Creativity takes courage

For today's card I tried a technique that was posted in one of my online groups. Here is a link to the source for instructuions. It uses crayons and a embossing folder. Now it took me some time to hunt up the crayons it has been along time since we have used them in this household.
I use chocolate base card with the leaf embossing folder and various autumn colour crayons. Then Adirondack inks to sponge and brilliance pearlescent ink to add the reflective light. As you add the crayon the embossing just pops out and then when you add the ink is gives the card a seude texture. I finished it off with bakers twine and the MFT Prima Donna Petals die-namics flower.

Add a splash of colour to everyday

I have seen this sketch several times, the cards have been amazing so I thought I would give it a try. I just kept telling myself to keep it simple. I have to be one of most dissatified card makers when it comes to clean and simple cards, I just can't seem to stop adding just one more thing.

The colours I have used are for an autumn challenge, red brown and orange, although in the photo the red looks more like pink.
When I look at my card, my only thought is blah. I really don't like this it just needs something so out comes another die cut template.

Supplies
Stamps: MFT - Clearly Sentimental about art.
MFT Die-namic, square nestabilities, hot glue, red ink

It is all about the ring

I played with Martha Stewart border and corner punches to create the doily base for this card, I have done this using 12 x 12 papers but this is the first time I have used the instructions that come in the pack for smaller squares.
The lace oval and flower were made using Marianne dies, I used 3 different size flower dies, with card and several layers of tissue paper to make the flower. The image and ribbon were coloured with copic pens. I usually add kidy glitz on the diamond for some sparkle but I must be out of it so I used papier glass finish and glitter, it gave 3d dimension to the diamond.
Supplies
Stamps: MFT A'la Mode
Paper: two shades of purple card, white card and designer paper, white tissue paper
Other: Marianne die, martha stewart punches, spellbinders oval nestabilities & fancy tags die, ribbon, copic pens, brad, glitter, papier glass finish.

Let's Celebrate 21

Hi All, I am back creating another 21st card, this time pink is the theme.
I have made a centre step card with My Favorite things A'la mode Cheers stamp as the focal point. I used copic pens to colour the image, I also used the same copic pen to colour a white ribbon pink, this is great if you have trouble matching colours. The copic ink actually make the ribbon alittle stiff when it dries, so the bow keeps it shape really well.
Inside I used the MFT's well worn greetings die-namics
Supplies:
Stamps: MFT A'la mode
Paper: papercraft designer paper, white and pink card
Other: ribbon, copic pens, spellbinder nestabilities, MFT die-namics, gem stones
