crazy's team on Crazy for challenges. There are a few changes this year as last year we said farewell to our friends Raquel and Anja. This year I would like to welcome Karen and Tracey and say welcome back to Amy to the 2019 design team.
This month our hostess is Karen Aicken and her guest designer is Kelly Booth.

What is your favourite card type to make? Pop-up? Shaker? Birthday? One Layer? Make one!

I have been making cards for many years and there are so many favourite styles out there, but I really like the surprise of an interactive card.
When I picked up this cute little bird stamp set at the end of last year, I though it would be a perfect match for the pivot house die.

The front of my card is just a lead in to the surprise in the  middle. The sentiments are from the same set as the birds and I just added some glittered elements for a wintry feel.

Supplies:
MFT stamps: warm & feathered hugs, fishtail banner dies
Karen Bruniston dies: Evergreen pivot panels, house pivot panels, nature edges
double sided tape and micro fine glitter, copic pens

Black Ice Technique

Hi everyone and Happy New Year.

I am back today with the first challenge with the CCEE Stampers team. 2019 will be another year of fun challenges.

Liz, our hostess this month, lives in a place where winters are relatively mild, but her greatest fear is driving in icy conditions. “Black Ice” is a very hazardous condition she has heard others mention. And she discovered in the tutorials on SCS ,a technique called “Black Ice” technique in stamping. So even without much experience at the icy driving or this technique, she is challenging us to give that technique a try.
I have never seen the black ice technique before, so I headed over to watch the tutorial. Foil card, stazon ink, and heat embossing sounded simple, but sadly my stazon ink had gone dry so I was off to buy some more before I could play.
The hardest thing about this technique was choosing what stamp set to use in the end I used some older supplies, I am not sure if they are still sold as current supplies or are retired.

Supplies:
Stamps: Petal prints - Stampin up - 2004
Mft - leaf flourish
Karen Burniston - celebrate die
hand cut fringed flower, clear embossing ink, black ink, black felt brad.
