The week for our challenge on the Crazy4Challenge Blog we are using flowers.
One of the ways people decorate for Christmas is with flowers and/or foliage … the most popular being Poinsettias; Holly; Ivy and Mistletoe. For our challenge this week create a card using something flower or foliage related.
I created the background for my card using the concord & 9th Holly Berry turnabout stamp set with various inks.
I heat embossed the sentiments and attached the store bought flowers from my stash.
Today is the week 4 challenge on the Crazy4Challenges blog.
Last Monday was Go For A Ride Day. For our challenge this week, create a card that features something you might ride on … car, bus, bike, truck, horse etc.
It is time to for this weeks challenge on the Crazy4challenge blog. Design team member Frances has asked that we make a card with die cuts only.
Create a card that is created using dies only, no stamps. If you must, you can use a stamp for the sentiment, but bonus points if you use dies.
It is challenge time with the crazies on the Crazy4challenges blog. This month we have been challenged by Frances.
Create a card that features a house/house or any element you might find on a house … door, window, roof etc.
Hi Crafting Friends
It is time for the last challenge of the month with the team on Crazy4Challenges.
Let’s add some texture with a dimensional liquid or paste element on your card. Some examples are texture, crackle, molding or embossing paste, glass bead gel, Liquid Pearls, Nuvo Mousse, Nuvo drops, Crystal Glaze or Glossy Accents (used dimensionally rather than as a glue).
I created the back ground using the brick stencil and sponging on various inks, while the stencil was in place I added transparent matte texture paste in certain places for a distressed wall.
While it was drying I assembled the die cut elements. Once the background was dry I added the die cut elements to make a scene.
Don't forget to check out the rest of the “Crazies” cards over on the Crazy 4 Challenges blog and also their individual blogs for more details.
Thanks for Looking ........
Welcome to another challenge week with crazies team on Crazy4Challenges.
This week use vellum or acetate on your card
I have adhered a serviette onto white card stock to create the background. I then cut a piece of acetate to size, I then stamped the Stampendous image with stazon ink. Once it dried I attached it over the serviette with brads before adding it to the base card.
It is week 3 and time for the sketch challenge on Crazy4Challenges blog.
I started with designer paper for the background and added the Lawn Fawn cup die and added the die cut banners.
Today's card is made for the challenge on crazy4challenges blog.
Create a project using only white, ivory and gold. Sounds intimidating? Use different textures and finishes of paper to make your layers stand out. I like to use glitter and metallic papers with texture from stenciling with pastes and embossing folders.
It is time to join the team on Crazy4Challenge for their challenge C4C604.
Be
inspired by your favourite song to create your project. Please be sure to list
the song with your entry. You can be inspired by the title, the lyrics, the
overall theme or genre of the song.
My chosen song is Cover me in Sunshine by Pink and Willow. It is such a lovely song and they seem to have so much fun making the film clip.
I created my card with the Lavinia stamps Fairy having music fun in the sunshine.
Our challenge on the Crazy4Challenges blog is to create a monochrome card - any color!
For my card I used a technique that I had learnt many years ago called serendipity. Over a piece of cardstock you glue pieces of torn paper of different textures, adding heat embossing and glitter as you go. Normally you would just cut up the panel and re-arrange it for a background, but since then, dies have come of age so I have used a background die to cut up the card panel, re-arranging the pieces.
I then added the die cut flowers and leaves and the sentiment and some pearls.
Today is sketch challenge day on Crazy4Challenges blog.
I had this sheet of die cut paper toil panels that I picked up from a discount store sometime ago in my supplies. I thought it was about time that I used them. The card is a bit bigger that normal so it would be mailed for double postage.
My card today is for the challenge C4C601 on the Crazy4Challenges blog.
Let's do flowers! Make them or color them and use them on your project!
Today the on Crazy4Challenges Blog. Hostess Karen has issued us this challenge.
September is my birth month. To start my birthday month celebration, make a birthday card with some dark blue - as my birthstone is the sapphire
I have made my card with designer paper, often in the paper packs there are decorated sentiment pieces that you can cut out.
I used the Rockin Rectangle die to make the card base. The front of the card is clear using a piece of acetate so that you can see the designer panel.
This week on Crazy4Challenges we have been asked to create a card with the Farmers Market in mind.
What’s in season to eat at your farmers market? Make a card inspired by your local harvest.
Even if it’s 6 months ago for the Southern Hemisphere. You can but don’t necessarily have
to use the actual fruit or veg. You can just use the colours or textures. Like pink and green
or pink with black dots for watermelon. Yellow plaid or use a square stencil for corn etc.
I have had this image for awhile but it is a favourite. I stamped the image and coloured it and stencilled the background. I have used the Cherry Lyn step die to create the base card and it has extra dies to cut the designer paper panels.
Today on the Crazy 4 Challenges blog the challenge C4C596 is to make a card with sunrays.
It’s the peak of summer in the northern hemisphere so sun’s rays beats down on us. Make a card or other project using rays but they don’t just have to be from the sun! Any ray shapes on your project are fine.
It is the middle of winter here and I am so looking forward to spring. I have used Lavinia stamps for my inspiration. I used the Honey Bee Ocean Builder stencil, using the rays for a on land theme in earth tones. I then stamped the Lavinia Stamp - Moments like these in black ink and heat embossed it. I then added the leaf and sentiment images around the edges and sponged the edges.
Today is the challenge C4C595 on the Crazy 4 Challenges blog.
Just like Slimline Cards, Mini Slimline Cards are also becoming very popular, for our challenge this week create a Mini Slimline card. Typically Mini Slim Line Cards are either 3 1/2 inches x 6 inches or 3 inches x 6 inches.
Today on the Crazy 4 Challenges blog is the C4C594 challenge.
Tomorrow will be Thread the Needle Day. For our challenge this week incorporate the theme "Sewing" into our cards. Use sewing theme images/words; Sewing themed patterned papers or actually sewing of any type on your cards.
I use the quilted backdrop die with some designer paper for the background. I found this die in my stash, when this die first came out it had some matching bead stickers. I stamped the image onto the background and onto white card, after colouring it in, I cut it out and using foam tape squares I placed it over the background one.
