Floating Paper strips and die cuts
I created the background for the card using various strips of card stock strips, gluing them onto a acetate die cut circle. Then attaching the circle to the card with foam tape, making to circle to look like it is floating. I then added a die cut leaf in green and black for a shadow look.

Glitter frame
This was the trail card for a glitter challenge, I used the dragonfly delight keepsake frames from Tonic Studio. While it fit the challenge fine, I finally chose a different card and am happy to add this to my card stash.

Half hexagon box pop up card
This was my first interpretation of the of the Half Hexagon pop up box card (non-floating). There are many online tutorials for this design. I watched a few before making this in a 5 x7 portrait style. I used two panels of die cut flowers, when glued together they were rather heavy.

Blackout Embossing
For this card I have tried the Blackout Embossing technique. I used kraft card stock and embossed the card. Then on the de-embossed side I rubbed over the card with a black inkpad, leaving the de-embossed area the Kraft card colour and the raised area dark resembling a suede look. I then added the ribbon, sentiment and die cut daisy flower.

I will bring you strength
Hi crafting friends
Today it is challenge day with my friends on the CCEE Stampers challenge blog. Lynn is our hostess for the month.
In the United States, today is National Bring Your Bible to School Day. For that reason, our challenge for this week is quite simple: use a Bible scripture as the sentiment on the front of your card design.
I didn't have many religious stamp sets for this challenge but I picked up this set from a craft sale. I die cut the rose 3 times with different colours and I then used the inlay technique for the flower.

Just a note with foil
My card today is for the challenge on CCEE Stampers blog, where hostess Frances asks us to try a technique.
A few months ago, Jennifer McGuire shared a technique using embossing folders. Let’s give it a try. You can find Jennifer's tutorial here.
I have used copper foil card stock for the base card and Couture creations - Drifting Endless embossing folder. I added distress inks to highlight the areas after sanding. I then used the same inks to colour a piece of card before die cutting the sentiment. I die cut a circle panel using Sunny Studios - fancy frames and the inlaid them together to create the background for the sentiment. I the added an extra sentiment from Mama Elephant - cherry blossom branch stamp set.

Spring Butterflies
Hi everyone,
It's a brand new month on the CCEE Stampers blog. Which means our new challenge hostess for the month is Frances
Just like Slimline & Mini Slimline cards, the 5 x 7 inch card size is becoming more and more popular. For this week’s challenge create a 5 x 7 inch card.
I haven't really thought about making 5 x7 cards before, but they are an ideal size for showing off designer paper backgrounds.
I like this bright designer paper is super paper for a spring card, so I added some die cut butterflies for the theme and a die cut sentiment for a fun card.

Faux embroidery
I have used the Lawn Fawn stitched quilted background die with some designer paper as the background. I added the faux stitched circle and added the embroidery thread under the circle, I then added the die cut butterfly and the die cut sentiment pieces.

So many reasons
Good Morning Crafting Friends.
I thought I would share the card I made for my daughter's birthday.
I recently picked up this Sizzix die set on sale and I liked the idea of the thin frames to showcase the sentiment verse that came out of a designer paper pack. I made the flowers and leaves with some coordinating card stock and papers.

Music Month
This is my card for challenge CCEE2139 on the CCEE Stampers Blog.
September is also Classical Music Month. Create a card with a musical theme. It doesn’t have to be classical music. It could be Jazz, Country, Rock ‘n Roll – anything musical, even a musical instrument.
I have created my scene with dies and the little music critters.
