Going golfing

Ahh it is good to be able to have something to post at last. The last few months I have been rather lazy only making the odd card, when it was necessary. I even made a card for my niece on the birth of her twins after I gave it to her I realized that I had fogotten to take a photo, a mistake I hope not to make again.
July is a busy month with some birthdays, births and a graduation so come back again and you may just see something new.
Todays card was the last one I made just on Thursday in fact. It was for my husband's 50th birthday not something that he like to be reminded of. I knew what stamp I wanted to use, as he is a very keen golfer, just like me, but it was not until I saw Mercy's tuesday sketch challenge MTSC83 this week that I knew I had the right layout. I love the way it looks like this guy has just hit the golf ball out of sight. I used my cuttlebug folder to make the dimples on the ball and layered the nestabilities circle dies for the shapes.
Supplies:
Stamps: Clear stamps, www.sullivans.net
Paper: black, blue,white, dp
Other: Nestabilities, embossing folder, ms punch, copics

Birthday butterfly

Hi there, I can't believe it has been so long since I have posted a card, time goes fast when you are busy. I had a few birthdays this month so I had no choice but to get in the craft room. This card was made for a 50th birthday, I used the sketch OCCSC15 on the Our creative corner blog. I recently met a friend for our monthly get together and went shopping I purchased this Shapeabilities die. I also made a challenge for this month, for myself to create a card with a bow and button, so many cards out there have them now.I stamped the butterfly in pearlescent coral ink and touched the edges with crimson copper. I found this lovely verse and thought it suited the occasion.
Supplies:
Stamps: Basic Grey - All Natural, Verse - Art stamps Australia
Paper: Vanilla, green, DP- Rasberry Tart
Other: MS punch quilted, brillance ink - crimson copper, Pearlescent coral, Spellbinders Lotus pendant, vanilla ribbon and button, gems

You're a hoot

Today's card is made using Mercy's Tuesdays sketch MTSC63.
I started with my stamped image and coloured it with copics, sponged the clouds using a stencil and cut out the oval with my nestabilities. The green card was embossed with flower fantasy Eb it was then layered with chocolate chip, mint green and designer paper ( some that I had in stock but it didn't have a label so I can't share).
This was my first attempt to tie a ribbon and bow on my card, I probably could have played with is some more to get the tails even but it looks ok.

Stamps: Rachelle Anne Miller Lily & Milo clear stamps
Paper: Chocolate chip. mint green, white, designer paper
Other: chocolate chip satin ribbon, mint and chocolate chip brads, copics, brilliance black & pearlescent sky blue ink, nestabilities ovals and scallop ovals, foam tape, Fantasy Flower cuttlebug embossing folder

Golf Cards

Yeah I can finally share these cards with you, they are two golf cards that I received last month for my birthday. I had to wait to post them because this card from Frances is to be posted on her blog today. It is for a masculine card challenge on Crazy 4 Challenges blog, now I am no way masculine but I do love my golf and over the last several years it has been Frances's challenge to herself to come up with a golf card for me, Frances's now owns several golf stamps, I sure she doesn't mind LOL. I absolutely treasure each card she has made for me, my Hubby love them too as he is a keen golfer also. You can find more info on Frances's blog Stampowl's Studio
The second card is from my friend Gai and a lovely card it is also. I have only had one game of golf in the last month, due to the wet weather we have been having, the course has been closed for competiition. When I am feeling a little down, it is good to look at these cards to lift my spirits.
Have a great day

Birthday Princess

Hi there,
It is a busy time at work again, it seems to be the norm these days. We have had so much rain that I have missed out on my weekly golf game as the course has been under water, I am lucky that I am high and dry not like some unfortunate people in the rest of the state.
As usual my daughter left it until the last minute for a birthday card request for her friend, I thought I was being clever and had a few on hand for her to choose from. She found one but could you please make it in blue with brown hair. So being nice I made 3 with 3 different designer papers and different shades of brown hair.

This is the card that she chose, she was in such a hurry that she took the photo while I was at work. HMMM maybe she needs some more practise taking card photos.
Stamps: TGF: Princess Anya
Paper: Real Red, Cool Caribbean, Navy,Chocolate Chip, DP - DCWV
Other : Spellbinders Shapeabilities -Fleur De Lis & Fancy Tags
