C4C321 - G'day from downunder

G'day Mate,
hmm..... not words that I use very often although my Mother in law does, it must have something to do with living out in the country.

Frances is back with her last challenge for the month, wow hasn't that month flown by.

The 26th January was Australia Day, as I live in the "land down under", lets celebrate with a Down Under Challenge. Create a card with something down under, it could be under the sea, or a tree or underground, under an umbrella or even from down under in the world.

As I live in Australia too, not far from Frances in fact, I just had to use some Australian themed stamps and dies from Ultimate crafts.
On the inside I made a double pop up and just had to use my favourite pop up die designed by Karen Burniston for Elizabeth craft designs.

I wanted to keep the Monochromatic theme of the designer paper for the whole card, so used die cut pieces and sponged them with black soot while the die was in place. I then cut another cockatoo in black card to shadow the white piece.

Here is a side view of the double pop up platform.

Supplies:
Ultimate Crafts Australiana collection
Gumtree and outback fence
Barbed wire fence
Eucalyptus Blossom
Cockatoo in the wild
Australian map
Small grass tree
Kangaroo
Stamps: G'day Mate and Red Centre
Elizabeth Craft designs
Lorna label pop up

C4C320 - Pop Music

Hi everyone,

Hostess Frances is back with another challenge at Crazy 4 Challenges.

The 19th January was National Popcorn Day, so let's add some 'POP' to our cards be it by creating a card that includes the theme popcorn; creating a Pop Up Card; just Popping up your image using foam tape or just adding a Pop of color to a black white card.

For my card I chose to make a pop up using Lots of pop die designed by Karen Burniston for Elizabeth Craft Designs.
What I like about this die is that you can match it with anything that you have in your supplies, I chose the Juke Box and Music dies from Sizzix with DCWV designer paper.

On the front I added some different designer paper and Quietfire words by Suzanne Cannon for Elizabeth Craft Designs.

Ebony and Ivory

It is challenge day with my friends as the CCEE Stampers Blog.
Frances brings us this weeks challenge.

Did you know that the 25th January is National Opposite Day?  For our challenge this week make a card/project that has opposites on it. Think opposite colors on the color wheel, stripes and polka dots, black and white, mirror image, etc.

I chose the colours Ebony and Ivory and they just happen to be stripes and polka dots too.
I stamped the dress 3 times and fussy cut them and layered each layer with foam dots.

I used the Base die, the front panel die and the insert panel die from the Center step die set.
Here is the side view showing the layers.

I have combined this card with the challenge I do with my Friends each month. Our challenge was to use something new. The dress and the verses were inked for the first time.

Supplies:
Cheery Lynn Center Step die, spellbinders die.
Stampendous -Tiered dress
Verses - Good Friends, Fashionably late.
Ribbon, copic pens, gemstones, foam dots, DCWV La Creme Stack, Antique Linen distressed ink.

Fancy a cup of tea?

Welcome to my first CCEE challenge post for 2016.

Our hostess Frances says:

Apparently according to the days of the year web site, January is hot tea month. Let's see your 'Tea' themed cards for this week's challenge.

For my card I thought it is a new year so I thought I would play with some new products that I received for Christmas.
The gift card accordion and the gift card flourish dies, designed by Karen Burniston for Elizabeth Craft designs.

All my stamped images are from Taylored Expressions -( in other words tea)

Snow Bird z fold

Welcome to my first blog post of 2016.

Today I have some exciting news, I have joined the design team on Crazy 4 Challenges.
We are a group of 12 gals that are crazy for stamping and challenges. When we aren't with our families you can find us all stamping up a storm. Each Saturday we will be posting a new challenge along with the samples from our design team. We hope you are able to play along too!

Our hostess for January is Frances Byrne.

Apparently yesterday was Z Day. Let's celebrate by including something starting with the letter Z on our cards.  You could make a Z Fold Card, use a zip or zip image, zinnia, zebra, zoo etc. Let's show the letter Z how much we love it!

For my card I chose to make a z fold card.
Using a 12" x 5" base card, scored a 3" and 6" to make a mountain and a valley fold. I then cut the designer paper to fit each panel. The main image is the snow bird from Stampendous. I have used the leaf stand up helper from Elizabeth Craft Designs to add a tab on the right side of the card so the card can be held closed and as an embellishment on the other side.

Inside a birthday message. ( Verses rubber stamps)

A view from the top to shoe the z fold.
