Martini Mouse Easel Card

Hi Everyone,

It is time to join the team on Crazy for Challenges blog and Caz continues with the challenges.

In a name.... using your initials make a card using dies/stamps that start with your letters.

I have used Mice / Martini for my first name and Easel for my surname.

To make an easel card just score it in half and the score the front in half again, that creates the easel part, just place extra layers of paper or embellishments to help the front stand up. Attach your front embellishment panel by only applying to the glue to the bottom of the part that you want to stand, then attached it only onto the bottom half of the card front.
The card with fold flat for posting, you can make any size card or shape as long as you are able to score it in half evenly.

Supplies:
Suzanne Cannon Quietfire designs - Celebrate - Best Wishes
Elizabeth Craft Designs  Double sided tape
Stampendous- House Mouse, glitter paper

Glitter Bees

Today is challenge day on Crazy 4 Challenges and hostess Caz has asked that we put bees or bugs on our card.
The inspiration for my card came the other day when I was at my friend Frances's house, she has all her cards on display. Frances just happened to have a card using the beehive next to her one inspired by Els' technique Friday tutorials.
You can see their creations here, here and here.

I wanted to inlay the honeycomb, but I found it was too hard to line up all the pieces, so I just covered a piece of white card with double sided tape. I cut a piece to size for the card front, the cut several honeycomb pieces, lining them up to cover the card front being careful not to get finger prints on the sticky double sided tape. I then added the warm diamond micro fine glitter and polished it into the card.
I then took the double sided tape off the honeycomb pieces and using saffron glitter I did the same.
I then inlaid the entwined circles  that were glittered with rust and solar gold.
I then used copic pens to add different shades of yellow to the honeycomb, and finished the front with the bees with glittered wings.

Inside the card I die cut the bee hive  and some glittered bees.

Candy Monster

Today is challenge day with my friends on CCEE Stampers and hostess Joanne has a double challenge for us.

First, you must make a true one-layer card..... nothing popped up or embellished. Second your card must have a Halloween or Thanksgiving theme.

Well living in Australia I don't do either theme, but I wanted to play along. What does Halloween have other than the spooky theme... Its candy right.

In the past few years Halloween has become popular with the retail outlets and you can purchase all sorts of candy.

I just had to use this Tayored Expressions,  Candy Monster stamp and die set.
After stamping the monster I made a mask with the monster die, I then made a reverse label mask and sponged in the distressed inks.

Supplies:
Taylored Expressions Candy Monster
Elizabeth Craft Designs   Labels & Circles
Distressed ink, copic pens, sponges

Old enough to know

Hi everyone,

Challenge day with my friends on the CCEE Stampers Blog, hostess Joanne has this weeks challenge.

Today is World Sight Day. Include glasses, eye charts, or a sentiment related to one’s sight on your card today.

When I found this cool designer paper in my supplies, I knew I just had to use it. Just about everyone when they are a certain age will need glasses.
I decided to use some quirky stamps from Art Impressions.

The speech bubble on the front was lengthen to fit the sentiment, it is from the accordion  rectangle  set designed by Karen Burniston for Elizabeth Craft Designs     I have made a pop up card using the
Anita Frames Pop Up die along with some more Art Impression stamps.

Supplies
Elizabeth Craft Designs
Steampunk stamps

Adele's Flowers

Today I am sharing the card I made for my Mother in law's birthday, she has a lovely garden so I have made a pop up Flower Pot.
To create the flower pot, I used the Flower Pop up die designed by Karen Burniston for
Elizabeth Craft Designs

Karen has a  video for instructions on this die, I found it very easy to follow.

I kept the layout true to the picture on the packaging, by adding the Paris edges.

All the flower components are included in the set along with the butterfly wings, I added the body from the small butterfly set and covered them with micro fine glitter.

The front is just designer paper with the die cut words covered with glitter.

Supplies:
Flower pot pop stand
Paris Edges
Labels & Circles
Small Butterfly
Numbers & More 2
Curvy leaves
Micro fine glitter
Happy Birthday

Orange and Red blooms

It is challenge time with the Crazies on the Crazy 4 Challenges blog.

Hostess Caz Counsell has a fun challenge this month

"Color wheel mix up... find your favorite 2 colors on the wheel and use the 2 colors on the opposite side of the wheel …. this will challenge you to maybe use colors you would usually shy away from."

My favourite colours are green and blue that makes the opposite side orange and red.
I have used the Katie Label die designed by Karen Burniston for Elizabeth Craft Designs
and the peel off stickers that match.

Supplies:
Elizabeth Craft Designs
copic pens, foam tape, double sided tape, dcwv designer paper

Today is Challenge day with my friends on CCEE Stampers blog, our hostess this month is Joanne.

Here is our challenge - Apparently today is Physician’s Assistant’s Day. In honor of that let’s make get well cards.

In the centre of the card I used the Twisted circle  pop up die designed by Karen Burniston for Elizabeth Craft Designs .

The twisted circle pop up was a great way to highlight this sentiment from Verses rubber stamps
"This is more than a card. It's a Hug with a fold in the middle"

Supplies:
