Fantasy Dreams

                                                              Hi Crafting Friends,

My card today is made for the challenge with the Crazy 4 Challenges team- C4C577

Today is Tolkien Reading day, named after the Author J R R Tolkien, create a card using one of his books for inspiration and make sure that you add gold in some form on your card.

I am taking you back to my high school days were I first read a J R R Tolkien book. It was an English assignment, the book was the Hobbit. I have used Lavinia stamps to create my scene, with the hobbit burrow and the dragon Smaug.

I created the background using the Gel Printing Plate. Starting with the Lavinia Elements Sahara ink, I used a brayer to apply the ink to the Gel Plate. I then added droplets of Olive and  Mermaid, with a fan brush.

I then stamped the images in memento black ink and Lavinia Elements Pine. I sponged in the ground and added white highlights.

I added gold pen to the tree vines, but I had to wait until it was a sunshine day for it to show up in the photo.

Supplies
Lavinia stamps: Berry Leaves, Words of Spring, Dragon Set, Druids Inn, slender mushrooms.
Lavinia Inks : Elements- Olive, Sahara, Pine, Mermaid. Memento black ink.
Gel Press - Gel Printing Plate gold pen, white gel pen, Zig - wink of stella brush pen.

Black Magic using pencils

Hi Crafting Friends,

This is my card for the challenge on CCEE Stampers blog.

Apparently the 30th March is Pencil Day … For the challenge this week, feature pencils, colored pencils, crayons etc on your card creations. Either use this medium to color your image, or feature an image of pencils, crayons etc.

I don't use pencils too often but I recently watched a Gina K tutorial on Black Magic Technique with colored pencils. It looked like so much fun I thought I would give it a try.
I recently purchased the Holiday Tapestry stamp set, I thought the leaf flourish would be suitable for this technique. I was really happy with the results.

Firstly I stamped the image with moonlight white ink and once dried I added the colour pencils over the ink, because the ink was pearlescent it gave the image a nice glow.
I then added the dots with a white gel pen.
I created the owl using a die, after die cutting I placed it onto white card with double sided tape on it and then covered the whole are with microfine glitter. I the coloured the owl with copic markers.
Inside I placed a simple pop up sentiment.

Supplies: Gina K - Holiday Tapestry, Derwert -artists pencils, brillance ink - moonlight white, Karen Burniston - Katherine Label pop-up - Anita Frames pop-up (retired) Occasions stamp set (retired) owl die, microfine glitter, white gel pen, copic markers.

Dragonfly Dreams

                                                               Hi Crafting Friends

My card today is for the Sketch Challenge on Crazy 4 Challenges blog.

For the dragonfly piece I used a stamp that was one of the first clear stamps that I had purchased, from My Stamps back 20 years ago when all you could get was wood mounted rubber stamps.

Snow Trees

                                                                    Hi Crafting Friends

Apparently the 21st March is International Day of Forests. For our challenge on CCEE Stampers blog this week, we are including a tree or trees on our creations.

I have been wanting to make this card since I saw the die set from Hero arts. Following a tip from a Jennifer Mcguire tutorial, I used light blue card stock for the card back and blending Chipped Sapphire distress oxide ink. I then splattered pearl white paint to look like snow.

I also splatted the paint onto the white card after die cutting the trees. I then glued on the angel mix sequins to the trees for some Christmas bling.

Along with the Christmas sentiments.

Double stencil background

                                                         Hi Crafting Friends

Today I made a card using a double stencil background for the C4C575 challenge on the Crazy4Challenges blog.

Many companies have released new stencil designs, try using two or more stencils on your card. If you don’t have new ones, dig out the ones you have in your supplies. Try this technique it is lots of fun.

I created my background using Lavinia Stencils - Laurel and Pebbles with destress inks. I then used Lavinia stamps Fairy Bridge, Dragon set, Slender Mushrooms, Feather, Unicorn 2 to create the scene. I then added some shading and a touch of copic inks around the bridge.

Glitter Butterflies

                                                         Hi Crafting Friends

Today I am sharing my card for the CCEE Stampers blog challenge CCEE2110.

Did you know that the 14th March Is Learn About Butterflies Day. Include at least one butterfly on your card this week.

I made the background using the Lavinia Stamps stencil Pods, with Distress inks - twisted citron, shaded lilac, abandoned coral, spun sugar. For the butterflies I created a background of destress oxide inks, Milled lavender, shabby shutters, iced spruce, worn lipstick. I then covered this with double sided tape and attached Elizabeth Craft designs butterfly stickers and covered them with cool diamond micro fine glitter. I then fussy cut them out and mounted them on foam before attaching them to the card. I then added the die cut sentiment.

Marching Band

                                              Hi Crafting Friends

Today I am joining the design team on Crazy 4 Challenges blog as the hostess for March.

Apparently today is Marching Band Day, I am asking that you  celebrate it by creating a card using this theme.

To make my card I have used the Newton's Nook designs - The nutcracker squeak stamp set. I stamped the center image and masked it and then stamped the other images masking as I went. I then fussy cut them out and layered them onto foam tape. I stamped the instruments onto the designer paper to create the background. I added the instruments to the mice with foam tape to create a 3D look. My card measures 13 x 10.5 centimeters when completed.

Choose Hope

Hi Crafting Friends

This is the card I made for the CCEE Stampers challenge CCEE2109.

Apparently the 2nd March was Old Stuff Day, for our challenge this week let's combine something older (stamps, dies etc) with something newish.

I used the spellbinders shapeabilities expandable Botanical Swirls die released in 2012 to make the background panel for this card.
I used the Pink Fresh Studio slimline die released in 2019 to cut out a layering panel.
For the floral image and the sentiment I have used stamps from Pink Fresh Studio - Choose Hope released in 2021. I also used the the coordinating stencils and distress oxide inks to colour in the flowers.
