CCEE1431 Song Inspiration

Our challenge on CCEE this week is to create a card inspired by a song.
I have had an idea since I purchased this Stamping Bella stamp, it was actually inspired by the Movie - Funny Face, where Fred Astaire does sing a song of the same title to Audrey Hepburn. Of course there is the Donna Fargo or the Red Hot Chili Peppers songs with the same title, so I hope that I have met the brief this week.
All stamps are from Stamping Bella and the dies are from My Favorite Things.

Now pop on over to the CCEE Blog and look at the other designer creations, while you are there add your own creation to the link.

Cheers

Stenciled

I had so much fun using the stencil and ink the other day that I decide to play again. It wasn't until I was posting the photo that I realized that I had used the recipe for this weeks CCEE1430 challenge.

For the background I have used TCW stencil template and sponged Adirondack inks ginger and raisin. The dies are from spellbinders and all stamps are from MFT.

Have a great day

Twin Boys

Time for a fun card my Cousins daughter recently gave birth to twin boys. It has been 4 years since we have welcomed twins into the family.
For the base card I have used Sizzix Regal stand up die designed by Stephanie Barnard. The stamp set is the Fizzy Moon set New Addition.
The heart ribbon was a cream adhesive tape that I coloured with copic markers.

Something Special

When I found the stencil that I used for this weeks CCEE challenge I also found Tim Holtz distress stain. I remember I purchasing this at a show and a friend putting it is my hand saying you really need this, having no idea what to do with it, it went to the back of the cupboard.
I am not sure if it was meant to be used this way but I quite like the look of the white ink on the black card it look a little like clouds, I had lots of fun using this product so maybe she was right I did need it. LOL

I finished the card off with a MFT Die-namic flower and black ribbon.

Cheers

Birthday triple Pivot

Today is my daughter's birthday and for her card I have made a Triple Pivot card, I have been wanting to made a triple pivot card, since I saw the tutorial on Karen Burniston's blog.
For this pivot card I have used the heart pivot die  from Elizabeth craft designs, all the dies for the layers are included in this set. For the center of the heart I have used gold card and designer paper and shimmer sheetz also from Elizabeth Craft designs.
The stamped image is a Stamping Bella uptown girl and the words are die cut and covered with micro fine diamond glitter.
The card folds flat for postage and when you open the card the hearts pivot out.
The hearts then lay flat once the card is fully open. In the bottom corner I used the Katie label die to write my own sentiments. One the other side I used the tattered lace champagne die that came free with a tattered lace magazine. I placed double sided adhesive on the back of gold card before die cutting to create a sticker, I then placed the sticker on top of blue shimmer sheetz that was also backed with double sided adhesive, before cutting out the champagne bottle.

Here is a close up of the shimmer champagne bottle and heart.

CCEE1428 Repurpose

For this weeks challenge on CCEE, Shirley has asked us to create with something that we have saved for a purpose. Now I had a certain card that I was going to make but then I went looking for my stamps and I found this set from Kanban, along with these feathers and ribbon that I had saved from when my daughter created some things for a bridal shower as part of her bridesmaid duties, so the original idea was shelved and this is what I came up with.
If you look closely you will notice some netting placed behind the image, it is that fine it was hard to photograph. The netting was originally a bag that I kept from Christmas, it contained nuts in their shells.

Remember to pop on over to CCEE blog and see what the others have come up with, join us and link your creation and remember if your are posting your creation to splitcoaststampers use the code CCEE1428 to your key words.

Have a great day and take care

It is time for another white on white online challenge this time this card was created for the yahoo group stamphappy for Australian and New Zealand stampers.
Another sympathy card  using a embossing folder and die cuts, this time I used radiant liquid pearls to highlight the embossed area.

Bon Voyage

Recently we celebrated our 30th wedding anniversary, I decided I wanted to do something where I was waited on and just relax, that meant no cooking, cleaning or grocery shopping my husband is just happy taking our caravan on our holidays. My sisters have been talking about cruising for a few years, but I have always been worried as I do get travel sick. So after discussions with family and friends I decide to book our first overseas trip. We had the most wonderful time, I took my medication and was fine my husband was lucky he didn't take any but he was fine also.

It was a great surprise to come home and find mail from my friend Val. Val loves cruising and she created this wonderful travel pop up card.

Now I am not sure of her list of supplies but I do know that Val has used the sizzix pop n' cut suitcase insert and base plate designed by Karen Burniston. It is now dis-continued but you may be able to find some still in stores or keep a look out on Karen's blog for any new designs.
I love the way the suitcase opens to reveal the hidden message.

Val also included a special Anniversary card for us.

Thanks so much for looking

Roar it is a 1st birthday

Today is my great Nephew Ryder's first birthday party and for his card I used this cute lion with balloons from Kanban. The image is coloured with copic pens and foam mounted.

For the base card I used Sizzix Royal stand up die designed by Stephanie Barnard, this set has 22 different dies, I have only used 4 for this card so I have plenty of options for further cards.

The designer card that I have used is from DCWV baby boy stack, I love these jungle animals and wanted to show them off, so the print is on the inside with the labels cut from the corresponding royal labels die.

Red Blue and White

Over on CCEE Stampers we have a new hostess for the Month of July, Shirley Quarry and for this week the challenge is to use Red, Blue and White for the CCEE1427 Challenge.
Remember to pop over to our blog and see what the other designers have come up with.
Now I intended to go with the non patriotic theme but then I remembered this stamp that I have had for about 10 years [ un-inked as yet] just waiting until it was needed.
Both my girls in the past few years have lived in America and the Statue of Liberty was one of the sights that they went to see.

I hope you like my card.
