Flower paper strips

 Hello,

Today I am sharing the card that I have made for a paper strip challenge.
I started with 1cm paper strip scraps in 2 different shades of pink and one of white. Linning them into rows, I then stamped, and heat embossed a background stamp. Attaching the strips to the card base with foam tape adding the die cut flowers, and finally the sentiment.

Thanks for looking,
Have a great day,
Maryann

Adventure Balloons

Today I am sharing the card that I made for a balloon challenge. I guess I could have gone with party balloons, but I rather like the idea of hot air balloons. It has been some time since I have played with these dies.

I have created a slimline card with a designer paper background. After assembling the balloons, I added them to the front of the card with foam tape.
On the inside I added two panels of designer paper and created a box pop up, for the sentiment.

 Thanks for looking,

Butterfly bunting

Hi Crafting Friends,

I recently joined a challenge to use scrap paper. This is what I came up with, using a fishtail banner die I made a bunting strip out of scrap paper. I heat embossed the butterfly with black embossing powder and die cut it and coloured it with copic pens. I added a black strip to the top of the bunting and added the gemstones.

Artist's tools

It is time to join the design team on the CCEE Stampers Blog for this week's challenge.

Tomorrow is Dictionary Day. For our challenge this week, create a card that includes words on your card. Maybe a scripty word background either stamped or using patterned papers, large focal sentiment, Speech bubbles with words inside etc.

I made this card using the Black ice technique. It looks really nice is real life but it is a bugger to photograph.

Using foil card, I stamped the image and heat embossed it. I the added some swipes of stazon ink and heat set it. I then added versamark ink and embossing powder and heated it. For the background the image several times with black ink.

Travel Collage

My card today is for a travel theme swap, since we are unable to travel in real time, we are travelling through our art.

The center panel of my card is a artist trading card real rubber stamp that I have had for years. I heat embossed the image and water coloured the image with distress oxide inks. I then sponged the edges of the designer paper before assembling the card.

Ink Thumping

Hi Crafting friends,

I made this card for a recent swap challenge it was called ink thumping. Although I have been a card maker for over 20 years I have never tried this technique.
Thank goodness for google search, obviously it is an old technique as it uses water based ink pens, which I used to have for colouring but now have alcohol makers for my colouring.
I actually have used distress inks for my thumping, I thumped or more the lighter coloured ink onto the stamp and while it was still wet I added the darker colour before stamping it onto my card. You can notice it more of the green stem that the flower. It was a fun way to add layers of colour to your stamped images.

Timeless Owl

Hi Crafting friends

This week on Crazy4Challenges blog, we have been asked to make a card with a collage theme.

Make a background from various different paper

elements or use a paper that already looks like a collage.

My colour scheme was inspired by the designer paper. I chose the timepiece die pieces to match the owl and carried the theme into the inside of the card.

Napkin Art

Hi Crafting friends,

I am revisiting a technique that I haven't done for many years. I created the card with this background using a serviette.

Our challenge on CCEE Stampers blog was to celebrate World Creativity day with having fun being creative.

I have used Tim Holtz distress oxide collage matt medium to attach the serviette to the card base and left it to dry.
One it dried I stamped a large text background stamp with distress oxide ink and left it to dry while I worked on the embellishment.
I used the Eiffel tower die cut 3 times in black card stock, layering the together, on the final layer I added some gilding wax in bronze to add some aging.
I then heat embossed the Paris text in black and stamped the other in black ink also, onto the serviette background before adding it to the card base.
Finally I attached the Eiffel Tower.

Serendipity

My card today is for the sketch challenge with the Crazy4challenges team. It is the 3rd week of the month that means it is a sketch challenge.

I took a step back in time for the creativity for this card and made a serendipity background. Using inks, embossing powder and stamps.

To create the background I blended the distress oxide inks, sprayed on water to activate it, then heat set it. I then added versemark ink and sprinkled on various colours of embossing powder. I then white heat embossed the stamped images before cutting up the card. The larger background was done using the distress oxide inks but instead of using the embossing powders I used a bit of smooch spray in green.

I placed the stencil off to one side and sponged the ink through the stencil in various colours. I then added embossing ink and embossed the leaves for dimension. I die cut some leaves and added them along with the sentiment to the card.

Supplies:
Altenew stencil, ECD leaf dies, distress oxide inks, embossing powder.

Layered spotlighting Wetlands

Hello there, it is time for another challenge with the CCEE Stampers team.

July 12 has been declared National Simplicity Day in honor of Henry David Thoreau who was a devoted advocate of living a life of simplicity. So on this lazy day of summer it's time to simplify. My challenge to you is to create a clean and simple one layer card!

I saw this technique some time ago and put it on my to do list. It is called Layered spotlighting, using a single piece of card, some stamps, a die and some sponging and a piece of art is created.

Take a look at Theresa Momber's utube video here.

Love

Hello friends!
Welcome to CCEE Stampers challenge, Kelly has issued the challenge this week.

It's almost Valentine's Day, so this week, instead of making  a traditional Valentine's Day card,
we're making cards showing something we love ♥

I love Karen Burniston designs, since I started following Karen, she has worked with different companies so I have used die sets from each, Sizzix, Elizabeth Craft Designs and her own Label Karen Burniston.

My base card is made with the Sizzix Card square w/ornate edge pop up, Pop n cuts insert, Love set.
The flowers and leaves are from the Elizabeth Craft Designs Flower Pot pot stand set. The labels and small blue hearts are from the current Katherine Label pop- up set.
I also added Nuvo drops for flourishes and flower centers. The sentiment is from My Favorite Things set - Flamazing

Welcome spring

This is a card I made to welcome the spring, although I think we have missed spring and headed into summer, it is sure going to be a hot season.

I love Penny Black stamps they are so cute, this image titiled "You are the bestest "is just that. The image is crisp and easy to stamp and a pleasure to colour. I have finished the card off with some My Favorite things die-namics.

Two Peas

Supplies
MFT die-namics blueprints 5, brackets edge die-namic. Art Impressions Laughing set, copic pens, foam dots, ds tape.

This card has been sent out for the Boomerang Stampers List special sister challenge.
