Double oval Flap card

I made this Double flap card with an oval so that I could fit the Lavina stamps images. I chose the purples reflected in the designer paper for the colour palate.

This is the oval version of the   Double Circle flap card that I shared last week.

Double circle flap card

This was a super fun card to make. Inspired by Iced Images Double Donut Flap Card tutorial that I found last year. Using a A4 piece of card stock, cut in half lengthwise to make two cards. I scored the base to make the double flap, attaching the designer paper layers for the background.

I then die cut the circles and decorated them and attached them to the folds. The inside one first then lining up the front over the inside one, to complete the card.

Cocktail night

A cocktail themed party was held to celebrate a friend's birthday, so I made this card for her.
I sponged and stenciled the background and fussy cut out the images and added them to the card with foam tape. Inside the card I added the spinner square pop- up die panels, the sentiment pops out from the front panel as you open the card.

Butterfly wave

This my version of a wave card, I love using butterflies on the wave.
I pulled out some stamps from my stash but any that fit would suit.
I made the card base to fit into an Australia standard postage envelope and adjusted the wave panels to fit. I went stash diving for the butterfly designer paper. The stamped butterflies were coloured to match the background paper. I made this card for a fun butterfly swap. Inspired by Sam Calcutt tutorial.

Star gazing

I had a lot of fun, creating this version of a star card.
I watched several tutorials from several sites and they all seem to follow the same pattern.
The base card measures 5x5 inches. For the star panel I cut 6 pieces 1/4 x 5 inches and scored at 1,2,3,4. I attached them to the left side of the card base to create the star. I them cut 12 pieces to size and dry embossed them with a star embossing folder, I then sanded the card to reveal the white core. I the created the mat layers to fit on the right side and stamp and coloured it to match the theme.

True loves kiss

I made this card for a Disney themed wedding. I used a page out of the DCWV designer paper pack, Once upon a time.
I wanted to highlight the words in the designer paper and used the arch pop-up die set from Karen Burniston to create a pop up arch of love hearts over the wedding couple.

On the front I added the die cut carriage, and on the back I added an envelope a place to give money.

Supplies :
Karen Burniston: 1308 Arch pop-up, 1193 Heart Collage pop-up
Tonic studio die - horse and carriage
Stamps- The rabbit hole designs

Bendy shadow box card

This card was inspired a tutorial from Sam Calcott on her Mixed-up craft page. It is called a bendy shadow box card.
I think I made my first shadow box card probably more that 15 years ago, so it was fun revisiting the design with the added bendy piece.
Since the snowman set was on my desk, it was calling me to use it again.
The card fold flat for postage.

Double Concertina Stepper Card

I am calling this, an inspiration card as it is a birthday card for a friend who enjoys owls. The gorgeous owl is Gus from Lavinia Stamps. He is rather large, so he fills the card. I have used copic pens to colour him in. I went with a showstopper card style for inspiration from Sam Calcott - Made to Surprise - Double Concertina Stepper card

The card fold into a 5 x 7 envelope for postage. It is rather thick so you will need extra stamps for postage.

Thanks for stopping by.

Embossed shell shaker card

I use the embossing folder to create the shell background. The embossing folder has a die in it to cut the Apture around the embossed shells at the same time as the embossing.  I sponged the embossed areas with the distress inks Mustard seed, rusty hinge, peacock feathers. Once that ink was dry I went over the raise areas with black ink. Behind the Apture space I added some acetate and using the piece cut out for the background part of the shaker card.

Congratulations Mr & Mrs

I made this card for a recent wedding, where the gifts were for a wishing well, so I made the card which was a bit dimensional for an envelope, so I made a gift box for it.
I made the front using die cuts and stamps from The Rabbit Hole Designs that I had in my stash for several years.

On the inside I created a pop up wedding cake using Karen Burniston’s 1028 Cake Pop up. I added a golf ribbon bow to the top of the card and added gold die cut bows to the cake using the KB 1183 Little Labels pop - up bow.

I then added the die cut sentiment K B 1032 Happily Ever After inside so that you could see it when it was displayed when it is open.

I added a place to sign on the back of the card along with the sentiment and a envelope to hold the cash gift.

Thanks for looking.

Class Tutorial September 2024

For my card today I decided to follow along with Karen Burniston’s September Class Virtual Tutorial.

It was great to follow along with Karen and pause when I needed to. It is also great to learn other ways to use her creative dies.

I chose some scrap designer paper that I had in my stash for this first attempt of this card. I just put the surprise sentiment inside as I think this could be a fun birthday card adding it to my stash of cards.

Just a close up of the inside put out.

Thanks for looking.

1277 - boat pop up
1278 - sail boat add on
1279 - set sail boarder
A circle, oval and rectangle dies from my stash of dies from various companies.
The designer paper is from a 6x6 Kaisercraft paper pack.

Just a not to say

I couldn't wait to try the new release dies from Karen Burniston designs from the new release.
I loved the Lorna label when it was previously released, and these add ons are just fabulous.
The piano keys add such a fun element to any card. The used the colours from the designer paper for the theme, to keep the colour scheme I added pink keys instead of black.

 Supplies:
Karen Burniston dies:
1266 - Lorna Label pop-up
1276 - Happy Birthday add on
1275 - Just a note add on
1274 - Piano keys pop-up

Tri Fold Robot Dog

I die cut the panels and the layers that came with this die set.
On the top layer instead of designer paper I embossed it with an embossing folder, I then took an ink pad and lightly rubbed it over the embossed areas.

I then stamped the robot dogs and coloured them and popped them on foam tape to add dimension to the card.

 Supplies
Stampendous - Robot dogs.
Cuttlebug - Clockworks embossing folder
Unknown - tri fold die set.
