Triple Panel pop up

I made this card recently for a friend's birthday.
I pulled out a stamp set that I have had for a while, and inside I made a triple panel pop up. I also went stash diving for the designer paper that I have used for the background and the sentiment is from a sticker sheet.

 Thanks for looking today.

Kitchen Appliances

I recently joined this challenge and the theme was for Kitchen Appliances, this is what I came up with.
I have used this stamp set for Darcie's Home and Heart., I have used the electric mixer and bowl on the front and layered them onto some die-cut labels.
I had this designer paper in my stash for quite some time and I love using it in the background.

On the inside I have used Karen Burniston 1122 paper Frames Pop -up for some interactive fun. The little fox is just so cute. I added some more labels and  the die-cut spatula from Karen's past designs -
(1100 Props 8)

Friends

 Good Morning Crafting Friends,

Today I am sharing the card I made for a friends challenge. What is better thana few girlfriends getting together and having a fun time catching up.

Art Impression stamps have the best girlfriend stamp sets.

I have a ton of designer paper and while I use it for background layering this particular paper stack is thick enough to be used as a card base.

Thanks for looking and take care

Celebrate the little things

  Hi Crafting Friends,

This week on CCEE Stampers blog our challenge is to use die cuts.

Die Cuts Only - create a card that is created using dies only, no stamps. If you must, you can use a stamp for the sentiment, but bonus points if you use dies.

I have a friend who has a special birthday this month. As she loves her coffee dates, I chose to use Karen Burniston's Coffee cup pop-up for my die set today.

My card is another 5 x 7 card, the size wasn't planned but I did want to show off the designer paper. I made the coffee cup as per instructions, instead of added coffee beans I used the Happy from the Happy Birthday die and the numbers from the numbers set. The lace is a lace sticker from my stash.

On the front of the card I added the die cut sentiment panel from the card pack.

Supplies :

DCWV designer paper - Navy Florals

Karen Burniston dies: 1040 - Coffee Cop pop-up, 1031 - Numbers, 1030 - Happy Birthday, 1056 - Crosshatch squares

Spring Butterflies

Hi everyone,

It's a brand new month  on the CCEE Stampers blog. Which means our new challenge hostess for the month is Frances

Just like Slimline & Mini Slimline cards, the 5 x 7 inch card size is becoming more and more popular. For this week’s challenge create a 5 x 7 inch card.

I haven't really thought about making 5 x7  cards before, but they are an ideal size for showing off designer paper backgrounds.

I like this bright designer paper is super paper for a spring card, so I added some die cut butterflies for the theme and a die cut sentiment for a fun card.

I added some more die cuts inside to finish the senitment.

New Life

Hi Crafting friends.

It is time for the first challenge of the new year with the design team on CCEE Stampers blog.

It’s a brand-new year.  Use something brand-new or something you’ve never used before, on your card.  It could be a stamp, a die, or even a technique.

I made this card for a special occasion, next month will be celebrating an new life into our family, our first grandchild.

I made the inside of this card with the Karen Burniston's  1183 - Little Labels pop-up die set. and the 1086 - Baby Charms set. I also used the 1186- Boarder blends - trims 1184 - Labels - Crosshatch for decoration.
On the front of the card I included some die cut elements with designer paper background.

On the 1st day of Christmas

This my card for the first December card challenge with the team on the CCEE Stampers blog.

Music plays a huge part in the celebration of the Christmas holidays for many, many people. We hear holiday music played in churches, piped to us in stores, coming through our radios, and featured on holiday specials on T.V. throughout the month of December.

For today's challenge, "Celebrate with Song," Lynn is asking that the CCEE Stampers use song lyrics from a holiday song (either secular or religious) as the sentiment on the front of a Christmas design.

I had this DCWV 12 days of Christmas designer paper pack in my stash that I had purchased some time throughout the year. It has some artist trading card size pieces the coordinated with the designers paper., that I wanted to show case.

So I have made and interactive card using Karen Burniston's Rocking Rectangle Pop-up.

I made the card with an acetate front window to show off the panel in side and the movement that happens when the card opens.

A little bunny turns one

Today I have made this card for the challenge on CCEE Stampers blog.

Include a number or numbers on your creations this week. You can make an aged birthday card; number themed designer paper, number themed embossing folders or dies. Anything goes as long as there is a number somewhere!

I had a request for a 1st birthday card, it had to themed pink with a bunny. I found this DCWV designer paper stack in my stash.

I then made the scene inside using the Karen Burniston dies, for the layout I basically just followed the one on the packet.

I then added the Happy Birthday sentiment die cut.

One the front of the card I just used some of the elements that I used inside.

Here is a closer look at the inside pop up up.

Supplies:
Karen Burniston dies - 1079 - oval frames pop up, 1031 - numbers, 1074 - spring animals, 1006 - Nature edges, 1030 - Happy Birthday

Honey bees

Today is challenge 2135 on the CCEE Stampers Blog.

September is Honey Month. For our challenge this week, include something related to honey on your card – bees, honeycombs, beehives.

My card today has been made purely with designer paper from the DCWV water color garden paper stack.
I made the front of the card a fold back so that the double- sided paper would be highlighted. I then found a little sticker bee and added it to the bee hive.

Celebrating Chocolate Chip Day

Hi Crafting Friends

May 13th is Chocolate chip day.  Our challenge on the CCEE Stampers blog is to use chocolate on our card.

Who is not won over with a chocolate chip cookie in their life? So, on your creation this week, represent this day any way you would like from chocolate chip cookies, to chocolate of any kind, or making use of brown as your main color focus.

I have used designer paper and dies to created my card.

This piece of designer paper was too pretty to cut up.

Love

Today's challenge with the team on Crazy 4 Challenges blog is Love.

It's almost February! Wow, time flies. Blink and it'll be Valentine's Day! Today, create a project of love! It doesn't have to be a Valentine's Day card, but do use the word love on your project or put a heart on it somewhere.

I created my card using designer paper, slimline dies and die cut elements.

Baby Tag Book

Welcome to this weeks challenge with the CCEE Stampers team.

Baby - Create a card using baby as your inspiration, example: new baby, baby shower, grand baby, baby animals or even just a baby sized card.

For my card I have used the picket fence Jungle babies stamp set.

For the inside of my card I used Karen Burniston's Tag Book Pop-up die set. Instead of making a tag book, I added it to the inside of a card. I have seen a few of the design team use this technique for their cards so I thought I would give it a try.

I love the way this has turned out, an unexpected surprise when you open the card.

Here is the side view of the center pop up tag.

Fortune cookie day

Welcome to another challenge with the CCEE Stampers team. When I was deciding the challenges to use as hostess for this month a found out that is was Fortune cookie day. Oriental themed cards were so popular when I started card making, that was a long time ago and I still have papers although I did purchase a new stamp set.

Fortune cookie day - According to the days of the year calendar it is Fortune cookie day, use this to inspire an oriental themed card.

Happy Birthday Pop up cake

Today I am sharing the card I made for my daughter's 30th birthday, wow where did the years go.
That means I have been making special cards for 19 years, I have certainly a big change in the way that we create pop up cards in that time.
The first picture is of the center of the card as that is the special part, as you open the birthday cake pops up.
I have used Karen Burniston's cake pop up dies to create the cake and you can see Karen's video tutorial on this link as seeing is easier that explaining.

Here is the card completely open, the Happy Birthday die was cut one with black card and the other with glitter and off set to create a shadow. The bottom edge was felt raised designer paper, I made the cake with black gold and cream papers.

The designer paper that I have used is in the black and cream colours, some of the paper had raised felt areas, just like the piece I used for the front of the card, it is too pretty to cover up.

Wishing you a Happy Birthday

Welcome to this weeks Challenge with the CCEE team.
This week hostess Liz has challenged us to make a feminine birthday card in honor of her and Lynn's mother. It just so happens that tomorrow is my birthday so there is a lot of green on my card.

I liked this designer paper from DCWV and wanted to showcase the 12 x 6 piece with all the edging. I manages to fit in the pop up Happy Birthday die and still keep the main flower image.
To save the other half of designer paper for another project I just used plain card stock and dies from Crafter's Companion and My Favorite Things for the front of the card.

Party Bears

Hi Everyone,
Welcome to another fun challenge with hostess Frances and the CCEE stampers team.

Yesterday 16th November was " Have a Party with Your Bear Day". So to celebrate, lets's feature bears on your cards this week

This was a perfect challenge to use my Stampendous bears from the woodland friends set. The bear head and body comes as two separate stamps, after fussy cutting them I have angled the heads for some added expression.
The pop up platform for the centre of the card was made with the Lots of pops die designed by Karen Burniston for Elizabeth Craft Designs .   The party hats were made with the Props 2 die set. I have just used the designer paper for the front of the card as the main focal point is in the middle.

Sweet Strawberries

Hi Everyone,
It's time to join the Crazies of Crazy 4 Challenges blog and this month I am the hostess.
I would like to welcome guest hostess Liz Williams for this months challenges.

My challenge is
Who can resist fresh fruit in season, for me it's strawberries, so add some form of fruit to your card. Think of stamps, dies, papers or colours.

For the front of this card I have used this beautiful Penny Black stamp designed by Mo Manning. It is framed with Elizabeth Craft designs stitched oval.
For the last few months a couple I have been working with the Twist circle pop up  designed by Karen Burniston for Elizabeth Craft Designs.   You can watch Karen's video on how to use this die  here .

Previously I have used this as a landscape design but I wanted to use this designer paper with the layering design. In the portrait layout you can see part of the arm when you open the card after I attached my decorated circle, to hide it I attached an extra strawberry and it just folds under the circle when I close the card.

I have used Joset's strawberries die, shaped and coloured them with distress inks. When the card is fully opened the circle with the strawberries lies flat, I hope that you can get the idea without a video, it is a fun interactive card.

Here is a close up of the pop up strawberries.

Supplies:
Elizabeth Craft Designs Stitched oval
DCWV designer paper, copic pens
