A Baby Shower

Today I am sharing this baby shower card. This cute baby is a Mo Manning cling stamp made by Penny Black. I pop it out on a Lorna label pop up die from Elizabeth craft designs.
The stars on the bottom is a tonic die and the verse is from verses rubber stamps.

Happy Birthday Harry

For our Challenge today on CCEE Stampers, hostess Lynn has given us a triva challenge.
You may or may not know that July 31 is the day that both Harry Potter and his creator, J. K. Rowling celebrate their birthdays. Today the challenge is to create a card or project that honors the remarkable literary character, Harry Potter.

When I think of Harry Potter, it takes me back to the first book in the series that I had read.
When my daughter did speech and drama she did an impromptu reading, a section of Harry Potter and the chamber of secrets. A book that we had never heard of but it had sparked the interest to discover them.
I used stampendous Pop up Forest stamp and die sets to create a Whomping willow with Hedwig hiding in the foliage

I made the center into a pop up card using the Lucy Label pop up die, Designed by Karen Burniston for Elizabeth Craft Designs. I had found this designer paper in my supplies and it looked like it could be in the forbidden forest. I used the foliage stamps and turned them into a bush with Hedwig hiding again.

Join us at CCEE Stampers to see what the others have made. I know I am looking forward to seeing their creations.

Bokeh Background

For this week's CCEE Challenge, Lynn asks us to featuring the background technique known as watercolor bokeh. The word bokeh is a photography term which describes the way a camera lens creates out-of-focus points of light.

I created my background using Distressed inks - Squeezed Lemon, Spiced Marmalade, Picked Raspberry. I then used my circle dies to cut a stencil out of acetate and sponged white circles over the background to achieve the desired effect, you may have to repeat the white layers depending on how wet or dry your ink pads are.
I wanted the background to be the focal point so I just added some die cut words with a black shadow (achieved by cutting one in pink and in black and just putting them together.)

I hope you join us at CCEE Stampers for this fun technique.

CCEE1529 Under the sea

Challenge day on CCEE Stampers blog today our hostess Lynn is in Texas USA is looking for ways to keep cool and has asked us to create an under water themed card.
It was a challenge to make with card with my frosted fingers haha. We are have a bit of a cold snap, although the weather forecasters are calling it a winter vortex. Our usual sunny winter weather is frosty with some snow falls in the lower heights of our southern states. It is very rare for us to have snow except for the highest mountain peaks.

For my card I used the Circle accordion die, designed by Karen Burniston for Elizabeth Craft Designs.

Here is the card flat out, it is easier to decorate all the panels before joining them. I created the background colours using a solid stamp and chalk ink pads.

Here is the card all joined together.

The reeds on the bottom edges were create using the All seasons tree die, I have also used pieces from other die sets.

Supplies:
Stamps-  Stampin Up - Whale Wishes

I hope you have time to join the CCEE Stampers team in this challenge.

CCEE1528 Friendship

Please join us at CCEE Stampers in bringing joy and happiness to someone you know who needs it. Tomorrow is national Cheer Up the Lonely Day so Lynn is challenging us this week to create a card of friendship and encouragement to mail to someone you know who lives alone.

My card today was made using the rectangle pull card die by Karen Burniston for Elizabeth Craft designs. I have turned the card on its side to create an easel card. I have made two die cut flowers with a glittered overlay using the Victorian flowers die. The green leaves are branches from the all seasons tree die.

When the is opened it reveals a cute little mouse giving flowers.

Supplies
Elizabeth Craft Designs: Rectangle pull die, Victorian flower set1, Victorian overlay set 1, gems stones, All seasons tree die, micro fine glitter.

CCEE1527 Celebrate Another Day

This week my American CCEE Stampers friends will be celebrating July 4th and Lynn has asked us to share how we will celebrate it. Because I live in Australia I won't celebrate it but it is winter holiday season for me and I will be spending the day at the beach.
I found this house mouse image coloured and waiting in my supplies (when on holidays I take some stamped images and pens as space is limited) I love this image although I won't be needing ice cube at this time of the year, well maybe just a few in some drinks.

The designer paper that I have used was a 12 x 12 sheet with a beautiful beach scene, much too large for a card. But I wanted to use it all so I made a 6 x 6 card and using the left over pieces and Elizabeth creaft designs beach edges die to create several layers.

I hope everyone enjoys their holidays
