21 Wishes

Today's card is another request card from my Daughter, one of her friends whom she met at Tennis club while she was in school has turned twenty one. I must say this My Favorite Things a'la mode girl is one of my most used stamp sets.
For the base card I have used the rectangle pull card die designed by Karen Burniston for Elizabeth Craft designs.
I found some designer paper with a pattern that reminded me of a tennis net so I have used that as a mat, also on the designer paper was some cupcakes so using the postage stamps die I matted one of the cakes and placed it on the left hand side.
On the inside I had another A'la mode girl with a tennis racket, and added some words die cut numbers and a key.

CCEE1522 Get out your tools

Today is the last May challenge for hostess Joanne on CCEE Stampers.
We had to get out our tools for this one.  It was a must have something heat embossed, have some paper piercing, paper piecing, AND some type of framing on this card/project.  It should be pretty easy to get ALL these elements on one creation.  Have fun!!!
Well I don't know about fun as it was certainly a challenge to put all the elements on this card, when it came to embossing all I could think was dry embossing as it has been so long since I had heat embossed.
Okay paper piece -  tick
paper pierce - tick
framing - tick
heat emboss it - tick
Yeah I got it all done.

The image for my card today is from the Cat's Pajamas, it is one that I have had for years, every so often I like to pull it out for some inking. The patty paper, frosting, party hats, candle, star, present have all been paper pieced. The sentiment heat embossed. The imaged has also been framed with paper piercing and a fancy frame die.

So happy to have completed this challenge

FGM Robots

Today is project day with my friends Frances and Gai. Last month we found this cute Robot set from Stampendous at our favourite craft store The Craft Giraffe.
I found this great designer paper in my supplies that I thought would work really well so I decided to make two fun cards.
For the first one I used the circle pull card die designed by Karen Burniston for Elizabeth Craft Designs

On the inside I attached the speech bubble on the spinner piece out of the rectangle pull card set.

On the front of my next card I used the clock face and gears set.

For the inside I used the Lucy Label pop up with the stamped images and some more die cut gears.

Supplies
Stampendous - Screwloose N Sparky stamp set
Elizabeth Craft Designs dies - Spiral circle pull, Rectangle pull, Lucy Label pop up, clock and gears.

Boxed Flowers

Today for our CCEE Stampers challenge we were asked to use something corrugated and fabric other than ribbon.
For Mother's day earlier this month my Daughter gave me a lovely box filled with fresh flowers. I loved looking at them everyday so much that they are the inspiration for today's card.

I started with the basic box format then added the corrugated card. The lattice work and the leaves and small flowers were made with Elizabeth Craft designs dies and the daisy flowers and bow are a My Favorite Things dies. The bow and some of the smaller flower parts are made from felt, I have used brads and pearls gems for the flower centers.

Here is the boxed folded to fit in the envelope for postage.

I have seen several different tutorials of creating a popup boxes they all work with the same princpal, here is a link to one that I found very good.

Hope you are having a good day and enjoying the CCEE  Challenges.

Acrylics and ink

Continuing Joanne's themes for CCEE Stampers.
"For today's challenge I want you to get out your inks and acrylics.  Create a background using only inks, no stamps or embossing folders.  Something acrylic should also be on your card.  You certainly may use stamps for your main panel and sentiment.  Only the background must be made without stamps or embossing folders."

For my background I used distressed inks with sponges, I am really happy with the colours but the stamped image blended into the background too much. On second thought I really should of embossed it so that it popped. But I couldn't waste it so plan B was to take a section and shape it to make it 3d. I then finished with some acrylic music embellishment.

I remember when I first started stamping over 15 years ago, I was told that there is never a mistake in creating a card. It is your creation sometimes you may not like plan A so go with plan B. Well sometimes I go with C,D,E and so on LOL.
Supplies
Ranger Tim Holtz Distressed inks- tea die, dried marigold, mustard seed, wild honey, antique linen, brushed corduroy, Butterfly Kisses stamps - Music print

Happy Birthday Kitty

Today I am playing with my Karen Bruniston designed dies from Elizabeth Craft Designs.
I had a special request to make a card using a kitty and this die was just waiting to be used.

Whiskers the cat set has 7 dies, a base die, a top layer and several other die components. I cut the base die in black card, the top die was cut in brown felt card for some texture, the other pieces were just cut from card. The eye pieces were place so that Whiskers looks like she/he is dreaming of those fish in the corner.
The Happy Birthday sentiment is a sticker made with a die and double sided addhesive paper.

For the base card I have used the rectangle pull die and designer paper.

The fish bones came from the props 4 set.

I had lots of fun making this card, whiskers was really easy to make and I can't wait to make one with Buster the dog.

Holly Jolly Flowers

Welcome to the CCEE Stampers Challenge.  For the month of May, Hostess Joanne has some interesting challenges this month, we are going to concentrate on tools and embellishments rather than themes.
The challenge for today is to use at least one embossing folder, brad, and a self-made flower on your card/project.

For my card  started with the embossing folder, once embossed I sanded the raised areas to reveal the white core. I die cut the flower petals and shaped them before adding the brad. Finishing the card with a die cut sentiment and gems stones.

Supplies:
Sizzix Poinsettia die, Cuttlebug Holly embossing folder, spellbinders dies, Hero Arts Holly Jolly stamp set, brads, gems.

Time to pop on over to CCEE Stampers and see what the others have created.

Have a great day
