FGM Arrow Fold

Welcome, today my card is for the challenge that I do with some friends each month, so that we take the time to craft in our busy lives. This month our challenge was to create an arrow card.

This is the first time I have made one but there are quite a few different styles out there if you search for them. I used the Gerda Steiner stamps for my card. We had a debate on whether the flap should be glued down and decided it was a matter of personal taste, I haven't in this photo but I am considering it.

Circles and Squares

Welcome to today's challenge with the CCEE Stampers team

Circles and squares are simple geometric shapes. Make a card using at least one of each.

It is the time of the year when you just need another Christmas card, I like the idea of having the star floating in the center circle and the little Santa Bear flying through the stars.
I used  gold foil card for the Merry Christmas die cut for a little bit of glamour.

Take a hike

Welcome to today's challenge with the Crazy 4 challenges team.

Last week, on the 17th, it was Take a Hike Day. Be inspired by a hiking theme. You could create a scenic card or have one with hiking boots, use your imagination.

The thing I like about challenge is that it make you use supplies that you have had for awhile. That is that case with the this bear stamp. I created the scene background with distress oxide inks and fitted it into the backdrop window so that it looks like Fred Bear is taking a long hike. I used a die cut portion for my center insert.

Supplies
Lawn Fawn Stitched hillside backdrop, forest border dies
My Favorite Things Fred Bear takes a hike.
Distress Oxide inks, copic pens, foam tape

Humorous Birthday

Today's challenge with the CCEE Stampers team is to make a birthday card, and extra points if it’s humorous.

I have been waiting to use this stamp set for awhile just needed the right challenge. I wanted to create a shop front which was simple enough with the stamps, the awing is from the MFT set and I have popped it up with foam tape.

I used the Karen Burniston  spinner die for the middle and to create the acetate window. The spinner are was a perfect spot to add the sentiment.

Bonus points for the humorous sentiment, I am so sure it is true.

Supplies:
Art Impressions Lingerie Shoppe
MFT Meet me in the cafe
Karen Burniston spinner square pop-up die
acetate, copic pens, foam tape, glue

On the Edge

The other day I shared a card that I had made following the on the edge technique by Jennifer McGuire. In the  tutorial from Jennifer McGuire you create elements to make two cards this is what I made with the other floral image. This is my first attempt at using fun foam to pop up my image instead of double sided foam tape. I was looking for white but it is rather difficult to find but I did find a pack with several colours, for this card I tried the pink to match the flowers, it was so easy to use I will definitely be trying it again.

My flower image is from Wplus9 with the coordination die so that I didn't have to fussy cut the image. I coloured the image with copic pens and highlighted the flowers with a glitter pen and added the embossed sentiment for My favorite things.

Clean and Simple with a twist

Welcome to today's challenge with the Crazy 4 Challenges team.

November 15 is Use Less Stuff Day. In its honor I would like you to make a true one layer CAS card (sorry Hoots). The theme is up to you…..Thanksgiving, Christmas, birthday or something else.

I really like interesting interactive card so when the challenge is for a clean and simple card I'll try it but add a little twist. When I saw this tutorial from Jennifer McGuire with a one layer card with on the edge stamping I just had to try it.

My Image is from Wplus9 with the coordination die so that I didn't have to fussy cut the image. I coloured the image with copic pens and highlighted the flowers with a glitter pen.

Octopus Ocular Optics

Welcome to this week challenge with the CCEE Stampers team.

Today is Tongue twister Day. Most languages have their own versions of tongue twisters. In sign language, they are called “finger Fumbles”. Use a tongue twister to inspire your card.

My tongue twister words are Octopus Ocular Optics, try saying that fast it is a bit of a mouth full.

So I have a few of Karen Burniston dies that I hadn't used yet. I also had a few of her older dies from the Elizabeth Craft Designs day, it is so great when you can combine the two.

I love how this octopus turned out and just a side view of the palm tree it was so much fun to make.

Supplies:
Dies: Karen Burniston - Palm tree pop-up, happy birthday, ocean animals, nature edges,
Props 1 & Props 5 ( ECD - retired) Oval Pull card sun (ECD - retired)
white gel pen, distress oxides.

Falling leaves

Welcome to today's card made for the weekly challenge with the team on Crazy 4 Challenges.

During the fall and spring seasons, leaves are all around us. In the fall they are falling, colorful, and becoming a carpet on the ground. In the spring, the new leaves are sprouting from the trees. Make a card in which the only images are leaves. It does not have to be in autumn colors.

I decided to use the Catherine Pooler stamp set Hello Autumn for my card today. I pull out my old
Ranger - Adirondack ink pads to create the Autumn colours in my leaves. Since it was an Autumn
themed card I wanted a bare tree so I chose the Karen Burniston dies tree pop up and the outdoor scene.

Inside the card I used nature edges to cut the stamped background and glued it in place. I then
positioned the pop-up die in two places so that I could pop up two trees. I placed another tree behind
the others, to give is a bit of a forest look. I the added some leaves that were die cut out of the stamped
card waste pieces.

For the front of my card I just made a simple layout to reflect the inside, using the same stamps and dies. Here is the side view of the pop up trees.

Red Feathers

Welcome to this weeks challenge with the CCEE Team. Anne is our hostess this month.

This is the month of Thanksgiving in the United States. My challenge to you is to use a turkey on your card. If you are in another place that does not celebrate, you may use a bird. It wouldn’t hurt if there was a RED feather or two.

I knew that one day I would need a turkey for a card, so I snapped up this Cottage cuts turkey in a clearance sale some time ago.

Thanksgiving isn't for me so I just created a thanks card.

Supplies:
Dies: Cottage cuts - Turkey
Karen Burniston - outdoor scene, Pop it up fence pop stand.
Kaisercraft - thanks pop up
Elizabeth Craft Designs - stitched oval
