Groovy Day

This designer paper screams the psychedelic era of 60s and 70s, when My Favorite Things released the Doodle Garden Far Out stamp set, I just had to create a card. Lime green and Orange are one of my favourite colour combinations. I also teamed this stamp with other MFT products, the leaf filled flourish, the Upsy daisy and the beautiful bows along with the Martha Stewart border punch.
For the inside I used the sizzix pop n cut die and the sizzix sizzlets hello set. The designer paper I have used is from DCWV cut to 12 x 6 and it was already embossed with gold.

Poppy make a wish

Today I had a chance to play with some new release items from My Favorite Things. I also use the Wednesday sketch challenge MFTWSC116 for my layout.
For this card I haven't used any designer paper instead I went back to my early card making days were we used stamps to create backgrounds. I have also tried letterpress embossing, where you ink a embossing folder before placing your card stock in and emboss, the colour of the base card pops out of the coloured ink. The poppies were backed with foam tape to give a 3D effect. Glitter was added to the center of the flowers and faux piercing add to the border.

Supplies:
Stamps: MFT LJD Pretty poppies, triple scoop set
Other: MFT Die-namics poppies & leaves, Dizzy doily duo, Glitter fabric paint, Brilliance pearlescent ink -poppy,beige, lime,Craft concepts Embossing folder - Venus, Riding hood red ribbon and card, black and white card.

Autumn Leaves circle flip it

March in Australia is the start of Autumn and for Special Sister Card challenge of Boomerang stampers list we had to create an Autumn card.
I have used the sizzix circle flip die to cut the base card. Awhile ago I saw some cards on Pinterest that used embossing folders to highlight certain parts of a card for added texture, one in particular that I wanted to try was embossed die cut leaves. I love the way these have turned out, I completed the card by adding twine and a button.

Enjoying a beautiful Autumn's day

Botanical Beauty

Hi Everyone,
The two cards that I am sharing with you today feature My Favorite Things Botanical beauty Die-namic and the leaf filled flourish die-namic.
Also featured in these cards are some designer papers from DCWV. On the first card I sponged the flower to keep the old world charm of the designer paper. DCWV have the most wonderful designer papers but sometimes when using the 12x12 size you do lose some of the focal point of the design.
Supplies:
Stamps: Paper Inspitations
Other: Mft die-namics leaf filled flourish and Botanical beauty, hot glue, gems, antique linen distress ink.

I hope you like what I have created thanks for looking.

Bea's Birthday

Today I thought I would share with you a card that my Daughter made while she was in hospital { notice the bed sheet background} finally she felt well enough to make a card for her friends little sister. I had all the elements cut out and she just coloured and assembled it, not bad for her first attempt at copic pens.
Supplies
Stamps: The cat's pajamas
Other: card stock, designer paper, copic pens, nestabilities, ribbon.

Take care
Maryann
