Penguin Step Fold card.

Today on the CCEE Stampers blog the Design team are sharing their cards with Penguins.

 It's Penguin Awareness Day.  Put a penguin or two on your card. 

I made this step fold card with my scoring board. The base card folds flat for postage, the front panel is sized to suit the stamp that I have used. I dug through my supplies for a penguin stamp and found this clear stamp from Stampavie. It is never to early to start you stash of Christmas cards. I am not sure if  the stamp set is still available somewhere. The sentiments and banner die is from Lawn Fawn.

Pollen dreams

This week on the CCEE Stampers blog Anne has challenged us to use some of our hoarded paper stock.

My paper is from the Kaisercraft Botanica Collection called Pollen, I have teamed it with one of my favourite bird images with dogwood flowers. I then added the die cuts sentiment with a glaze pen coat for the final layer.

Best Friends

Welcome to this weeks CCEE team challenge.

Can anyone resist the cuteness of a puppy, man's best friend? In honor of National Puppy Week, find your cutest image a puppy and feature it on your card this week! Heck, you could even throw in two or three! I love puppies!

I wanted to use this sentiment but I couldn't get it to fit on the front, so I finished inside the card.

Sweethearts

Today my card is for a challenge that I do with a couple of friends of mine. Each month we challenge ourselves to use certain products, since it it the month of love that is our theme for this month.

I have cut the heart background die in red card stock and attached it to piece of white card covered with double sided adhesive, with the sticky side up. I then covered the whole piece with micro fine glitter and burnished in the glitter to the tape. Then die cut the panel with a stitched border. I made a bow with ribbon and added the stamped image and the hand cut fishtail banner and die cut heart.

Top Catch

Challenge day with my friends on CCEE Stampers. Liz is back again with this weeks challenge.

The month of August is National Catfish Month. Fishing is a year round sport and hobby around where I live, especially saltwater fishing. So, for the challenge this week, find a fish, or someone fishing and it might make a perfect masculine card for your stash!!

CCEE Farm animals Challenge

Challenge day on CCEE Stampers and it is Anne's last week as hostess. Our CCEE1513 theme is March goes out like a lamb (we hope!), so the theme is farm animals if you don't have an image of a lamb.

I cut the rectangle accordion twice out of blue card and 4 times out of designer paper, I then stamped my image and coloured and die cut it with the Katie accordion and another in blue card. I then separated the center pieces from the designer paper & white panel. Adhered them to the blue panels, added the verses cut with the dies matching from the Rectangle accordion. I then added the die cut flowers and flourish and added the gem stones.

Here is a close up of the front panel, the card folds flat for postage.

A little bird told me

Happy New Year Everyone.

Welcome to the first CCEE Stampers challenge of 2015. We have a great list of challenge in store for this year for lots if inspiration don't forget to bookmark our blog. 

Our hostess this month is Vicky Gould. Vicky asks that we create a card spotlighting a bird. I just happened to have this cute little bird coloured and ready to go. 

The base card was created using the Sizzix stand up die created by Stephanie Barnard, I also used the happy birthday die from Elizabeth Craft designs.

Here is the card flat for postage, truly it is that same card but it seems that the camera picked up the green background and it changed the colours.

CCEE1435 Technique challenge

Today challenge on CCEE Stampers is Amber's Technique Challenge - Herringbone  A fun technique using up scraps of paper. Directions can be found here: http://www.splitcoaststampers.com/resources/tutorials/herringbone/
I thought is was about time I made my first Christmas card for this year. Paper packs are great for this technique as they have a assortment of coordinating papers although you may have useful scrap papers.
 I die cut an oval panel with spellbinders nestabilities die and added the coordinating bling edge. The image is Stampavie Laurence Collection - Cosy Christmas and is coloured with copic pens.

Double Katie Pivot

I have been wanting to try this Double Katie Pivot card ever since I watched the tutorial on Karen Burniston's Blog. I had the left over piece of designer paper and all the bits and pieces from the other Katie pivot card I made the other day. The good thing about these dies is that they fit into any size card. Just follow the link to watch Karen's tutorial for the best instructions.

 This cute little bird is a stampavie stamp bird on a dogwood branch. Now when I showed this card to my friends they wanted to know what I used to create the matting layers. While we love all the new products on the market it is not always possible in reality to buy them. So I looked at all my dies and found the ones from spellbinders fit quite comfortably in the double pivot.

 Here is the back view of the card, I just love the way it sits flat for mailing.

This card was made using 3 different Sizzix dies that all work together with the pop n cut platform, they are all designed by Karen Burniston.

I love the idea that Karen has that all her products can be used with each other.

Again I have used the Stampavie Laurence collection star gazing stamp, with some other winter stamps. I was going with white snowflakes but because I used textured card the image didn't stamp clear so I then overstamped the snowflakes with a dark blue ink.

Here is another Sizzix circle flip it card, combining a memory border die and Laurence Collection stamp Star Gazing  from Stampavie.

                                             Love the interactive card they are so much fun.

Having a Flipping good time

I have been have fun creating flip it cards, they are quick and look fantastic. I have used two different ones but there are several shapes to choose from, I just combined designer paper scraps and border punches for a great look.

Hi there, I have a few birthdays coming up and it is always great to have cake for your birthday, but some of us are alway watching the waist line so a cupcake card is great instead. I came across this site called Cute card Thursday and the challenge theme "was time for cake" so here is my card. I have used Mojo Monday mojo209 for my layout.

Hi there,
Here is another cute Mo Manning image to share. I used the SFyttJune11 sketch for the layout
this card is alo an entry into the Boomerang Stampers List COTM things with wings theme. I love her in purples and I think I will keep trying different colours just to see which one I like the best.
I have watched a few tutorials on how to colour with copics, I must say for a person that usually just colours the whole thing, trying to create shading and shadows has been quite a challenge.

Hello there,
I started colouring this image last week for the CCEE stampers pink challenge 1125, but it has taken me until tonight to finish it, well better late than never I say.
The sketch I have used is from Taylored Expressions TESC141 and last week I also came across the paper flower tutorial at Amazing Paper Grace, Becca used tissue paper but I had this light coloured vellum that worked really great.
I have been collecting a few of these great Mo Manning stamps that are just so cute and easy to colour.Supplies:

Twins turn one

Today my Twin great - nephews turn one. It is hard to believe that they have gone from this tiny to the happy and healty boys they are now.

Beacause the boys are identical my niece like to keep them in certain colours just so you can tell them apart. Kobe Bryce is the one on the left and this is his card. My first attempt at a round easel card, it wasn't as difficult as I first thought. I stamped my image and coloured it with copics. I then used Plaid dimensional glass finish tint over the star to make it pop. Then used nestabilities to cut out the shapes and then just assembled them. You can find some instruction on splitcoast stampers resource files I made this z fold card for Dylan Blake, I stamped the image and coloured it with copics and used dimensional tint on the ribbon and spots on the present. You can find insrtuctions for the zigzag fold card by following a link that I posted last month

Just the two of us

In February I entered a card into the Card of the Month competition on Boomerang Stampers List a yahoo group for stampers from Australia and New Zealand. I got the biggest shock of my life when they announced my card had won. This is my card the theme was animals, the prize was the knowledge that when put to the vote other people did enjoy my cards. Plus my card would grace the web page for the following month plus then I chose the theme for the next cotm challenge.

There seemed to be some interest with constuction cards and several posts had links, so my theme for march was fun folds. You are allowed to post 2 cards each so I made 2 different one a easel card and a zigzag card.

This card was made for my sister's birthday and I had posted it previously on her birthday.

Gone fishing

This like like a blast from the past, I had seen this sketch somewhere in my files and when I looked up the link it was from Taylored Expressions back in April 2009.

I made this for my Brother in Law who is always off fishing, sometimes in dams where the only thing you can see is dead trees and water, relying on a gps to get him back home. I used the embossing folder to give the feeling of sticks all around. I hope he manages to catch something and have lots of fun.
