Toy Blocks

Today is challenge day for CCEE Stampers and this month I am the hostess.
Something I have wanted to try for awhile, make a Block card made to look like a child's toy blocks.

When I went craft shopping the other day I purchased Karen Burniston designed Rudy the Reindeer die, I just couldn't wait to use him.

For this card you need:
1 piece of card 12 inches x 4.5 inches
1 piece of card 1 inch x 4.5 inches
Designer paper to decorate also Stamps, Punches, Dies etc.

I started to write a description on how to make this card but I think it would be clearer if you watched a video tutorial.
So here are some tutorials to help  you out

I used some more dies to decorate the back as well.

Supplies:
Elizabeth craft designs dies
Hero Arts stamps

I hope you give this a try and join the other team players for this challenge.

  4. Thanks for this challenge, Maryann. I did have to try something new and I usually hate doing 3 d type cards. Love your Christmas theme on this.

  5. Phew, I'm glad I'm not the only one who went Christmas! Thanks for such a fun challenge, Maryann - it's too long since I saw one of these on a blog and thought I must try it. I really like the way you decorated the back of yours, too. Love your DP, and that little deer is darling.

  6. Maryann....you aced this block card challenge.....and even had lots of green......I want you, as the hostess, to know that I did make the basic card but I had a really frustrating time decorating it and gave up.......thx for making me try this style of card as it is way out of my comfort zone......I may give the decorating one more try now that I have seen so many more of them completed
