Shadow box winter skies

Welcome to my blog of creative ideas.
My card today is for a challenge that I do each month with a couple of friends, we challenge ourselves to create cards to use our supplies.
This month our challenge is shadow box cards.

For my card I have used the Lawn Fawn shadow box die and placed it in the center of my card as a pop up feature.

On the front of the card I created a simple scene with the stamped images and the forest border. Here a closer look at the shadow box.

Supplies:
Lawn Fawn - winter skies, forest border die, Shadow box die.

Celebrate Black Cats

Welcome to this weeks challenge with the Crazy 4 challenges team.

Today is Black Cat Day! Make a card with a cat on it or make a Halloween Card!

I don't celebrate Halloween but I still wanted to play along. So I have used black cats on my card and just used the words celebrate, which I guess can be used for any occasion. I started by heat embossing the black cats and sentiment ( stamps from a cheap clear stamp set, that I have had for ages) I then used masks and distress oxide inks wild honey, ripe persimmon, broken china and seedless preserves to create the background. I spritz on water to activate the ink, then buffed the cats to remove any excess ink.

I carried on the same background colour scheme for the inside. I have used Karen Burniston's Iron fence pop-up die. Now this is the first time I have used this die although now it is discontinued,  but maybe some day it will be released as Karen has released some of her older die sets. I must say I did have to watch the utube video on how to construct the fence, but I found it fairly easy.

The right side of the fence pops up when you open and close the card. It is pretty cool.

Supplies
Karen Burniston Iron fence pop up
Distress oxide inks, wild honey, ripe persimmon, broken china, seedless preserves
 black embossing powder
 versamark ink
 Elizabeth Craft Designs stitched rectangles.

Faux layering

Welcome to this weeks challenge with the CCEE Stampers team.

Many of you do fabulously wonderful fancy fold cards, which is not my thing. So today I am going to challenge you to make a true one layer card….no layers, no pop-ups, no embellishments. All your work must be on the base layer. Embossing is fine, of course.

I am so glad that I could use embossing for this challenge. The card looks dimensional but it is truly one layer. LOL I started with black embossing the frame, masked it and stamped in the sentiment and embossed it. I then masked that also and sponged in the background ink. I then stamped the flowers and used water to lift of most of the ink inside the stamped image. I then highlighted parts with copic pens and added some sparkle with a glitter pen.

Supplies:
Altenew Geo frames stamp, Wplus9 - Kind soul, Paper Inspriations sentiment from 2006
Blacke embossing powder, wink of stella - clear brush Distress ink Broken china, copic pens

Floral wedding

Welcome to this week Sketch challenge with the Crazy 4 challenge team.

I had another request for a floral wedding card, the invitation came with native flowers on it, so I incorporated that into the theme.
The main image is one I have had for awhile it is from Stamping Bella - Uptown couple Brett and Brenda get married.
The dies are from Ultimate crafts Australiana collection -  ironbark branch. I chose the red flowers of the Ironbark( they do come in different colours) to match the red roses and the red flowers in the designer paper.

I just carried on with the colour scheme on the inside with tonic studio dies.

No Beard day

Welcome to today's challenge with the CCEE Stampers team.

Today is No Beard Day, so let’s make some masculine cards with mustaches, but NO BEARDS.

Well I searched high and low in my stamps  for a image with out a beard and this is the only one I found.

In my thoughts

Welcome, to today's challenge with the Crazy 4 challenges team.

Today is Cancer Awareness Day! You can make a support card for someone who is
currently fighting cancer, or a card of cheer for someone who has won his or her
battle!

For my card today I used the Altenew  In my thoughts stamp set. Along with various Elizabeth Craft Designs dies to make and easel card.
The circle card fits perfectly into a square envelope.

Have a ball

Welcome to today's challenge with the CCEE Team.

This week Hostess Joanne has said "As you all know, I love my two pups. They are both rescue pups from Tennessee. Well, October is Adopt a Shelter Dog mont.h. Let’s create cards with dogs on them."

Our little dog loves to chase the ball, so I thought it would be fun to create a interactive card with this in mind. I was't sure how I was going to make the dog run after the ball without spinning so I made the ball as the movable element. If I try this again I think I will make the grass element larger so I can add a bigger spinner behind to make the dog run after the ball. I think you get the idea anyway, it is fun to tilt the card and have the ball move on its own.

Lets get festive

Welcome to this weeks challenge with the Crazy 4 Challenges team.

Today is World Card Making Day! So make a card! It can be any shape and any theme you want to make.

Since I could make any themed card for this challenge I chose to make a Christmas card. This one is using stamps from an Australian company Beccy's Place. This set is called Emu Parade, she has some cute digital stamp images but I love the photo polymer ones.
For the inside of the card I used Karen Burniston's cupcake pop-up as the generic platform. I also used the nature edges to showcase some of the designer paper that has some printed words that worked well with the theme.

Mythical Creatures

Welcome to this week CCEE stampers challenge. This month Joanne is our hostess.

This week we are going to make Halloween cards with nontraditional Halloween colors. If you don’t celebrate Halloween, do the same for Thanksgiving cards.

Since I don't celebrate Halloween or Thanksgiving, I went with a Mythical Creature theme. I created my background using various Distress Oxide inks. Once it was dried I stamped the spiral of spell stamp with versamark ink and heat embossed with seafoam white powder. When that cooled I then did the same with the flower fairy stamp and black embossing powder. I then created a watermark using the moon pods stamp and the versamark ink.
