Brother celebrate 60

We recently celebrated my Brother in Law's 60th birthday. He is a bit of a car enthusiast so I made this masculine slimline card for him.
I chose masculine papers from Kaisercraft and added some stamped gear images. I then added the die cut sentiment and number.

Go for a ride

Today is the week 4 challenge on the Crazy4Challenges blog.

Last Monday was Go For A Ride Day. For our challenge this week, create a card that features something you might ride on … car, bus, bike, truck, horse etc.

The main focal stamp is a old rubber wood mounted die from long ago. It matches perfectly with the designer paper background. I added the several layers of the die cut sentiment.

Thankful leaves

This month on CCEE Stampers part of the design team are celebrating Thanksgiving, so we are making Thankful cards.

Create a card or project with a thankful theme ~ bonus points for adding a leaf/leaves on your card!

I found the designer paper in my stash along with a magazine that I have had for awhile. Inside the magazine was a free embossing folder and leaf dies. Using the colours in the designer paper for inspiration I created the inlay die cut leaves. And added the Lawn Fawn sentiment.

Supplies:

Lawn Fawn Thanks die

Papercraft essentials issue 177 including the Hot of the Press embossing folder and leaf die falling leaves.

Hearts

 Hi Crafting friends,

I recently created this card for a heart challenge.

I have used Lawn Fawn Heart dies, just as tags on the front.

On the inside I have used some background pieces cut from designer paper and Karen Burniston Heart Pivot Panels, for a quick and easy way to add some interest to the card.

Christmas Sketch

It is challenge time on Crazy4Challenges.

It's the third Saturday of the month, which means time for a sketch challenge. This time around we have another Slimline sketch for you to use.

I have used the Tim Holtz Poinsettia Layering Stencil and distress inks for the background. I pulled the Spellbinders poinsettia die that I have had for many years. The sentiments are from Law Fawn Holiday Sentiments Reveal Wheel stamp set, that I have white heat embossed.

Home sweet home

It is challenge time with the crazies on the Crazy4challenges blog. This month we have been challenged by Frances.

Create a card that features a house/house or any element you might find on a house … door, window, roof etc.

I have found a cardmaking collection magazine and stamp pack in my supplies. I had purchased it some time ago it contains Thomas Kincade inspired art stamps and some lovely sentiments.
The embossing folder was also in the set, I kept is simply by heat embossing the focal stamp and using designer paper for the background.

Manatee Awareness Month

                                                                 Hi Crafting Friends

Today's card is made for the challenge on the CCEE Stampers blog.

                                                Celebrate Manatee Awareness Month

I had this background die for some time, thinking one day I would use it for a shaker card. Things didn't go to plan and I ran out of time, so I have just used several layers to add dimension on the background and glued in some pearls beads, before adding the sentiment and attaching the Manatee.
