FGM Monoprint

My card today was made for the challenge that I have going with a couple of friends. Each month we challenge ourselves to use our supplies. Recently we had seen several Jennifer McGuire tutorials on distress ink monoprints so our this month we are trying it out.

I sponged the background with the distress oxide inks and clear embossed the ocean borders stamp. Originally I was going with a underwater scene but I thought the waves turned out to look like wind blowing across the sky.

Using the darker piece I used dies to make a winter scene, and the lighter piece for a fun summer sky.

Supplies:
Honey Bee - ocean borders
Lawn Fawn - Coaster Critters
Cottage cutz - snow drift border die
MFT - stitched round rectangles
Ranger- Tim Holtz distress oxide ink
clear embossing powder

Autumn Leaves

Hello and welcome, my card today was made for an Autumn themed challenge where we had to use leaves.
I placed the stencil off to one side and sponged the ink through the stencil in various colours. I then added embossing ink and embossed the leaves for dimension. I die cut some leaves and added them along with the sentiment to the card.

Supplies:
Altenew stencil, ECD leaf dies, distress oxide inks, embossing powder.

Magicial pride & Friendship

Welcome to today's challenge card made for the Crazy4challenges Harry Potter challenge. I have a work friend who is a great Harry Potter fan so this is made for her too.

According to the Days of the Year Calendar the 20thMarch was Hufflepuff Pride Day, 21st– Slytherin Pride Day, 22nd– Gryffindor Pride Day and 23rd– Ravenclaw Pride Day. These are the four Houses of Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardy from Harry Potter. This is a challenge for all the Harry Potter fans out there, create a card inspired by Harry Potter. This could include using stamps of the characters, using colors from any one of the four houses on your card. Or anything else that inspires you.

For my card I have made a northern lights background with distress oxide inks. I then added a splatter of white ink to resemble some stars. The stamped images were coloured and fussy cut out before adding them to the background.

I made a z fold card and using the castle pop up die to replicate the castle walls of Hogwarts. I used the stencil option on the dies to create the brick walls.
I was really happy that I was able to showcase a die set in another way, other that the way that it was intended.

The card folds neatly flat for postage.

Supplies:
Karen Burniston - Castle pop-up, Kraftin Kimmie stamps - make your own magic, Distress Oxide inks - squeezed lemonade, picked raspberry, salty ocean, wilted violet, lucky clover, blueprint sketch, black soot, picket fence.

Magician's Illusions - surprise element

Welcome to this weeks challenge with the CCEE Stampers team.

Next week is National Smoke and Mirrors Day.
The celebration is based on magicians' illusions,
where magicians make objects appear or disappear with retracting mirrors
and confusing bursts of smoke.
Wave your magic wand and create a card with a surprise element!

My surprise element was created with the magic color slider die.

You pull up the slider to reveal the coloured image beneath.

Supplies:
Stamps: Your next stamp - Waddles Beach Fun
Lawn Fawn magic color slider die, designer paper petite paper pack scallops

Heeling Powers

Welcome to the CCEE challenge for today.

Tomorrow is National Shoe the World Day.
Each day, over 500 million children,
teens and adults around the world do not have a pair of shoes to wear,
and despite the terrain and the climate, they walk barefoot.
Let's create a card using any shoe - cowboy boots, heels, flip-flops,
to help the awareness to donate any shoes you no longer need.

I thought this sentiment was perfect with the a pair of high heels for a fun get well card.

I am also entering this card into the Your next stamp -  Fun Friday challenge 109 - designer paper

Supplies:
Your next stamp - Sports Fanatics shoeper awesome
Karen Burniston - Circle Charm Pop-up, Get well charms, border blends - party

Wedding Flowers

Welcome to my card for the Crazy4Challenges theme flowers.

The 12thMarch is Plant a Flower Day, for our challenge this week include a flower or flowers on your card.

I just had to play with Karen Burniston's new release die the heart pivot panels and teamed it with the Happily ever after die for the front of the card. I also used Karen's wedding charms (retired) for the inside panels.

I needed a card for my daughters best friends wedding, the bridesmaids are wearing claret/burgundy so I chose the designer paper to match.

Life Happens

Welcome to another month of Challenges with the CCEE team. Kelly is our hostess this month.

Monday was Fun Facts about Your Name Day.
What does your name mean?
Briefly research the meaning of your name and create a card!

If you can't find your name directly, create a card
based on a few letters IN your name ..
i.e. K = Kite, E = enamel dots, L = lavender

I thought it would be fun to research my name, who new it had so many meanings. Some were hilarious, so I thought I would share a few.

Maryann is a special kind of girl/woman...one minute the smokin' hot smoky seductress of your dreams; the next, the giggly, guileless girl next door. She's sweet, sassy, enigmatic, super spunky, energetic, crazy, spontaneous, fun, crazy, beautiful, well liked, sexy, sultry, girly girl, has her own style, diva, one of a kind, loyal and trustworthy and all around gorgeous.
Life happens when you meet MaryAnn.

Now I don't happen to agree with most of the description for my name but I liked the saying Life happens, so I used this Stampendous stamp as my main image as I love the sentiment.
"Life isn't about waiting for the storm to pass... it's about learning to Dance in the rain."

Lets talk Coffee

Welcome to todays card made for the Crazy4challenges, challenge

It's a brand new month Frances is our hostess.

March is Caffeine Awareness Month, so for our challenge this week create a Coffee themed card. If you don't have any coffee stamps, dies or papers and hot beverage will do.

I had fun making this card with the Rocking Rectangle die set from Karen Burniston, once again I used this cute dinosaur stamp set from Gerda Designs.
