Colour inspiration

 Hi Crafting Friends

My card today is for the Colour Inspiration C4C581 on the Crazy 4 Challenges blog.

Hostess Nicky Foden has decided this last challenge would be an inspiration challenge.

This piece of art has been hanging at work and it’s been calling to me for a while. Use it as inspiration to make a card. Take a minute to zoom in as there are a lot of colours that aren’t as noticeable at first glance.

When I first saw this piece, I looked at it and wrote down the colours that popped into my mind, Black, Yellow, grey, purple, gold and a bit of blue.

I recently did a star gazing evening and thought that I would use some distress oxide ink to create a night sky.

I made this a slimline card with dies so I could create a scene with the stamped images.

Supplies
Distress Oxide inks - several colours blended until I was happy with the look.
 Avery Elle stamp set astronauts
 Karen Burniston Long rectangles dies

In the sky

Hi Crafting friends,

My card today is made for the CCEE2115 challenge with the CCEE Stampers blog team.

Yesterday was Look up at the sky day, so for our challenge this week include the sky on your card.

I started out, with stamping and heat embossing the star and sentiment from the Hero Arts stamps set Lucky Star. I then created the early evening night sky with a blending of distress oxide inks, seedless preserves, broken china, salty ocean, chipped sapphire. I blended in the hill side with pumice stone and brushed corduroy.

I then cut out the girl and boy image and mounted them with foam tape.

Sisters

Hi Crafting Friends,

This is my card I have made for the Crazy 4 Challenges design team challenge C4C579.

Today is Sibling Day, make a card that shows a sibling how special they are, if you don’t have a sibling make a card for a friend you love like a sibling.

For my card today I have used the Mama Elephant - Slim Film city die set. I went looking for a stamp to fit this theme and found this real rubber unmounted stamp from over 15 years ago. I am sorry that I can't tell you the company as I didn't record companies at that time.

I heat embossed the image of the girls 3 times and heat embossed them. I then used copic pens to colour the image and positioned the die over the image that I wanted. I then used the die to cut the layers and placed the images into the frames and added the gem stones in the corners.

Go Wild

This is for this weeks Challenge with the Team on CCEE Stampers blog CCEE2114.

Apparently today is Zoo Lovers Day. Create a card that includes at least one animal you might find in a zoo.

I love the antics of the monkeys at the zoo, I could watch them for ages.

So I went stash diving for some zoo papers and pulled out the retired dies from Karen Burniston. Oval Pull card and Jinks the Monkey dies. I also used the current sentiment die set Go wild for the inside.

Magical Rainbow Day

Today my card is for the Challenge with the team on the CCEE Stampers blog.

Did you know that the 3rd of April is Find a Rainbow Day, For our challenge this week, include a rainbow of some type on your card either a rainbow image or rainbow colors … whichever you prefer.

My inspiration for today's card is from the tutorial I saw the other day from Jennifer McGuire.

I used the My Favorite Things die - falling from the clouds frame to die cut the window. I die cut it several times so I could use more clouds as embellishments.

I used the Avery Elle stamp set - Be a Unicorn for the stamped images and sentiment.

on the inside I used strips of card to make a rainbow that moves up and down as you close the card.
