Tri-folded beach scene

Hi Everyone,

It is time to join the Crazies on Crazy for Challenges. Joanne has her last challenge for the month.

I love the ocean (thus the name of my blog).
Spending time there brings me peace and joy.

Make a card depicting the type of place that brings you peace and joy.

I also like to spend time at the seaside so for my card this week I decided to make a tri- fold card using the Tryfolds beach set from Art Impressions.
It was quite fun to make and all the measurements are on the back of the packaging, they were easy to follow and I love the sentiment included.
" May your life be filled with blessings as countless as the grains of sand"

I have used the stage it stencil Partly Cloudy designed by  Karen Burniston  for Elizabeth Craft Designs, along with sponging distressed inks to create a scene.

Many thanks to Alexis for her guest designs this month.

C4C346 Picnic

It is time for another challenge with my friends on  Crazy4Challenges.

July is National Hot Dog Month, probably due to the number of picnics that occur at this time of year.  Let’s have a picnic ‘connection’ on our cards this week.

It doesn't take very long for an unattended picnic basket to attract the local wildlife around here.

My card today is completely made with die cut pieces.
Supplies from
Elizabeth Craft Designs
Stitched rectangle
Dotted scallop rectangle
Cottage Cutz -  Crows,Picnic Basket,Snack Cart.

Ahoy

This week I got together with a couple of friends, when we meet up each month we shop at our favourite craft shop and challenge ourselves to make a card with our purchases. Sadly the shop is now a online store only so there wasn't a shopping trip this month.
Our challenge for last month was to use the last new release items from Eliszabth Craft Designs that we could purchase in store.

I needed a birthday card for my husband and since we will be whale watching off the coast for his birthday, I went with a nautical theme.

CCEE1629 beaches

Challenge day with my friends on CCEE Stampers
Joanne has our third CCEE Stampers Challenge for July.....

For those of us in the Northern Hemisphere,
is one of our warmest months.
When I think of hot days, I think of the beach.
Let’s create cards that honor beaches in some way.

Even in winter in Australia, along the south east coast, it is wonderful to walk along the beach. You never know what treasures you will find. I recently spent my holidays at the seaside and every day I walked along the beach. One day a huge shell washed up on the shore, when I had a closer look it had a baby octopus inside, it was quite entertaining watching the octopus get the shell back into the water. Also June to October is whale watching season and I could sit up at the headlands and watch the whales for hours, it is so peaceful.

For my card today I dusted off some wood mounted stamps, the main image is from Stampshappen and the verse from Lucy's stamps and the background ones are red rubber ones from Stampscapes.

Life's rules

Hello!
It is challenge day with my friends on Crazy 4 Challenges and  hostess Joanne is here with the week's challenge.....

July 11 is Cheer Up the Lonely Day.  Let’s create cards of encouragement.

For my card I chose this lovely sentiment stamp from Verses called Life's Rules. I also had another day playing with some new products from Elizabeth Craft Designs. Els has released some new silk Micro fine glitter colours this month  and I have used  2 new colours, Bright Cranberry and Light Brass also basic black. I have used the polishing technique to apply the glitter to my elements. The Victorian Flower and Victorian Flower overlay 1  is made with glitter and fire opal gemstone shimmer sheetz.
New products for me to use was the soft finish dove gray card stock,  designer paper through the lens stone , Berry BranchFitted frames 5 lace circles .

There has been some changes to the line up of designers on Crazy 4 Challenges since I last played, we have said good bye to Peggy and Jen, all the best on their new adventures. Welcome to Cas Counsell and Tammy Hershberger to the team.

Summer Love

On CCEE Stampers we have Joanne as hostess and this is her challenge for today.

July is National Ice Cream month.  We have some great sources for fresh creamy ice cream
in our area, and I am sure that is true of the places where you live.
Let’s celebrate by having ice cream in some form on our cards.

I have a few stamp choices for this theme but I couldn't go past this Mo Manning design by Penny Black titled Summer Love, who hasn't shared some ice-cream with some one you love.

I also had the chance to play with some Elizabeth Craft Designs dies.
Karen Burniston designs - Accordion Rectangle - Oval Pull Card Stamps -  Just a Note
Joset Designs - Ice cream cone

C4C343 lighthouse

Welcome to another challenge day with my friends on Crazy 4 Challenges.
This month Hostess Joanne welcomes her guest designer Alexis Crossland-Smith.
Joanne says "I have just returned from my annual trip to Maine. One of my favorite places on Earth is Nubble Light, a beautiful lighthouse in York, Maine. I could sit there for hours looking at and listening to the ocean. This week, let’s honor lighthouses on our cards. If for some reason you do not have a lighthouse image, then create an ocean scene."

For my base card I chose to use the Oval Pull Card designed by Karen Burniston for Elizabeth Craft Designs. The designer paper and stamp sets are from Couture Creations sea breeze collection.
