Best Witches

This is my card for the Crazy4Challenges blog design team challenge.

For this week, make a card or other project using pumpkins or gourds in any colours EXCEPT yellow or orange.

I found this pretty designer paper book in the local craft store. It had a page of  pumpkins is all colours, a tick for this challenge. I have used Karen Burniston dies for the tree and the hills. The stamp is an old one from La La Land stamps.

Black Cat Awareness

Today is challenge day with the CCEE Stampers blog design team.

October is Black Cat Awareness month, incorporate a cat of any color on your card this week.

Earlier this month I saw the video tutorial by Eileen Godwin using Lavinia Stamps and stencils. I love the Lavinia stamps range but I didn't have any of their stencils, so I gave it a try with a stencil I did have.
I used distress oxide inks in, dried marigold, tumbled glass, antique linen, weathered wood, to create the background. I used my misti platform to position, Mooch the cat and Tree Goddess Luna and stamping them with jet black ink.
I love the way this turned out and can't wait to play with some more with stencils.

Copper Haunting Highlights

This card is for the Crazy4Challenges design team challenge.

Create your card using copper accents. Maybe some copper embossing, mirror cardstock, metal embellishments like paperclips, brads, sequins, eyelets or gems.

I have been playing with my glass mat and distress oxide ink pads to create this background for this card. After I was happy with the pattern I added some copper paint speckling with a wet paint brush. I then stamped the tree branch. Using the Lawn Fawn build a house die, and cut it out of stone designer paper and decorated it with the Halloween add on. I also added the copper paint to highlight the black card to look like timber embellishments. I then added the ghosts, bat and spider.

3D cube pop up box card

Welcome to my challenge card for the challenge on the CCEE Stampers blog.
Today we are asked to a card with more than 1 Fold.

Create a card that has more than one fold … Gatefold, Z Fold Card, Easel card etc.

I came across this type of card while I was looking on Pinterest. It has different names depending on where you look, 3D cube pop up box, mini cube card, triple popup, mini cube card, whatever the name they are really fun to make.

I made the card in white card and decorated it with designer paper. I then used the Lawn Fawn Snow globe scene stamps and dies. I added them to a circle die cut out of glitter card to create the snow scene.

The card folds flat for posting and you can write your message on the underside.

Festive Sketch

Join the team on the Crazy 4 Challenges blog for this week's sketch challenge.

Our sketch challenge is a circle card, which is a bit of a challenge itself, but having the layout ideas makes it easy.
For the inside of my card I used die elements to create a scene, but I wanted to add some more and had made a pop up box to add some pop up trees into the design.

Supplies:
Kaisercraft designer paper, Karen Burniston dies - 1018 winter charms, 1045 outdoor scenes
Large circle die, stitch square die

Artist's tools

It is time to join the design team on the CCEE Stampers Blog for this week's challenge.

Tomorrow is Dictionary Day. For our challenge this week, create a card that includes words on your card. Maybe a scripty word background either stamped or using patterned papers, large focal sentiment, Speech bubbles with words inside etc.

I made this card using the Black ice technique. It looks really nice is real life but it is a bugger to photograph.

Using foil card, I stamped the image and heat embossed it. I the added some swipes of stazon ink and heat set it. I then added versamark ink and embossing powder and heated it. For the background the image several times with black ink.

Travel Collage

My card today is for a travel theme swap, since we are unable to travel in real time, we are travelling through our art.

The center panel of my card is a artist trading card real rubber stamp that I have had for years. I heat embossed the image and water coloured the image with distress oxide inks. I then sponged the edges of the designer paper before assembling the card.

Thanks for looking today.......

Baby Treasure

This week on the Crazy 4 Challenges blog, our challenge is to make a baby card with fall colours.

Let’s make a baby card. Apparently we are expecting a baby explosion after the quarantine months so we are likely to need them! As a fall bonus, use fall colours or woodland creatures on your card.

I made my card base using a step die. The monkey is a sticker that is coloured with copic marker over micro fine glitter.

Supplies
Cherry Lynn step die, Karen Burniston -sentiment dies
copic markers, Elizabeth Craft Designs - micro fine glitter and sticker sheet. designer paper

Ink Thumping

Hi Crafting friends,

I made this card for a recent swap challenge it was called ink thumping. Although I have been a card maker for over 20 years I have never tried this technique.
Thank goodness for google search, obviously it is an old technique as it uses water based ink pens, which I used to have for colouring but now have alcohol makers for my colouring.
I actually have used distress inks for my thumping, I thumped or more the lighter coloured ink onto the stamp and while it was still wet I added the darker colour before stamping it onto my card. You can notice it more of the green stem that the flower. It was a fun way to add layers of colour to your stamped images.

Mad Hatters Day

Welcome to today's card for the CCEE Stampers design blog challenge. This month we are welcoming two new design team members. Manal and Hazel welcome to the team.

Apparently the 6th October is Mad Hatter Day, so for our challenge this week, create a card inspired by the theme … Hats, Alice In Wonderland, Mad Hatter etc.

I didn't have anything in the Alice and Wonderland theme, so I just went with the white rabbit. It has been sometime since I have made a card using stickers and micro-fine glitter. To create the card I covered white card stock with double sided tape, then peel off the backing sheet. I then peeled off the sticker and attached it to the tape sticky sides together, being careful not to touch the sticky side using the release paper rub the sticker into the card. I then poured micro-fine glitter all over the image and it adhered to the area around the sticker. I then burnished the glitter into the card before colouring with copic markers.
