Celebrate your Special Day

I made this card for a glitter challenge. I have used some glitter card stock behind this die cut frame, I then added the die cut floral image on to foam tape and added glitter nuvo drop as embellishments.
Some of the supplies I have had for many years, and some have been gifted to me.

Glitter frame

This was the trail card for a glitter challenge, I used the dragonfly delight keepsake frames from Tonic Studio. While it fit the challenge fine, I finally chose a different card and am happy to add this to my card stash.

Winter blizzard

This is my card for the CCEE Stampers blog challenge - CCEE2143.

Create a Scene! For our challenge this week create a card that features a scene of some type… outside or inside.

I have used the Hero Arts 6 x 6 background stamp for my scene. I rather thought that just stamping the scene was way to easy for this challenge so I created a shaker card with an acetate front and glitter for the snowy winter scene.

Catch the Breeze

On the Crazy 4 Challenges blog is week 3 sketch challenge.

This is the card I have made I started by turning the sketch on its side. I made the butterfly using dies and micro fine glitter. I then used the insert die cut pieces for Newton Nook's slimline dies.

I cut 3 panels of designer paper using slimline die, one for the front and two for the inside. I added the Katherine Label inside for the pop up and added the butterfly and square. I also added the sentiment inside.

Supplies
Karen Burniston - 1011- Katherine Label pop up, 1151 Long rectangles crosshatch
Newton's Nook- Slimline Frames and Windows die
Stampendous - Sentiment
Elizabeth Craft designs -  Butterfly Silhouette, micro fine glitter.

Baby Treasure

This week on the Crazy 4 Challenges blog, our challenge is to make a baby card with fall colours.

Let’s make a baby card. Apparently we are expecting a baby explosion after the quarantine months so we are likely to need them! As a fall bonus, use fall colours or woodland creatures on your card.

I made my card base using a step die. The monkey is a sticker that is coloured with copic marker over micro fine glitter.

Supplies
Cherry Lynn step die, Karen Burniston -sentiment dies
copic markers, Elizabeth Craft Designs - micro fine glitter and sticker sheet. designer paper

Mad Hatters Day

Welcome to today's card for the CCEE Stampers design blog challenge. This month we are welcoming two new design team members. Manal and Hazel welcome to the team.

Apparently the 6th October is Mad Hatter Day, so for our challenge this week, create a card inspired by the theme … Hats, Alice In Wonderland, Mad Hatter etc.

I didn't have anything in the Alice and Wonderland theme, so I just went with the white rabbit. It has been sometime since I have made a card using stickers and micro-fine glitter. To create the card I covered white card stock with double sided tape, then peel off the backing sheet. I then peeled off the sticker and attached it to the tape sticky sides together, being careful not to touch the sticky side using the release paper rub the sticker into the card. I then poured micro-fine glitter all over the image and it adhered to the area around the sticker. I then burnished the glitter into the card before colouring with copic markers.

Coffee Moustache

This week on CCEE Stampers we are asked to put a moustache on our cards.

November is also known as Movember which is a time to celebrate and raise funds for male issues.
For our challenge this month include a Moustache (Mo) on your card in some way.

I have been wanting to use this Thanks a Latte stamp set for Lawn Fawn for ages. It is kind of quirky to add faces to the cups, they looked so sweet. I coloured the images to match the designer paper in the background. It just so happened that I had a jar of shaker sequins on my desk waiting to be used, it has been so long since I have made a shaker card, I just love the way it turned out. With so much going on the front this inside looked rather plain so I just added the pop - up inside last minute.

Supplies:
Lawn Fawn - Thanks a Latte stamp set
Stitched Hillside Backdrop.
Karen Burniston - 1011 - Katherine Label pop -up die
1054 - Crosshatch rectangle die

Happy Birthday Pop up cake

Today I am sharing the card I made for my daughter's 30th birthday, wow where did the years go.
That means I have been making special cards for 19 years, I have certainly a big change in the way that we create pop up cards in that time.
The first picture is of the center of the card as that is the special part, as you open the birthday cake pops up.
I have used Karen Burniston's cake pop up dies to create the cake and you can see Karen's video tutorial on this link as seeing is easier that explaining.

Here is the card completely open, the Happy Birthday die was cut one with black card and the other with glitter and off set to create a shadow. The bottom edge was felt raised designer paper, I made the cake with black gold and cream papers.

The designer paper that I have used is in the black and cream colours, some of the paper had raised felt areas, just like the piece I used for the front of the card, it is too pretty to cover up.

The easel card folds flat for posting.

Noel

Today I have used my favourite way of using glitter with the Pretty Quick Stained glass Noel die set.
I added double sided tape to white card stock and using black card stock I die cut the panels, I then peeled off the release sheet and added the die cut to the sticky side, being careful not to leave fingerprints, then using the release sheet I pressed the die panel firmly into place. Removing the release sheet again I used Micro fine glitter in warm diamonds all over the panel and burnished it into the card. I then coloured the stained glass panel with copic pens. Then attached the panel to designer paper along with the extra frame using double sided tape and a card base.

Best Wishes for a safe and Merry Christmas to all.

Star of Wonder

Who doesn't love singing or humming along with a Christmas Carols at this time of year. For our challenge this week, take you inspiration from any Christmas Carol.

This is our challenge on the CCEE stampers blog.
For my card  I used stamps that came free in a magazine and was inspired by the words " Star of Wonder Star of Night." I have to admit that I had to hum them to come up with the song title.
We three Kings of Orient are
I used the boy in the window image and layered it with foam tape to create a shaker card, filled with glitter. I used the star and the tree also included in this set for the view out of the window.

My Magazine is the Creative Stamping Magazine issue 48, with the Wild Rose Studio - Away in the Manger stamps.

Winter snow

Continuing on with the FGM challenge for this month and considering I still had this die set out on the table I made another card with these scenic winter border dies, free in the Simply Cards and Papercraft Magazine - issue 168.

The background sky was created by just sweeping copic pens in several colours across then card until I was happy with it.
I apply double sided adhesive sheets to white card stock, with the backing sheet face up I then cut the border dies to create a layered scene. Peeled of the backing sheet and applied the micro fine glitter and used a copic pen W1 to shade the edges. I placed a piece of yellow card behind the windows and foam tape under the house and figures for more dimension. As an after thought I stamped the sentiment with permanent ink, but as you can see it bled into the glitter before it dried, it is not something I will try again.
I originally had plans for a shaker card but just went with the foam mounted frame.

Glitter Bees

Today is challenge day on Crazy 4 Challenges and hostess Caz has asked that we put bees or bugs on our card.
The inspiration for my card came the other day when I was at my friend Frances's house, she has all her cards on display. Frances just happened to have a card using the beehive next to her one inspired by Els' technique Friday tutorials.
You can see their creations here, here and here.

I wanted to inlay the honeycomb, but I found it was too hard to line up all the pieces, so I just covered a piece of white card with double sided tape. I cut a piece to size for the card front, the cut several honeycomb pieces, lining them up to cover the card front being careful not to get finger prints on the sticky double sided tape. I then added the warm diamond micro fine glitter and polished it into the card.
I then took the double sided tape off the honeycomb pieces and using saffron glitter I did the same.
I then inlaid the entwined circles  that were glittered with rust and solar gold.
I then used copic pens to add different shades of yellow to the honeycomb, and finished the front with the bees with glittered wings.

Inside the card I die cut the bee hive  and some glittered bees.

Adele's Flowers

Today I am sharing the card I made for my Mother in law's birthday, she has a lovely garden so I have made a pop up Flower Pot.
To create the flower pot, I used the Flower Pop up die designed by Karen Burniston for
Elizabeth Craft Designs

Karen has a  video for instructions on this die, I found it very easy to follow.

I kept the layout true to the picture on the packaging, by adding the Paris edges.

All the flower components are included in the set along with the butterfly wings, I added the body from the small butterfly set and covered them with micro fine glitter.

The front is just designer paper with the die cut words covered with glitter.

Supplies:
Flower pot pop stand
Paris Edges
Labels & Circles
Small Butterfly
Numbers & More 2
Curvy leaves
Micro fine glitter

Life's rules

Hello!
It is challenge day with my friends on Crazy 4 Challenges and  hostess Joanne is here with the week's challenge.....

July 11 is Cheer Up the Lonely Day.  Let’s create cards of encouragement.

For my card I chose this lovely sentiment stamp from Verses called Life's Rules. I also had another day playing with some new products from Elizabeth Craft Designs. Els has released some new silk Micro fine glitter colours this month  and I have used  2 new colours, Bright Cranberry and Light Brass also basic black. I have used the polishing technique to apply the glitter to my elements. The Victorian Flower and Victorian Flower overlay 1  is made with glitter and fire opal gemstone shimmer sheetz.
New products for me to use was the soft finish dove gray card stock,  designer paper through the lens stone , Berry BranchFitted frames 5 lace circles .

There has been some changes to the line up of designers on Crazy 4 Challenges since I last played, we have said good bye to Peggy and Jen, all the best on their new adventures. Welcome to Cas Counsell and Tammy Hershberger to the team.
