Somebunny

Today I am joining my friends on the Crazy4Challenges design team. Today is Frances last day of challenges for September.

So our final "S" themed challenge is ...

Slimline Cards- Yes I know we had this theme earlier in the year, but Slimline cards are fun and on trend right now. They are also addictive …. Which is why I created a Facebook Group dedicated to Slimline Cards called Slimline Card Addicts. So this week create a slimline card.

The most popular sizes for Slimline Cards are either 3.5 inches x 8.5 inches or 4 inches x 9 inches. Slimline Cards fit into a standard business size envelope.

To make my slimline card I have used Pinkfresh Studio slim stitched scallop circles panel. I added so of the Gerda Steiner bunnies peeking through the windows.

Don't forget to check out the rest of the “Crazies” cards over on the Crazy 4 Challenges blog and also their individual blogs for more details.

Fairytale Mushrooms

Hi Crafting Friends,

My card today is for the CCEE Stampers blog design challenge.

According to the Days of the Year Calendar, September is Mushroom Month. So for our challenge this week, include one or more mushroom either stamped or die cut on your creation.

I don't seem to have enough time to play inks as much as I'd like, so for this challenge I have used Distress Oxide inks with the glass mat to create the background.

I bought a stamp set from Kaisercraft, that I thought had some good fill in elements, for this card I ave used the sentiment and the larger mushrooms. I then sponges and area to ground the mushrooms and added the small slender mushrooms. I position the large fairy on the mushroom and add the winter berries as foliage. I die cut a piece of acetate to use as a template for a moon stencil and shaded around the edges. Lastly I added some white gel pen highlights on the berries and mushrooms and some Nuvo shimmer pen highlights, around the moon and on the fairy wings, which really don't show in the photo but a nice in real life.

Supplies
Distress Oxide inks, white gel pen, Nuvo shimmer pen
Lavina Stamps : Jaylar, slender mushrooms, winter berries
Kaisercraft: mushrooms and sentiment

Flamingo Shaker

Hi Crafting Friends,
It is time to join in the challenge with the CCEE Stampers blog design team.

Apparently September is "Shake Month" which is a day to celebrate all things Milkshakes!
One of the very first interactive cards Frances created when she first started stamping over 30 years ago was a shaker card, so for a our challenge this week, let's incorporate some sort of shaker element on your card. Bonus points if you include a milkshake!

I started making the shaker card by die cutting the window and added the acetate, before adding the sequins and glue it to the card base. I added the flamingos to match the designer paper.

Birthday stripes

It is time to join the Crazies for fun with Crazy4Challenges theme.

Continuing the "S" theme we have this month, our challenge is all about ....
Stripes - create a card that includes stripes! Create your own striped background by using paper scrap strips; striped stamps or patterned paper.

I made my card using designer paper and die cuts for this birthday theme.

Slimline Eclipse

Today is challenge day with CCEE Stampers blog designer team.

Slimline Cards seem to be very popular at present, especially with a few companies have been releasing dies especially for the use of creating this style of card. I know I have become addicted to this style of card las have a few of my friends. So much so that I created a Facebook Group dedicated to Slimline Cards called Slimline Card Addicts.

For our challenge this week create a Slimline card. The most popular sizes for Slimline Cards are either  8 ½ inches x 3 ½ inches or 4 inches x 9 inches and should fit into a standard business sized envelope.

For my card today I have used a panel of designer paper, cut to size with slimline dies. I have used the eclipse technique for my sentiment.

Don't forget to check out the CCEE Stampers blog to see the rest of the creations the CCEE Stampers have created this week. You can also see more details of their creations on their individual blogs.
