serivette car

I was going through some card photos and came across this one I thought I would share. It was made for my friend's son. I really hate making teenage boy cards, I have alot of cute stamps suitable for girls and little boys not teenages. I came across this serivette when I was shopping and thought WOW. I paper toiled the serivette so the card just popped out of the card and stamped the checks with white ink.

Martini Samantha

I made this card today for another of my daughter's friends who is turning 18. I got to play with some new things that I purchased at the Brisbane Paper Festival the other weekend. Firstly the wonderful Martha Stewart border punch, a bit extravagant in Australia but very nice. The designer paper is also new and it goes wonderfully with stampin up retired cool caribbean, yes I still have some of this.
I had a blue flower from craft affair but it wasn't quite the right shade so I coloured it with my copic marker - frost blue B00. I also added paper piercing to the corners, it doesn't very clearly in the photo but I cut and added a gel sticker to pop out the martini glass.
Recipe:
Stamps: Rubber Romance - Samantha
Paper: DP - teal and Black Garden -Masterpiece studios, Cool Caribbean, black, white.
Other: Paper Piercing tool and mat, double stiched black ribbon, craft affair flowers and jewel, Martha Stewart border punch, copics, gel sticker

The third Wednesday of each month I over to club with friends, this year we have been doing something different and set ourselves homework, just so that we make an effort to stamp something each month even when our life is very busy. Now Frances aka Stampowl is always stamping so she never has our problem so we usually pick something that we like from her blog. This week Gai aka Poppy chose the diamond fold card, I had already cased my diamond fold card from Frances's site several weeks earlier so I chose to make a spring card with a varation. It may not look like it but you use quite a bit of card to make this, I think I may just use this for a special occasion card.

Best Things

I made this card very late last night, I was looking for a stamp to make a male card, but a came across this and since I found out my work friend had a birthday this month I just had to ink it up. My friend is always talking about her weight as we work all day with food it is hard not to be tempted with the goodies that we make.
Sorry about the quality of the photo but last night it didn't look blurry, I did not realize it was until I loaded it up today and I have already given the card away, but I think that you will get the general idea.
The sketch I used for this is from Talyor's Taylored Expressions Cupcake challenge TECC38

Recipe:
Stamps: Inkadinkado - 97648 bad or fattening
Paper: DP- GCD cupcakes, Blue Bayou, Real Red, Marigold Morning
Other: Blue Bayou ribbon, nestabilities, sml circle punch.

You're Sweet

Today's card was made for Taylors sketch challenge TECC57 . I used a new cupcake stamp that I was given for my birthday, it is from Amuse. I wanted to use Rose Red cs but I was shocked to find that I had used it all, I was so sure I had some more there. I did manage to find Ruby Red which was a close match so I went with that. I used my berry bliss dp, I just love it so I am glad that I have ordered more before it is discontinued.

I used the Happy Birthday embossing folder for my panel and the main image was coloured with copics and cut out with my nestibilites. The verse was punched with the word window punch.

Recipe: Stamps: Amuse - cupcake set
Paper: Berry Bliss dp, ruby red, pretty in pink, white cs
Other: nestabilities, word window punch, glitter brads, small rhinestones, copics, cuttlebug EB.

Disney Presents

Hi There,

My close friends know that it was my birthday last month and I was a bit sad because my daughter was away, way away living over seas for six months, she had just left before my birthday. But it was great to hear that she has settled in well and who wouldn't working and living at Disney World in Florida. It was good to see that she did not forget her Mum's birthday and a package arrived this week. My daughter knows my well and has purchased things for my hobbies, a golf ball with the Disney logo, eyelets for making cards and a jigsaw puzzle. The only thing missing was a book from our favourite author, but I know that she has been looking so may be for Mother's day. The only thing that I really asked her for was some Martha Stewart boarder punches, it is sad but we can't buy them in Australia, so I am keeping my fingers crossed.
