Spring Flowers

Welcome to the CCEE stampers challenge, where Hostess Frances has issued the challenge.

In my part of the world (Australia), Saturday is the first day of Spring .... Flowers are beautiful at any time of the year so for our challenge this week we are to add some flowers to our card.

Spring is my favourite time of the year, I love it when the the weather warms up and all the flowers come to life. My card features the Heartfelt creations Fuchsia Spray and the sentiment is from Paper Rose.

FGM Flowers

My card to today is for the challenge that I do with some friends, each month we have a theme to challenge us to use our craft supplies.
This month our challenge was to use flowers. I started by creating an embossed panel using a Kaisercraft stencil and Nuvo mousse in citrus green. While that was drying I made some flowers with the Dahlia garden notes dies from Elizabeth craft designs. I then made a base card using the Karen Burniston designs oval pull card die and the hello is a die from the retangle pull card set.

For my Dad

Welcome to this weeks Challenge with the Crazy 4 Challenges team.

This week our challenge is to make cards with a male theme. With Fathers Day next week in Australia I thought I would make a card for my girls to give to their Dad. He likes nothing better than spending time on the golf course.

I have used the Lawn Fawn Stitched hillside pop-up die and the  'For the boys' stamps that were free in the Cardmaking in easy steps issue 26 Magazine.

Don't forget to check out the rest of the “Crazies” cards over on the Crazy 4 Challenges blog and also their individual blogs for more details.

Ride the wind

Welcome to this weeks CCEE Stampers challenge.

Today (23rd August) is Ride the Wind Day, this day was created to celebrate the anniversary of the first man powered flight. There are so many things that rely on wind for them to work, so let's include something that needs wind on our cards today. Some examples include kite flying, windsurfing, Hang Gliding; Sailing Boats, Birds Flying, Hot Air Balloons, Balloons, Paper Planes etc.

For my card today I used the stamps and dies from Taylored Expressions and the stitched squares from Elizabeth Craft Designs.

Happy Birthday Pop up cake

Today I am sharing the card I made for my daughter's 30th birthday, wow where did the years go.
That means I have been making special cards for 19 years, I have certainly a big change in the way that we create pop up cards in that time.
The first picture is of the center of the card as that is the special part, as you open the birthday cake pops up.
I have used Karen Burniston's cake pop up dies to create the cake and you can see Karen's video tutorial on this link as seeing is easier that explaining.

Here is the card completely open, the Happy Birthday die was cut one with black card and the other with glitter and off set to create a shadow. The bottom edge was felt raised designer paper, I made the cake with black gold and cream papers.

The designer paper that I have used is in the black and cream colours, some of the paper had raised felt areas, just like the piece I used for the front of the card, it is too pretty to cover up.

Sweet treats

Welcome to this weeks sketch challenge with the Crazy 4 challenges team.

For my card today I have used the stamp set that came free with the Creative Stamping Magazine issue 39. Inside I used the same images and created a pop up card using the Karen Burniston's Cup cake pop up die as a generic pop up platform. I also used some old My Favorite things border dies as embellishments.

Sports fan

Today I am sharing the card that I made for my daughter's partner. He is a huge Liverpool fan and was missing the games since he relocated to be with her, so she asked if I would make him a football/soccer card. I had this Daisy & Dandelion set for awhile, it has several small images that I wanted to use. I decided to make it a fun interactive card with the twist panel pop-up dies from Karen Burniston.

Here is a closer look at the pop -up panel in the center of the card.

Tonight they are at a pub/bar watching the first game of the season, hope they are having a good night.

Thanks for looking.......

Summer bugs

Welcome to this Saturday's challenge with the Crazy 4 Challenges team.

I love summer! With summer time the bugs come too....the annoying ones, like the mosquitos, but also beautiful ones like dragonflies and butterflies. For this challenge put a bug on your card/project.

I imagine any where in the world summer means bugs. Lots of bugs of different varieties  and lots of time trying to catch them or swat them away.

King Rules

Welcome  to another challenge with the CCEE Stampers team.

Apparently Tomorrow is World Lion Day .... Lions are also often referred to as the "King of the Jungle" so lets see some jungle animals appearing on our cards this week … bonus points if you include a lion.

For the front of my card I used Kaisercraft paper pack and the stampendous baby lion. Inside I used the Karen Burniston designs Spinner square pop-up. I only used the pop up part of the die set and attached the oval die and free hand cut circle as the base for my image and sentiment.

Mountain climbing day

Welcome to this week's challenge with the Crazy 4 Challenges team.

Apparently August 1st is National Mountain Climbing Day.....I don't climb real mountains, but do think that they are beautiful and I love looking at them. So for this first challenge of the month, I am asking you to put some mountains on your card/project.

I don't live near high any mountains but i imagine they would have trees, cabins and wildlife. I have used Karen Burniston's out door scene dies to create my card.

Don't forget to check out the rest of the “Crazies” cards over on the Crazy 4 Challenges blog and also their individual blogs for more details.

Splash of color

Welcome to the CCEE Stampers challenge for today.

Apparently today (2nd August) is Coloring Book Day. Coloring books are popular for both young and old. For our challenge today use an image on your card that needs to be colored ... bonus points for those who have coloring books and uses an image from one of those for your card today.

Well I am not receiving any bonus points for today's card and the only things I have time to colour are stamped images. Today I created a spotlight card highlighting a section of the Hero Arts background stamp with heat embossing a panel, colouring it in and die cutting a circle and placing it over a black and white background image. I added an old MFT sentiment.

Don't forget to check out the CCEE Stampers blog to see the rest of the creations the CCEE Stampers have created this week. You can also see more details of their creations on their individual blogs.
