CCEE1626 Mixed Media

For her last challenge for this month, on CCEE Stampers blog,Vicky says she needs to practice mixed media so she can join in more challenges.

Quoting Splitcoaststamers: A "medium" can be any of the following:

Pencils - Chalk, oil
Markers - watercolor, pigment, water-based acrylic
Pens - ink, glitter
Pigments - Gelatos, watercolor crayons, metallic rubons
Paints - watercolor, acrylic, oil, poster, tempera
Inks - dye, chalk, distress, reinkers, pigment, hybrid
Powders - mica, pigment, chalk
Sprays & airbrushing
Dimensionals - embossing paste, gesso, fabric, found items, papers (collage, piecing) & ephemera, foils
Heated elements - encaustic wax, embossing

Well I tend to over complicate mixed media challenges, working full time and packing for holiday's I just ran out of time for this challenge, rather that miss out I thought I would share a sample tag that was a make and take at the craft show earlier this month. This idea and all the products were found on the Kaszzaz stand, however all the placements of the colours and stamps were my own works. I hope this fits the brief this week, I was really impressed on how easy it was to make.

C4C342 butterflies

Welcome to another challenge for Crazy 4 Challenges. Here is Karen's last challenge for June: ADD A BUTTERFLY! I love butterflies, so have a butterfly be the main focus of your card this week. If that doesn't work for you, just add a butterfly.

I thought was time to tryout this new die that I have designed by Karen Burniston for Elizabeth Craft Designs.

The card is a single layer and is flat for postage but when you pull the tab up pops the frame and wow you have a dimensional card that reveals a hidden message. The glittered butterfly swings free, it just doesn't show in this photo.

Let your dreams set sail

This week I got together with a couple of friends, when we meet each month we shop at our favourite craft store and challenge ourselves to use our new purchases, this month we had to use anything from the Couture Creations Sea Breeze Collection.
There are some beautiful 12 x 12 papers in this collection that  I really wanted to show case and my favourite way to highlight them is using the Lorna Label pop up die by Karen Burniston for Elizabeth Craft Designs.

The papers also come in a 6 x 6 pack, which I have used on the front along with a few of their stamp range.

Charm wedding pop

Today I am sharing a card that was inspired by a card my friend Frances Byrne made as part of Karen Burniston's designer team, you can see her card here.

Items I have used for the inside of the card.
Karen Burniston designs
Cake pop up
Paris Edges
Accordion Oval
Wedding Charms
Stage it stencil
Elizabeth Craft Designs
Double sided tape
Micro fine glitter
Brillance copper ink, Penny Black sentiment

On the front I used another stenciled panel but Tonic Studio dies.

Here is a close up of the bridal cake.

I just love Karen's new hanging charms, but of course they are great as embellishments also. I think I will be using these and the other charms a great deal they are so much fun.

Disney friends

Hello,

CCEE Stampers challenge day and Vicky is back with this weeks challenge.

Today is Donald Duck Day!!!  Donald has been around since 1934.

Let's celebrate Donald by using a duck..real or imaginary.  Extra points if you use Donald or any other fictional duck on your card.  Let's see what you come up with.

In our house we love anything Disney, so I just had to pull out this stamps set from EK Sucess, I have had it for ages and it doesn't see as much ink as it use to.

CCEE1622 Rocky Road icecream

Hello there,
It is time for a challenge on CCEE Stampers blog, with new hostess for the month Vicky.

Today is a day dedicated to the eating of Rocky Road Ice Cream!!!  A dessert made from chocolate, marshmallows, nuts and chocolate, as well as an ice cream favor!!!  Who wouldn't want to celebrate that!

Let's celebrate this popular ice cream by adding a dessert to our cards...Use an ice cream cone, sundae or any other Rocky Road dessert  you can think of!

Let's get yummy!!!

For my card I have used the tattered lace diamond fold die, it was just the right size for this cute little bear and her Ice-cream Sunday.

Don't forget to check out the CCEE Stampers blog to see the rest of the creations the CCEE Stampers created this week. You can also see more details of their creations on their individual blogs.
