Without Wings

Today I have another card for the Boomerang Stampers COTM theme things with wings. The technique I have used on this card was something that I did at the craft show last month.

I stamped the image in black in and using the circle die I cut it out. I then proceeded to sponge on different shades of distress ink until I was happy. The Fleur de lis die and Designer paper was also sponged. The sketch I have used is MFTWSC22 and I have also added string for C4C92 twine/string challenge and finished it off with a gold button.Oh the last final touches a spritz with smooch ink and some gem stones around the die.

Fairy Flora

Hi there,
Here is another cute Mo Manning image to share. I used the SFyttJune11 sketch for the layout
this card is alo an entry into the Boomerang Stampers List COTM things with wings theme. I love her in purples and I think I will keep trying different colours just to see which one I like the best.
I have watched a few tutorials on how to colour with copics, I must say for a person that usually just colours the whole thing, trying to create shading and shadows has been quite a challenge.

Raining flowers

Today's card I have combined Crazy 4 challenges C4C93 and Paper Pretties PWC160.
It is a cool cloudy day here so it was nice bright colours.

Pink Fairy Lee

Hello there,
I started colouring this image last week for the CCEE stampers pink challenge 1125, but it has taken me until tonight to finish it, well better late than never I say.
The sketch I have used is from Taylored Expressions TESC141 and last week I also came across the paper flower tutorial at Amazing Paper Grace, Becca used tissue paper but I had this light coloured vellum that worked really great.
I have been collecting a few of these great Mo Manning stamps that are just so cute and easy to colour.Supplies:

Happy Anniversary

Today is our 27th Wedding Anniversary and no I didn't make my Hubby a card as we decided not to do gifts we would just celebrate with a nice dinner date together. But I thought I would share with you this lovely card made by my friends Gai, isn't the elephant so cute, I have this set so I know the elephant is from a sullivans clear stamp set.

Make & Take

Today I went to the craft show with my sister, the weather was cold and miserable so it was nice to go somewhere where it was warm and dry. There was lots to see and it was great to see stamp shops from all over the country. I must say the purse was alittle lighter than it was when I went in. I thought I would share with you a couple of make and & take that I made today.
This first one was made using stamp it australia stamps, destressed inks and sponging blocks.

This next one was made at the Kaszazz stand using their stamps and ink pads. The small tree on the left is a rubon.

Two cute

Todays card was made with the neighbours Two year old in mind. I start with the Paper Pretties Wednesday challenge PWC156 however I was creating from memory and left the bottom layer out and then got carried away with embellishments. I die cut the stars from felt for texutre and added a layer of dimentional magic for the water.

Where it all began

I have been creating cards for 12 years and have seen many changes to the industry in that time. Craft Shops were scarce and buying things over the Internet was rare, for some even a computer was rare. I didn't have one and borrowed a friends email to belong to an online group, supplies were purchased at craft shows which ran for several days and for some that was a serious shopping adventure. All stamps were wood mounted and stalls were not allowed to sell ones that weren't, this made the suitcases very heavy for the trip home.

We utilized household items for creations, the cost was then added to the grocery bill.

Craft ideas came from magazines and for me it came from a snail mail group call the rubber stamp book club(RSBC), where books were for a member and then sent out for other members to create a page and then to pass it on. Later I then joined the advance rubber stamp book club(TARSBC), this was a little different as each book was create in a particular theme.

Here are some pages that I have created. The first one is for a pink & green theme. I only seem to put green and & pink for flowers but this time I went for a different look.

Shelled napkin fold

Hi there,
I thought I would just share what I have been working on.
I saw this napkin fold card some time ago and knew that I just had to make it some day. We have had quite a few public holidays of late so I finally found time to create.
I saw this idea on stampartic blog the instructions are really great.

I started with my Martha Stewart punches and decided to keep the shell theme. It is the first time I have sucessfully used my border and corners punches together.

After creating all the folds I masked areas, then sponged and stamped them. I also added colour to the edges. I was really thinking of using designer paper, but couldn't find one that really matched the theme at the time.

Inside I stamped the verse and sponged and stamped the edges and layered onto another panel with border made with punches. The belly band was sponged and stamped also and the main image was coloured with watercolour pencils.

Paper: white and mahogany card

Other: Distress ink - antique linen, scattered straw, aged mahogany, watercolour pencils, Ms shell punch, sponge, masking paper, ds tape.

All aboard

Still suffering allergies so I will keep this post short, Please excuse any typing errors.
I made this card for my great nephew who recently turned 4. He was more interested in the present than in the card, but then that is boys for you.
The card also covered several challenges from last month PWC151 - paper piercing and Boomerang Stampers List COTM - button and ribbon embellisments.
