21 Glitter owl flip it

Today over on CCEE the challenge CCEE 1422 is to make a card with a number, it could be designer paper, die cut or embossed numbers.
For my card I used die cut numbers, cut out of sticker sheet and dipped into silk microfine glitter.
For the base card, I used Sizzix Majestic flip its die, cut one out of white card and once out of shimmer sheetz from Eilzabeth Craft designs, the shimmer sheetz was then embossed and sanded before being attached to the card stock.

Shimmer sheetz are thin sheetz that are able to be embossed, die cut, sanded and inked depending on the look you want to achieve.
The owl is cottage cutz harvest owl die, cut in black then placed on a sticker sheet and covered with microfine glitter, then coloured with copic pens and popped up with foam dots. I have also added coordinating dies and ribbon.

Here is another photo of the front at a different angle, the shimmer sheetz change colour depending on the light.

I made this card for the online challenge on Stamphappy a Yahoo group for Australian and New Zealand stampers. The theme for this month is 1 designer paper, 2 flowers and 3 buttons. For the base card I have used the Fancy frame flip it die, designed by Stephanie Barnard.

The sentiment is from verses, the leaf filled flourish and rolled rose are from MFT the gems and buttons are a special craft purchase. Here is another photo with the card flipping open, interactive cards are such fun.

CCEE1421 Acetate

Today I have some exciting news to share with you I have been asked to be part of the design team for CCEE Stampers.... Cheer & Challenge Electric Ensemble. A group of stampers who share their passion of challenges.
Every week we will post a challenge for you to try and please link you work on our blog
CCEE stampers so we can see it.
For this week the challenge is clear creations using acetate.

To create the background I use the Hero arts leafy vine stamp and stamped it on acetate with stazon ink. It was then layered onto glitter designer paper and attached with brads. Normally I would die cut the butterflies but I discovered these butterfly stickers at a new discount store and they matched perfectly for the silver, black and white theme.

Everyone is a star

Sometimes we just need a little help with our layout design. For this week CCEE Stampers has a sketch for their challenge.

For my take on this sketch I used a sentiment set from Verses it is one of many that I have purchased from a new range of stamps at our local store. I added sponging while the die was in place along with some small stamps. The glitter stars were added to complement the glitter star on the designer paper.

Supplies:
Stamps: Verses
Other: designer paper, ECD silk micro fine glitter, double sided sticker sheet, copic pens,  MFT oval scallop die, nestabilities oval die

Cupcake accordion

To create the base of this card I used the Elizabeth  craft Designs accordion oval die, designed by
This is the first time I have done a triple accordion card, I love the look of the three panels together, however I think I will use stronger card stock next time. The die cut happy birthday has had glitter applied with double sided sticker paper. On the last panel I used the Elizabeth craft design cupcake sticker with micro fine glitter and copic pens.

Supplies:
Stamps: Art Impressions; MFT
Other: ECD dies, ECD sticker, copic pens, foam dots, double sided sticker paper

Butterfly popup

Sometimes when we get caught up with the newest products we neglect some of our older products. The thing I love about Karen Burniston designed products is that they coordinate with her other products.
For this card I have used the Sizzix base plate [square w/Ornate Edge ] with the butterfly insert [discontinued] but the smaller butterflies are from the Elizabeth Craft Design butterfly accessory die

To create the small butterflies, I have used shimmer sheetz and silk micro fine glitter. For the center of the card I panels cut with Sizzix Bigz die edge and scroll and embossed them with cuttlebug textile embossing folder.

Here is the front of the card taken at a different angle to show the colour of the shimmer sheet.

It's tea time

I knew the moment I saw this designer paper I wanted to use it with Elizabeth craft designs tea cup sticker and microfine glitter.
The tea cup is small enough to be placed on the insert flip of the Stephanie Barnard - Stamps of life designed triple fancy frame flip it die. The small sentiments are from a MFT My cup of tea set.

Thanks for looking and have a great day.

Far out flip it

This month I got together with friends and our challenge was to create a card using the Stephanie Barnard designed sizzix triple flip it die. I thought this was going to be such fun but the challenge for me was to find stamps small enough to the flip inserts. But once that was done this die set is such fun to use. It comes with several dies one to cut the main card and each designer paper panel and the several small dies for layering in the flip part.
The  Stamps I have used  are from MFT Doodle Garden far out clear set, it comes with the main image and several word sayings. I love this image it has a real retro feel and I was lucky to find some very nice designer paper.

The best things

Hi there,
We have just celebrated Mother's Day in Australia, which had me thinking about my girls and what we used to do when they were little, walking on the beach and collecting shells was a favourite.
So when I came across this stamp set from Stampin Up in my collection, I felt it was very suitable for the Challenge on CCEE Stampers blog CCEE1419 Barefeet.
The Mother and daughters are two separate stamps but I have placed them so they look a scene. I then cut a piece of beach themed designer paper and mounted it on foam dots. After adding the text I used some liquid glass and micro beads to look like beach sand and some shell beads.

Supplies:
Stamps: Seaside sketches
Other, Liquid glass, micro beads, shell beads, copic pens, foam tape, nestabilities dies, distressed ink.

Have a great day
