Embossed Roses

Some fun making a birthday card for a fellow card maker. I scored lines on card and added distress inks, shabby shutters, brushed corduroy, weathered wood with the direct to paper technique. I then dry embossed the roses and highlighted it with peeled paint. Adding the sentiment and die cut leaves.

Butterfly wave

This my version of a wave card, I love using butterflies on the wave.
I pulled out some stamps from my stash but any that fit would suit.
I made the card base to fit into an Australia standard postage envelope and adjusted the wave panels to fit. I went stash diving for the butterfly designer paper. The stamped butterflies were coloured to match the background paper. I made this card for a fun butterfly swap. Inspired by Sam Calcutt tutorial.

Happy little monster

I made this card for my Grandson's second birthday. I wanted to make a dinosaur card but the set I ordered didn't arrive in time. So I went with this clear stamp set that was a recent gift, a great set of monsters that are very cute. I stamped out the images and used ink to blend the background. For the central monster I added it to the card with foam tape and added the googly eyes for fun.

Birthday wishes

A fantasy themed card for a four-year-olds birthday.  I have used the princess themed stamps and the Lorna label pop up die set for the center of the card.

Star gazing

I had a lot of fun, creating this version of a star card.
I watched several tutorials from several sites and they all seem to follow the same pattern.
The base card measures 5x5 inches. For the star panel I cut 6 pieces 1/4 x 5 inches and scored at 1,2,3,4. I attached them to the left side of the card base to create the star. I them cut 12 pieces to size and dry embossed them with a star embossing folder, I then sanded the card to reveal the white core. I the created the mat layers to fit on the right side and stamp and coloured it to match the theme.

Stenciled background

I created the background for this card using the Altenew Layered Dahlia Stencil A & B. Using a stencil is great for making quick cards. I applied the stencil layers over a light patterned designer paper. I then added the embellishments from my stash.

Through the looking glass

I had a bit of fun creating the background for this card with a gelli plate and acrylic paint. I then added a selection of stamped images. The top layer of images are from a clip art search of Alice in wonderland images.

True loves kiss

I made this card for a Disney themed wedding. I used a page out of the DCWV designer paper pack, Once upon a time.
I wanted to highlight the words in the designer paper and used the arch pop-up die set from Karen Burniston to create a pop up arch of love hearts over the wedding couple.

On the front I added the die cut carriage, and on the back I added an envelope a place to give money.

Supplies :
Karen Burniston: 1308 Arch pop-up, 1193 Heart Collage pop-up
Tonic studio die - horse and carriage
Stamps- The rabbit hole designs

Picture Perfect Friendship

I made this card for a friendship challenge. I like the movie themed designer paper. I found this themed stamp set in my supplies (MFT clear stamp set), I thought they went well together.
