CCEE 1439 national dog week

To finish up Lois's month of playing hostess on CCEE Stampers, we're going to celebrate National Dog Week by including a dog on our cards.
I must say I was not looking forward to this challenge, a few months ago we lost our beloved dog of 18 years in his memory I have made this card using the two Stampavie Xmas Puppies. At Christmas He would get together with my Mum's dog and tear into their gifts, although I think it was more the dog biscuits hidden in the wrapping that was more interesting than the gift.
All the dies I have used are from Elizabeth Craft Designs, Outdoor edges, stand up words, evergreen pivot, clouds from all seasons tree. to decorate the trees I have used the micro fine glitter and glitter stickers.
For the for the front of the card I started with the puppies and the outdoor edges to create a winter scene. It was then attached to the card with foam dots, the base card cut and decorated with the pivot evergreen trees.
Inside it is a winter scene continues with a combination of  all the dies.

Pop on over to CCEE Stampers to see what the other designers have come up with.

CCEE 1438 word play hug

Today on CCEE Stampers we have a Word Play Challenge. In honor of "Hug a Greeting Card Writer Day," we were asked to include on our card something that starts with each of the following letters -- H U G. And tell us what each thing is.
I have used the words,
H - Hedgehog
 U - Umbrella
G- Green
For my card I have used the accordion rings designed by Karen Burniston available from Elizabeth Craft Designs.
I started with the Penny Black clear stamp set jolly friends, and layered the umbrella and clouds.

Once all the elements were cut out I attached the rings together. This is the time to do all the decorating, while you have a flat project.

To decorate the inside I have used the rainy day die set and the cloud from the all seasons die and micro fine glitter and glitter stickers all from Elizabeth Craft Designs.

A close up look at the last page elements.

Once the pages are all finished they fold flat for postage, to find out how to use the accordion dies look at Karen Burniston UTube tutorials

I Hope you like my take on the word play Challenge.

CCEE 1437 odd number embellishments

The CCEE Stampers challenge today is to use odd number of embellishments, I had so much fun that I got a bit carried away.
1 ribbon; 3 leaf flourishes, 5 flowers, 7 pearls, 9 glitter gems
The ultimate crafts cottage roses embossing folder was the monthly challenge product that my friends decided on when we get together. I have used the memory box flourish and MFT flower die-namics.

Don't forget to pop over to CCEE Stampers and see what all the designers have come up with.

Gate fold A' la Mode

Even though we only had to make 3 cards and I made a few more so here is another card that I made for our 3 month challenge using the Royal Stand up die. It was quite funny when we shared our cards Frances and I had created cards using the same idea with the stand up die, you can see her amazing card  here.
On the front of the card I have used  My Favorite Things a'la Mode Martinis on Me, flower and leaf flourish and some gem stone. Opening the first side to reveal the MFT sentiment.

The opening on the other side

and inside a place to write your own sentiments, I have also added another flower and leaf flourish.

Hope you like my card thanks for looking

Winter stand up

Each month I get together with a couple of friends and we attend our favourite scrapbooking /craft shop.
This year we decided to challenge ourselves to use the products we buy. It has been several months since we have gotten together as a few of us have been away travelling, so our challenge was to make 3 cards one using a sizzix stand up die, a sizzix flip is die and an embossing folder that we all liked.

CCEE1436 Newspaper

This week on CCEE Stampers our new hostess Lois has asked that we create a card with newspaper as inspiration.
This Sunday it is Father's day in Australia, I made this card for my girls to give to their Father, the newspaper is the only thing he reads and he loves fishing. I even went and borrowed a swivel and line from his supplies for embellishments.
The stamps and the designer paper are both from the Forever Friends Retro Collection"The Good Life"

Happy Father's Day to all the Dads. I hope you have a great day.
Take care

What's the buzz

Today I am celebrating the first day of spring in Australia with bright and vibrant colours. Spring and Autumn are a my favourite seasons, neither are too hot or too cold and I love Nature's colour scheme.
For my base card I have used the triple flip it from the Stamps of life designed by Stephanie Barnard The dies for the designer paper and the sentiment panels also come in the set.

The Sentiments and cute bee are all from My favorite things

Have a Happy Day
